My dad's circumcision was botched and caused problems for him as an adult. My husband and I decided to forego a circumcision for my son. If he wants it done, he can choose for himself as an adult. He is now in his early 20's. At times it bothered him because he was different, but now he is ok with it.

I am in Ohio, as well, but I am still concerned. It's about setting a precedent. When it passes in one state, others might/will jump on the band wagon and draft similar bills.

I am not saying men should not be held accountable. Engaging in intimate acts is a two-party endeavor. I am saying the language is open to too much interpretation and can be used unfairly.

I really hope it doesn't pass. It would set a dangerous precedent, and can easily be abused. With everything I have seen in the South regarding abortion bans, I see this law as getting rewritten a few times and then passed. Not being a resident of the state, is there anything we can do to prevent it? Once one state passes it, others will soon follow.

Unfortunately, I doubt there would be one. In their minds, I expect they are under the assumption that men can't be raped. Only women can be victims.
