Good comment, but why is your formatting like that?

Stopped reading after this. Full on dumbass here and y'all are sucking it up. If you wish to quote (makes it easier for others to know you're quoting, not your own thoughts), add an > in front of the text. To stay on-topic, I think asking for their number seems most natural. Maybe ask if they want yours, to switch it up a bit. If you could expand your comment, that'd be appreciated.

I'm in my late 20s but always been skinny fat. Had a gym membership since forever but this summer I took it seriously for three months, skipped only two workouts due to vaccine, four days a week running PHUL. Quickly saw some progress, some friends even commented that I started lifting, so that's good motivation. Started picking up running too. For the anxiety, I've seen two therapists but didn't find it very helpful. Still have a referral but the wait time currently is months, so I'll probably …

Sure, I'm aware it's definitely no bad height, just not sure if 6'1" (say 5'11" in America) is something you considered tall. From your post, it just seemed implied that it should be easy with the ladies. Just haven't found that personally to be true. Height doesn't make up for my anxiety and lacking confidence.

I haven't found this to be true, not sure what is considered tall, I'm 6'1" in country where 5'11" is average, so maybe I'm not tall, don't really stand out, but still a virgin in my late 20s. Too much anxiety to approach and deal with women. Wish it was true it would be easy af.

From Scandinavia, you have maybe seen some variation of this type of comic or this, we're pretty known for having a big personal space in general. For some stranger to come up and speak to you, it's easy to violate it. Many will rather stand up than sit next to someone on the bus. You'll have to live here to really understand it. That is also what might be an advantage, since it's so uncommon, for someone to actually do it, really shows courage and it must be flattering. I have a few foreigner f…

I meant, just generally talking to strangers is frowned upon, men and women. Like if you said "how's it going?" to the cashier, they'd be (a little) surprised. In the US, this question seems fine, as it's understood it's mostly just a more polite "hi" and kind of rhetorical. I just think these small things make up a difference regarding social interactions here vs the US. To be clear, I'm not trying to make excuses here not to do it, just that I have trouble figuring out what to come up with, si…

The groceries comment was a little tongue in cheek, however I wish this was more natural. I’m assuming you’re American, correct me if I’m wrong, but here it’s a little frowned upon chatting up strangers. The only exception is when alcohol is there, so it’s a huge part of our culture, people start drinking from 14 years old (legally and parents are aware). Now this is no excuse, might even be an advantage, since this means you’ll stand out a lot, but it makes it harder getting started with this s…

I’m curious, what do you follow up with after saying hi? “So ehm, groceries, huh?”. I’m aware it’s not super important what exactly you’re saying but this is what prevents me from doing it, my mind would completely blank.

If I delete all my social apps, how do I find posts like these?

Maybe check out Atlas Obscura for things you’d like to see, saw it posted on Reddit earlier, looks cool.

This is not good advice, there is a reason girls give out fake numbers, this is to avoid a direct confrontation when rejecting you. Now imagine putting her on the spot and she gave you a fake number, what then? This will be a bad situation for everyone involved. Better is just to repeat it back to her but say a number wrong on purpose, to see if she corrects you or not. Probably even better, just give her yours. This also has the benefit to really find out how interested she is.

Ah gotcha, it was the word “agreed” that implied he asked to go to her place? So basically suggest your own place, then she can either decline, accept or suggest her own, which is all fine? If she asked/suggested to go to your place, would you say that’s a dealbreaker to you?

This is something I've wondered about, is it preferable to go back to your place and why so? Genuinely curious, I'd prefer going to their place but sounds like that's a bad idea.

You could say seduction/dating is about selling yourself, so I think it's a pretty relevant skill. It helps you be more assertive, sound more confident, learn to read people etc.

"Because you are an awesome gal to hang out with" If she continues though: "Why do you ask so many questions?"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
