One tip ive learned over the years is that you can"t just rely on eliminating "bad" content from yout life - you have to also increase yout consumption of good content. Now that doesnt mean you have to consume it online, since fighting the alhorithim can suck, it just means that you need to find ways to add good content into your media diet. If you need some suggestions for content creators let me know and ill link them. I wish you the utmost success. 😊

Do you reasonably think you would change your mind if one of these men gave you books and tried to change hour mind to right wing views? I think it would be more helpful to figure out for your self why you feel the need / desire to 'rescue' and change these men. It's not uncommon for women to feel that they need to change a man and save him somehow , but i have never seen it turn into a happy or succesful relationship.

I am glad to hear youre going to therapy. Thats a great step. You are not stupid or wrong for wanting to believe another person. Youre also young and were dealing with someone who had more than a decade of life experience on you. In hindsight, you can see the red flags but that doesnt mean that you were stupid, wrong or responsible for your own harm. It's actually a self-defense mechanism to try and make your self be responsible for the harm done because if it was something you "allowed" that gi…

"but gets sexual super fast without even getting to know a woman and keeps going even if they’re uncomfortable (confirmed by multiple women)" This is rape and/or sexual assault. If you experienced something like this, then i would suggest seeking out therapy or a qualified professional. It sounds like a traumatic experience for you amd might be something you need professional help to process. Sometimes just logically knowing something like red pill ideology is wrong isn't enough to heal from the…

I live in the US so my experience of culture war is influenced by that. Here, I see it covering a range of topics that include: Race Nationality Religion Class (ie - poverty) Gender / gender expression Sex (male / female / intersex) Health status (disability) Marriage Body habitus (thin vs fat) And probably more that I can't think of off the top of my head. To me, culture war is the conflict between those who are societally empowered and considered "normal" vs those who differ from that norm. In…

I think this is one of the times where reminding your self of objective facts can be helpful. Ask your self, has there been any laws that were passed this year that caused you harm that were based solely on your identity? For example something like Idaho's bathroom law or the SAVE act etc. Have you faced any legal action based solely on your identity? Have you been threatened or harassed by police for this reason? There is a lit of culture war rhetoric that is meant to stir up this type of anxie…

What program are you referencing where a woman can get a scholarship based solely on her gender? If you can provide a link or organization please so that we can discuss the actual program and not an abstract idea. Secondly. Youre saying that in your time at college, there were no events that catered to men or a general audience? Perhaps if you can provide a time frame and place we can look at the actual evidence of programs and scholarships offered because that sounds like a very unique experien…

What exactly do you mean by this? Women make up 35% of the workforce in the 10 most highly paid fields. 35%. Thats not a majority in any stretch of the imagination. So when you looked the fact that women were offered scholarships and job fairs, it sounds like you feel that these women are unfairly taking the place of men. Men who hold 65% of the positions of highest pay. Do you see where there is an inherent belief that men are entitled to jobs and power and if women make even the slightest bit …

Yeah its a thoughtful question to ask. You have a good point to that the younger generations are showing trends changing. I think, to some extent, youre already answering your question by acknowledging that these types of questions are influenced by so many variables that it makes having a conversation about them damn difficult some times. One thing that caught my attention was your question of "what's the extent kd.the real problem" and that made me wonder if what you think of as the "real prob…

Just in case youve never heard of this resource there are now variations of what's called a yes, no, maybe list that is amazing for helping people who want to start having the type of conversations youre suggesting. They come with a lot of guidance on how to have these conversations with partners and really take away a lot of the fear/confusion/awkwardness of trying to start from scratch. https://www.scarleteen.com/read/relationships/yes-no-maybe-so-sexual-inventory-stocklist

Lots of good comments here but I will add this as I haven't seen it covered yet: Communication is a skill that requires knowledge and practice. It is NOT an innate ability. And this will be a significant task because not only are you working through it your self, but you have a goal to create a safe environment where your wife can grow with you. Totally doable, but definitely something that takes time, practice and the ability to make mistakes and recover. Since you are talking about sex specifi…

Quite possibly what you are noticing is an example of systemic racism. White voices / experience are often prioritized over BIPOC people's. This tends to reflect in what your algorithm shares with you and also in the overall trends of who feels like they are entitled to space and attention on online platforms.

Yes thats a good point i should have clarified that better. There are average men who espouse the redpill ideology and there are also influencers who spread this propaganda too. My thought was that most men probably arent going full throttle redpill based off the word of one random internet man. They likely hear the same messaging repeated down the line. So if we can discredit the main talking heads and expose it for the grift that it is, then it becomes easier to reach the average man and show …

To me it seems like such a blatantly untrue take on reality. You can walk into any grocery store and see countless examples of couples that redpill pushers claim don't happen. Hell, we have actual scientific research that shows married women will stay with an ill spouse vs married men who so commonly leave that medical staff now has to advise married women about the risks when they receive a diagnosis. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/living-single/202503/why-more-marriages-end-when-wives…

Dating apps are a money making business. They have no incentive to help people connect with healthy ling term relationships. In fact, the opposite is true because there is MASSIVE monetary incentive for them to keep you as a recurring customer. You need to keep that in mind because these apps are not a neutral tool to use. They have a specific goal: to make certain people rich by profiting off people who have a need they can pretend to fill.

Is it possible to have a sub group that meets to get the red pill guys up to speed with the rest of the group? It can be really challenging to meet people where they are when the experience gap is that wide. Maybe ask your main group if they'd be willing to volunteer to mentor some of the new comers in the sub-group. I think people's tolerance and compassion are more resilient when they feel like they are choosing to take on a difficult conversation rather than feeling like their safe space that…

Unless youre planning on trying to woo these 40yo men into a lifelong commitment with you, why do you care what they think? I see two real flaws here that are going to deeply hamper your succes in dating: You are viewing your relationship with women as a tool and a means to an end to secure status amongst other men. You value your status among these other men, who you admit you dont even respect, more than you value the humanity of your potential date. No one likes to feel like they are being us…

The "crisis of masculunity" is the idea that masculinity is something that can be lost or is bestowed/granted by other people around you and not an inherent state of identifying as a man and existing in your community as a man.

It can, but for the same reasons. Women can now gain knowledge from social media in ways that weren't possible before. It's a lot harder to keep a bad relationship going when yout partner is able to do things like hear other people's experiences or get free advice from qualified professionals who maintain a social media platform.

Evolution is not exclusively defined as "moving on genetically". It's also defined as "the gradual development of something, especially from a simple to more complex form". The point of the post was to say that our social dynamics and roles have changed over time and yes, men who refuse to change along with them will be viewed as less desirable partners. It's weird to only view this being removed from the gene pool as if life is only about creating offspring and nothing more. In that view of the…

Yes, 100% this. Thank you for adding this context because you are spot on. Thats also part of why I wanted to post this, because I want to validate people's anger. They should be angry that they were sold this lie so that a handful of horrible people could add a few more dollars to their corpulant bank balance. These people are coopting their valid frustration in order to exploit them for money. Your response does an excellent job of articulating that.

Im sorry that that is what you took away from this post. You said "They need advice that'll catch a spark that puts them on the conveyor line for learning relationship skills". Yes, that was the whole point of my post. Text posts are difficult but preferred in this sub. While you find the tone condescending, I found it hopeful because it defines a rather broad and complex topic fairly clearly while offering a general direction of action that, in your words, would help put folks onto the conveyor…

My 74 year old father has heard of red pill content because youtube pushed it into his algorithm (as YouTube likes to do). I think its fair to say that its pretty mainstream when it takes only a handful of clicks and recommendations on any social media platform for people to start being recommended this type of content. The problem you have is that youve had a bad experience that hurt you and brought up some unresolved feelings of shame and inadequacy. Man, we are all suffering under capitalism. The system is brutal. Having a partner who wants to pool resources abd build a life together is what is admirable. Women arent born with an innate drive to find a man with a certain salary. Its not like we come standard with the need for food, water and and a man with a 6 figure income. Disappointing that that is the message you took away from the literal hundred plus, comments people left. TikTok and the creators make money from engagement and clicks. They have zero incentive to promote things that are true or healthy. Promoting ideas and norms that encourage happy and well adjusted people and relationships will never drive a billion dollar industry. Why would you look to a corporation or business to guide your perspective in life?

Your best best is going to be educating your self. Reading what you can about intersectional feminism is a good place to start. There isn't really a way to atone for past wrongs without potentially causing further hurt to the people you threatened so I wouldn't recommend reaching out to any of them. Accept that this is something you did and that you now find reprehensible. it doesn't make them a bad therapist or anything. It is the point of therapy though for a therapist to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be open about things that you wouldn't otherwise share. If you can begin to explore those feelings of self-consciousness with your current therapist that's great. I just want to remind and encourage you to approach therapy in whatever way actually helps you move forward. If that means getting a second opinion don't be afraid to do that.

I'd be cautious about diagnosing his ex-wife as bipolar based on what he tells you. There are far too many men willing to chalk up all their problems to their crazy bitch of an ex.
