How have I failed to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate? That’s your google definition

Still no proof apart from circular reasoning but alright man.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/23 07:11 PM

You gave absolutely no proof of why it’s presumptuous. You were absolutely using slippery debate tactics to try to make it sound like you accusing me of proselytizing was an irrelevant semantic.

I’ve seen some videos on it, and I know about the sects of Christianity that don’t believe. And yes we’re pre supposing we aren’t brains in a vat. Is most of your reasoning for not believing in free will from l Robert saplosky?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 09:01 PM

In a universe without slavery I’m afraid we wouldn’t have free will. We wouldn’t really be human at that point would we?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:52 PM

Your definition of all powerful is a little different than the definition most Christians use. If you don’t want to think God is all powerful then that’s fine, but all powerful beings still have to follow their own logic. He gave us his ethics, and he gave us free will. If we have a notion of “good” and “bad” then there must be notion of “best” when talking about morality. You can’t have good without bad existing, because if bad didn’t exist then how would we know something is good? God still ha…

I’m not a versed to hopping in and asking questions.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:39 PM

Let’s say the example is slavery. They used to own slaves and then stopped. We’d say that that’s better right?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:37 PM

A happy person in 1600 is definitely not a happy person now. I agree with that. And I’m not talking about happiness in the moment. Because Everyman is happy while having sex. Im talking about in general long term fulfilment and happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:34 PM
1

I’m assuming you meant to say a few objective rules. Let’s work on everything else though. For example, if a society way back then has an idea of something, pass forward 50 years, and their idea has shifted to something better. If something is getting better, then something that’s “best” has to exist, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:31 PM

A tenet of my religion is leading humans from a practice known to be destructive. Society would be much better if everyone didn’t have sex out of wedlock.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:27 PM
1

Okay, I’m assuming you believe that moralities change over time right?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:25 PM

The proof relies on what has made the most people happy in history. I know my answer to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:25 PM

To numerous amounts of people yeah, but they engaged with my post. How’s that forcing anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:23 PM

How do you define best and worst? Is it least harm to humans?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:21 PM

Since when did I force anything? I asked a question.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:21 PM

Religion shames destructive behaviour. The amount of single mothers out there right now is crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:20 PM
1

It’s not. Where’s your proof?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:18 PM

It’s also extremely bad faith to say it like God is obsessed with our genitals. Certain things are viewed as bad religiously due to the damage they cause.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:15 PM

I’m sad you think that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:14 PM

My entire premise is will the man be content with his life if he idolizes sleeping with women?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:12 PM

That’s my evidence for why hedonism is bad. I misunderstood you, if you want me to prove the God that I believe in exists, my first question is always how do you differ right from wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:10 PM
1

It’s not irrelevant semantics but nice slippery debate tactics. You said what you said whilst presuming that what I was doing was bad. So I said demonstrate to me why it’s bad. You obviously can’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:07 PM
1

I haven’t seg wayed into talking about Jesus after asking people if that will make them happy. My immediate follow through has been “finding a good wife will make you happier”. If you cared to read anything I said then you would’ve known, but you’re here to hate on Christianity so I get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:05 PM
1

It’s better if I try to convince someone who’s willing to be convinced than not. Demonstrate how that’s a bad thing. You’re using that word like I’m doing a bad thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 08:01 PM
1

My evidence is everyone worships a “God” based on how they live. God being the top of the hierarchy of importance in someone’s life. For many people nowadays “God” is hedonism. Hedonism is a path that’s been shown to make people not happy in the long run. God has to be much greater than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:58 PM
2

Can you define happy for me? Sex will make any man happy in the moment. Believe me that’s not real happiness. There’s plenty of people getting sex more miserable than ones who aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:54 PM

It’s not proselytizing if I’m not preaching. Don’t mischaracterize me. Have a good one.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:46 PM

That doesn’t make people happy long term though. Building altars of hedonism is not good.

It’s sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:36 PM

Nope, you’d have to be very ignorant to believe that. I understand that most people here aren’t religious, and I haven’t used religion in my arguments until prompted to state what I believe will make people happy. You sound very tolerant and stereotypically liberal, you’re a very tolerant group.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:28 PM
2

It would be profoundly presumptuous if I didn’t have any evidence. But I believe I do. Care to listen or just here to mock the religious guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:23 PM

Brother answer my question. Your intrinsic desires aren’t always what make you happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:19 PM

Yes. If you’re looking for high value woman it’s incorrect.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:09 PM

You can try to find a balance, but I’m mainly talking about the attitudes of the red pill towards women. They think it’s disgusting for a woman to sleep around but don’t have the same standard to themselves, that’s all.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:08 PM
1

I don’t think kids are for everyone. But I genuinely believe for all people that if they find the one, their life will always be better than if they didn’t. I’m talking about the unhealthy attitudes of the red pill with this post, I’m mainly targeting the unhealthy attitudes present toward women, that’s all.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:07 PM

I try to do that everyday. Part of that is helping out others and spreading the good message.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 07:06 PM
6

Yes. Relationship with God. Good relationships with your friends and wife. Good job. Good family dynamic. Good hobbies. Let’s build those instead of building up the altars of hedonism.

No I don’t, and I’m here to listen.

Do you think consistent sex from women will make you happy in the long run?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:20 PM

That’s exactly my point. Why not just spend your energy on finding the right person early on? Instead of sleeping around?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:20 PM
1

Makes life worse, idolizing pleasure above all, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:19 PM

Finding a partner is not for everyone? You sure about that? Having kids yeah that’s not for everyone. And absolutely if they find a good wife they’ll be happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:18 PM
1

See that’s just personal anecdote though. But fair enough for recognizing that the formula isn’t perfect.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:17 PM

But it makes that worse right?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:16 PM

1

And I’m literally a dude
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:15 PM

I didn’t say anything was your fault. My question to you is, wouldn’t you be happier if you spent the energy on finding a wife instead of trying to sleep around?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:15 PM
1

Whenever he wants? Don’t you think spending the energy on finding a wife instead of sleeping around when you’re young will make you happier?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:13 PM

I can tell you’re pretty young, so I’ll ask you: will sleeping around make men feel happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:11 PM

Explain your belief. Why do you believe that?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:11 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:09 PM

I don’t care if he wants to sleep around. My question is, will that make him happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:08 PM

The red pill becomes cringe when you think about it for just a little bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:03 PM
1

So you think a guy who sleeps around will have better relationships than a virgin?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:03 PM
2

The validation comes from social pressure. That’s literally it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:02 PM
2

I don’t understand you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:02 PM
1

I never said you should only have sex to procreate. And my point is that glorifying promiscuity in men will lead to them idolizing pleasure above all.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 06:01 PM
3

Man 2 had better odds of sleeping with more women. Man 1 has better odds of finding a meaningful relationship and life partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:59 PM
3

Do you think men sleeping around with loads of women will make them happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:58 PM
4

Do you think sleeping around with loads of women will make men happy long term?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:57 PM
3

That’s kinda boring? You’re proving my point. Society is losing its way. People prioritize hedonistic self pleasure as “God” nowadays. I really don’t think you’ll be happy if you spend your life trying to sleep with women. There’s nothing fruitful about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:57 PM
3

In that story he indeed was absent, but if I recall correctly back in those times the penalty for adultery was death, man or woman. Not defending it, as Jesus called it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:55 PM
2

That’s sort of the problem that I hope you’re seeing. You’re saying it’s mental if you’re both virgins. Why so?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:53 PM
-1

True, but it’s not as bad as you’d think. People just think it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:52 PM
0

People only have sex for pleasure in this context. Prioritizing men sleeping around with pleasure as the main focus will not make men happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:52 PM
4

So that’s my point, it’s a hedonistic pleasure that releases dopamine in the moment, but in the long term it’s something that won’t make you happy, which is why I’m against it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:51 PM
5

I’m saying men who have the discipline to keep it in their pants, who’re driven, motivated, in good shape, and focus on being the best versions of themselves will have more productive and more fruitful lives than men trying to sleep around with loads of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:50 PM
0

Do you think a man will be happy if he’s just chasing sex with women?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:49 PM
3

I don’t know if they were raping her, that’s too much to assume. Christ knew that she had sinned but the men who were trying to kill her for it had sin in their heart too. That’s why he rightfully called out their behaviour. It always bothers me to see men talking about promiscuous women being the coming of Satan yet being totally okay with doing it themselves. Pride cometh before the fall.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:49 PM
-1

Do you think a man being promiscuous will make him happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:47 PM
2

You can know what makes a woman laugh, how to charm her, how to make her smile, and everything about her without sleeping with her. You’re being delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:46 PM
1

So do you think promiscuous men are going to be happy in the long run going from woman to woman having sex with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:45 PM
6

This caveman logic. We live in 2023. If we were still hunter gathering then yes you’re right, but times have changed. You still haven’t answered my question, do you think that prioritizing sleeping around with loads of women for men to be a good end goal?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:44 PM
5

All of that is true, but will it make you happy in the long run?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:43 PM
8

I think virgin shaming is disgusting. I’m a man also, I’m not a woman. Do you not think that you’re perpetrating an ideology that will make people sad and unfulfilled in the long run by putting sleeping around with women as the ultimate alpha thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:42 PM
2

If you’re only goal is having sex with loads of women that’s going to warp your goals and expectations of what you really want, because having sex with women is really fun. Do you not think it’s inherently hedonistic and not sustainable? For happiness?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:41 PM
7

Sleeping around with women only teaches you how to have sex with women, that doesn’t teach you how to converse with women or make them happy or how to look for quality partners. You don’t need to have sex with a woman to know her.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:39 PM
3

I know all of your red pill talking points. I’ve been there. My question to you is, why are we glorifying an inherently hedonistic and destructive lifestyle to men? As the ideal end goal?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:38 PM
1

I don’t really know what you’re trying to say with that. My point is, why are we glorifying an inherently hedonistic lifestyle as the end goal for men?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:37 PM
13

I don’t think virgin shaming is a good thing at all. My point is, why are men glorifying wanting to sleep around with loads of women?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:36 PM
0

I agree, and you can weave your way to hell in a hand basket, but I’m saying why don’t we as a society have it equal across the board?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:34 PM
3

So you won’t answer it? Cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:33 PM
2

I’m very calm. Can you answer my question though?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:31 PM
2

Instead of wanting to sleep around and prioritizing that why don’t you focus on improving yourself as a man and as a person? Won’t the world be better that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:31 PM
1

You didn’t answer my question. Does your behaviour matter in the long run?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:30 PM
1

This is what happens when you’re online too much. Go outside and you’ll see plenty of average dudes with relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:29 PM
6

I’ll put it this way. Do you think a man will be happier if he spends all that time sleeping around on improving himself and finding a quality woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:29 PM
5

Do you think that if a man sleeps around he will find happiness?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:28 PM
4

You’re boring to women who probably aren’t life long partner material. No shame in that. The one will come, if you make yourself available in the right positions.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:27 PM
2

Complaining doesn’t lead you to fruitful solutions.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:26 PM
-2

Does that really matter in the grand scheme of things? Whether women are harsh on it or not won’t change the fact that in general sleeping around doesn’t lead to men being happy in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 05:23 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
