Honestly, since male forms of birth control are more effective ( http://www.nerve.com/news/love-sex/new-male-birth-control-procedure-100-effective-and-last-10-years ), if a man 100% wanted to take no risks on baby-making, he could ensure that it wouldn't happen. You were illigitimizing feminists and feminism on the basis that there are a few fringe elements in the movement who might prefer matriarchy over egalitarianism, despite that the core of feminism is gender equality. 3	Yesterday my girlfriend and I got into an argument... It seems to me that you might have come off as a bit patronizing. The best thing to do is not to immediately explain to her why she's wrong and making her sound ignorant. She was upset frustrated by something she learned in class and wanted to share it with you. A better approach would have been something along the lines of "if that statistic is true, then that's really awful and unfair, but i saw an article on the internet the other day...etc..."
