I didn't think imbignate's scenario was the best, because you could argue that the male strippers had an obligation to recognize her being drunk, and then not have sex, which doesn't happen with the accident. 1	Can't kill a bug, therefore, not a man. If it was a burglar for example, i would've absolutely stepped up, as i have in the past. But that's an extreme situation. If we're talking about equality, i think only in these extreme cases should the biological pre-disposition of the individual be relevant. One of the reasons i posted in the first place was to get some different feedback, mainly because i was thinking about this same point you brought up. What i came down to is that an insect is not really a real threat that you have to defend from, more of an annoyance. Also we live in a city, we have technology at our disposal, society, laws.
