There are plenty of women in the same situation looking for guys with kids. And there are also many women in their late 30s who don't have kids but are completely open to dating someone who does. It really comes down to the age range you're targeting. Most women in their 20s aren't looking for a 35-year-old guy with kids

Worst advice ever. After a divorce, family is one of the few support that we have.

Depending where you are located, the jugde may request your stbxw to get a job or he may calculate the alimony assuming an approximate income...it happened to me, my ex wife didnt want to work, but the judge adjusted the alimony pushing her to find a job.

And now, I just had to buy brake pads with rotors for her car and I may need to install it. However, I am not stupid. I am just doing this until the divorce is complete. After that, she will need to work and take care of herself. Just a few weeks more and I will be free!

My ex told me something similar...but she added that she think of me as a child, and she cannot see me as a men or couple. I am a child that is an engineer, pay two houses (including all the bills), is responsable, and cover 100% of the expenses of my kids (including her sometimes).

It really depends on the kind of boss you have. If he’s been through a divorce himself, he’ll probably get it and might even be supportive. But if he hasn’t, or if he’s a very conservative Christian type, I wouldn’t bring it up. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the kind of person he is. I mentioned to my boss who is the owner of the company. He told me, use the corporate credit card and go to Xscaret - Mexico and include the flight tickets, the company pay everithing.

Ahahah it happened the same in my case. But my ex is so lazy that she is not working...but she is full of energy to party all night on the weekends. I dont think about this anymore, I just accepted.

Forgot about the rules men. You accepted to have her in the house. You divorced to have peace, and with those rules you will have a war every day.

Nothing is going to change, my friend. It doesn't matter if the guy is good or bad to be around his son....nothing is going to change because it is a decision of his exwife.

She will need to pay child support. It is not your decision, It is the law. Alimony is optional.

Omg, it happened the same to my ex-wife. I always thought that the therapist that she was using reafirmed and pushed her to the divorce. And reading your post, I was right all the time. And now, 6 months after the divorce, my ex is dealing with the same problems of unhappiness, and may be is worst than when we were married...therapists should be liable for all the damages they create. I just continued my life because I didn't have an option. But I feel sad for her. She is dating a guy, but i kno…

I would not do it. But!!! You may give money to your kids and they can buy a bouquet for her. I always give my kids money so they can show appreciation and love to their mom. I don't know how you end your marriage, but if she is already your ex, you should not give her gifts or presents on these dates.

If she is reasonable person, as you mentioned, then any of you need a lawyer for the divorce. If she is getting a lawyer, then you may probably need it too. Good luck my friend!

What is the frequency of your visits? Is hard for a kid to see his father one time per month or every two weeks. His attitude may be related to you moving 700 miles away. If you have a bad relation, you can move 100-150 miles, so yo can see him every week....but 700 is a minimum of 10 hours of driving my friend....if you want to improve that relation, move closer and try to be present on his life.

I think that your kid knows her mom, and he knows that she would feel bad if she doesn't have one gift. He may just want to make her happy? Or may be she manipulate to receive something. But do not overthink this. My ex is the same thing, she likes to receive something on her birthday, mothers day, christmas...etc. so my kids know what she wants, and they always try to give her a present.

Just keep them men. Your kids would be happy to see those pictures when they grow up.

You have 4 kids my friend, what are you expecting? Get divorced and you will be in a worst situation for sure. Hire a company to clean the house 2-3 times a week, get help for your depression, and go to teraphy for your marriage. The problems that you describe are 50% your fault.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
