Ideally, basic shared values (basic human rights/etc.), Neurodivergent, measured above-average intelligence for problem-solving and social skills, open-minded, confident, creative Ambiverts with passion for artistic hobbies, at least some shared interests, child-free, marriage-free, highly independent, and highly diversely gender non-conforming. The kind of man who jumps straight to calling women bigots for exercising normal caution is exactly the kind of guy women are exercising caution around in the first place. A lot of the men arguing with you likely don’t disagree with this, but disagree that the other woman straight-up saying that Misandry is justified is “exercising normal caution”. I suspect that’s where a lot of the other men’s hang-up is, and it’s surprising that you still disagree that Sexism (misandry) isn’t justified, despi…

Adding onto your point, every time these threads come-up, the common dating Advice that “You’re not competing with other men, you’re competing with my peace” by women ends-up being disproven, when multiple women directly state that if you don’t pay, another man will. I suppose it doesn’t apply to men who actually apply their own standards to women, instead of conforming only to what traditional gender roles those women support (like the majority of men do).

Unlike historical myths, Ancient Humans who survived the high young mortality rates, lived until at least their 50s and 60s, while Male Andropause begins at middle-age too and the ideal reproductive age is early 20s, coinciding with when the Adult brain finishes developing, for both sexes. This means that Humans maintain one or more Monogamous and/or Poly- relationships well-past Reproductive age to continue to raise the Children to adulthood, then the Parents continue supporting each other as P…

Partly Disagree, yes, some Bi-folk have differing standards between the Sexes, including spontaneous versus responsive desire, but you would be incorrect if you believe that this applies to every Bi-male, but fair enough if the research and your experiences suggest that this is what is the case for Bi-males in general. All I’m aware of based on the existing research is that LGBT people do have brain differences, including Bi-males, and how it effects our behaviour including dating behaviours and…

A lot of women say they need a man to initiate to be attracted to him. Personally I’m not compatible with these women, so women who are willing to approach in a society that encourages it filters-out those women for me and others who feel similar.

Usually acknowledgment of the man’s physical capacity to harm compared to the average woman’s, or just plain sexism. Another thing is that male politicians are able to command authority more when they raise and project their voice due to their height and body size - a female politician who projects her voice in the exact same manner is far more likely to be seen as “aggressive” rather than assertive. This is partly why taller men are statistically more likely to earn more than shorter men (as we…

Partly, yes. gender roles are completely gone and everyone is allowed to live as they please with no limiting rules or expectations based on gender. Gender roles are a reflection of cultural expressions of certain biological-based (including gender identities neurological basis, most people being neurologically Neurotypical and Cis-gender) behaviours, to suppress this would be unhealthy, but too enforce it too strongly suppresses the natural similarities we share (as men and women are more simil…

We have a lot of studies suggesting a man’s income really does strongly impact women’s attraction, one study suggesting up to 1000x more than men. So at least a portion of the unwanted men would become genuinely wanted by having a Provider-level income that modern hyper-Capitalism has made unwanted. I personally think we definitely need to overhaul late-stage Capitalism anyway, but can’t make too much assumptions about how many unwanted men will become wanted again until (if) we actually get the…

Yep, adding to your point, it’s already happening. Australia for instance has a shortage of sperm donors, no doubt the high selection criteria decided by women such as Height is excluding too many men and the few remaining eligible donors aren’t enough, good riddance, I say!

Yes, but they’re still the only method to consistently meet a high density of people within your local area. I’ve scoured Reddit and other social media websites extensively for posts by people in my local area who are seeking new friends or more to meet, and it’s a low number of people at an infrequent rate, much lower if you’re outside of the US. I’ve slid into some of their DMs, such as a local Trans-woman I had a short-term friendship with, but it’s not a reliable method. Dating Apps are the …

It isn’t a “corner”, it’s mainstream. It’s disgusting that Reddit official policy is that Caucasian men cannot be discriminated against, that TwoX is a default sub that new users are automatically subscribed to, and that every male Inkcel space is removed while their Fémcel equivalents are growing and thriving. Just last week here someone shared a mainstream news outlet entitled “Yes I’m a Misandrist. So what?”, and the Guardian also pushes plenty of articles slanted against men. Every AskMen sp…

In my case it was Autism, not sure about other men. In high school I thought the popular guys were just more actively social and got girlfriends due to that and being pre-vetted in mixed sex friend groups, I had zero concept that traditional male gender roles are important for many girl’s attraction, or that conventional attraction based on genetics was a thing at all - just that the sporty guys obviously put in the work and girl’s appreciated it.

Partly Disagree. Most women would prefer to be single, but those whom are capable of neurologically accepting a shy partner (and want to) will do so, but the number would be closer to 95-98% due to mentally ill women, and such percentages depending on the country/healthy society. The issue isn’t these two extremes however, but the amount of humans who are not mentally ill, but have both partly subconscious and partly chosen, Selective Empathy due to Tribalism, and are willing to date the men who…

It’s fascinating that OP hasn’t responded to you yet when you took the question the most seriously and gaze a realistic answer that makes it clear that you do love the woman but that the relationship would fundamentally be changed forever and thus over - and thus your answer doesn’t fit the narrative of why it’s a cutesy question seeking only a specific pre-approved specific answer.

Partly disagree. It depends on your area’s demographics, especially due to many sections of Western nations experiencing increasing social media addiction, city/car-centric isolation, declining third spaces and education systems, immigration shifting population demographics, inflation, traffic congestion and pollution all being factors leading to increasing mental illness rates, and thus causing us low-income folk to be forced to be exposed to Communities that value bad men with a backbone more …

There’s a notable minority of men who were told that Providing and Protecting is simply his methods to attract and prove his worthwhile to her, and not specifically to compensate for her reduced libido, even if they were aware of and accepting of it. I also still don’t think enough men nor women are honest enough about how big the gap actually is, or else there wouldn’t be as many single men complaining online about their lack of Online Dating success instead of acknowledging online’s 80/20 rule…

It’s unsurprising that this has worsened for Gen Z young men. Increasing social media addiction, declining third spaces, increasing inflation, mental illness rates, more hours studying/working and driving through congested traffic in car/city-centric societies, Schooling during Pandemic lockdowns, many Western University classrooms having only a minority of English-speaking students, etc. And the programs to help with this include scholarships and DEI-hiring for women. A lot of the time they actually are attracted though, and that’s the exact issue - the fundamental desire gap. So most single women require objectively more effort from men to compensate for his baseline desire being far higher than hers, and that’s why it’s objectively more effort to add to a woman’s life without taking away, due to the reduced sexual fulfilment that she experiences - even from her (close enough to) ideal looking male partners who please her well. It is what it is, it’s just di…

For every one of your friends who perceive themselves to be out of his league, there are multiple women giving the common advice of “just be yourself, be confident, be assertive, the worst she can say is no” etc. Also, so long as “young” is 25+ once the individual’s brain has fully developed, there’s nothing unethical about older people pursuing younger 25+ adults.

What I generally see outside for Gen Z, is either a matched couple, or occasionally women who are allowed to dress unkempt, nerdy or be overweight, with men who are a healthy weight, clean/well-dressed, and the same (average) height or taller than me. It’s rare to see a much more attractive man, and extremely rare to see a short or shorter man with a woman. It’s rare to see a major gap in Looks/lifestyle, but that’s not the point, when Online Dating’s statistics do have this gap and online datin…

Indeed, although there are women who claim that “body count” and “the past doesn’t matter”, so men who hold them to this standard and don’t reveal they’ve had past sex with other men, Trans-women and/or prostitutes are simply meeting her standards, even if she would actually hypocritically have issue with his past sexual partners - but then that’s on her.

Yep, there are a whole lot of western women who do care and behave hypocritically as well. For example the video games industry received a lot of criticism in the early-2010s when major Feminist Anita Sarkeesian directly associated males enjoying Fanservice content with being violent, and while the GamerGate movement tried to prevent this, major game companies listened and significantly reduced such content. A whole lot of western women really are critical towards western men seeking sexual fulf…

Agreed, and this is a good thing. And personally I find the desire gap between most women and men to be fundamentally incompatible without a man having to compensate and her to settle for him, and that’s usually for most of the 60-70% of people whom do date, but for the fortunate 10%ish who have mutual egalitarian relationships, good for them, and I’ll continue to seek the same for myself only if I truly meet a compatible partner, as someone with the odds stacked against me due to being a part o…

It’s amusing that “you’re not competing with other men, but with my peace” is a common piece of dating advice, when there’s been several women in the comments both in the previous thread on this subject and this one, directly stating that if you don’t pay, men who do pay will outcompete you. At the end of the day, women are the sexual selectors of our species and it is determined by the individual man to what extent he is willing to sacrifice his principles to conform to women’s standards for selection if that is what he wishes to do. I fully believe there aren’t enough quality emotionally intelligent and empathetic women (nor men) to go around in our species, but I’d rather be happily single for life than settle for less, but I concede that many men clearly do feel they have to, fo…

Wilful ignorance, and discomfort with the reality of how much more driven men are to be with women, because then they’d have to concede that men finding sexual self-fulfilment is objectively more effort than women’s efforts to be happily single and that single men venting about this has actual merit.

Yep, “expert” opinion pieces keep blaming men for not stepping-up, plenty of critics also blame the negative effects of Capitalism, but while I do think both are contributing factors, they’re also simply obscuring the reality that even if those were all solved tomorrow, the desire gap means most women simply don’t find the sacrifices of relationships to be worth the reward in the end. We need to cut through the BS and be more honest about this as the root cause, since there is no solution for it…

In men they are already physically neutral about or especially attracted to: Social extraversion, domineering and charismatic. Quiet confidence is mistaken as shyness or simply not attractive to her anyway, because then she has to also actually make an equal effort to engage in stimulating conversation, to prompt him to be engaged enough to equally express himself in return - rather than for the man to carry the conversation and entertaining them both.

Partly disagree. It is good when aspects of dating become better for both sexes equally, but us Progressive Egalitarianists do not believe that this is being achieved due to socio-cultural factors that we’re capable of influencing. There are dishonest women and men who are benefitting from the imbalances and gaslight that this isn’t the case that we have to be cautious for their deceptive behaviour negatively effecting our dating culture, and all research is indicating that the general lonelines…

Partly disagree. Women and men should only care to the extent that an unhealthy dating culture both reflects, and perpetuates, an unhealthy community social culture between adults in general, and while not being anyone’s fault nor responsibility, still objectively is what it is in the sense that it directly and indirectly contributes to a general loneliness epidemic, reduced size and percentage of families within a country, and reduced all-ages community social groups and events as well. You’re not wrong, it’s just that people have different social needs and energy levels, and a lot more couples need to recognise and discuss this. From what I can tell, it’s usually ideal for most Neurotypical people to sacrifice at least 25% of their weekly free time purely for a partner, and another 10% for minimum extra communication sprinkled in-between work/personal time. And once having children, 50% minimum each and 75-90% when the duty of parenthood requires it. However, some of us are no…

If anyone would like to continue discussion on the phenomenon, please search Reddit Communities for the smaller alternative PPD’s for the discussion I have posted on it. Shhh, despite Feminist critiques also bringing up how Heterosexual women experience this as a form of sexism under patriarchy, according to the rules, it doesn’t exist anymore. It’s almost as if they lack counterpoints to argue against it, and banning the topic makes it appear that you’re too close to being accurate to the reality for many women. But according to the rules, discussing how Heterosexual women are effected by this due to sexism under patriarchy is against the rules and must be treated as if it is non-existent. Yep, but this and the fact some confused CómpHet folk end up accidentally taking it out on their partners that they feel confused/disappointed when they gradually realise they aren’t attracted to them, isn’t allowed to be discussed at all now anymore, despite plenty of women and men experience a lifetime of abuse and trauma from societal conditioning for it. While it’s a little different, many men were advised that women want a man who can be a Provider, and providing without expecting anything in return (but being grateful if someone does return the favour in some way) is a form of expressing “niceness”/kindness. This is the primary dating advice I received from my mother at puberty. Meanwhile the vast majority of people on this earth managed just fine. /r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:13 AM

For many men it’s not possible on the biological level, and many women are content to settle for a man they romantically love but don’t actually desire, seeing sex as a reward for him rather than an actual mutual egalitarian effort. We should encourage women to be honest about this, and let potentially the majority of relationships collapse entirely.

Many men have felt they have to express a false level of interest when initiating with women, and in the relationship in general to keep-up with initiating dates, gift-giving, etc. Why can’t those whom wish to practice modern egalitarianism in their gender roles ask the same of women?

Misandry is more covert and subtle, and societies can have normalised misandry that is difficult to criticise without social scrutiny because of this, I.e. modern western gender roles still being more traditional for men, but it’s factual that Testosterone increases likelihood of propensity for men to commit violence (ideally for self-defence), including sexual violence, and patriarchies end-up being inevitable unhealthy implementations of systemic means to enact it onto women and children. The desire gap is what it is. In an ideal world, despite this, men are able to be satisfied enough with women’s lower libido and responsive desire, so long as the relationship still feels egalitarian in effort. In reality, the traditional expectation is still that the man leads and initiates interactions, asking for dates, always having to choose where to go out, providing through covering for the bill, initiating sex, and many men anecdotally report women being starfishes in bed who still expre…

Most people don’t have the developed emotional intelligence skills to hear a diverse range of experiences from the human condition, and over-estimate how much they do. Personally I come from poverty, and also had multiple self-diagnosed sociopaths reveal it to me even back in high school, because they said they could tell I wouldn’t judge them for it. As for why many men report opening-up to women more commonly going negatively, it’s usually the previous reason plus also being a matter of her be…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 11:11 PM

It can be beneficial, but some of us have very diverse and open standards, so we inevitably develop a physical attraction to any/all male/female friends who are capable of potential mutual attraction, and it’s far from ideal when I’d prefer to be friends with people I have zero attraction to. I still highly value platonic interactions with women but that doesn’t change this fact being true for most men, possibly in part due to biology.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:03 AM

The fact that almost none of the answers are mentioning this factor either means they’re just wrong or intentionally being wilfully ignorant to be contrarian and “win” the argument.

Do you suspect that, on the biological level, while men obviously have more diverse standards, that they may also just straight-up have more capability to alter their natural instinctive standards compared to women? It’s honestly starting to look more and more like this is the case, the longer that women state that their standards are simply “biology” while pushing for plus-size models and more realistic women in media such as gaming (post-GamerGate movement), etc. while seemingly completely una…

In my experiences most men feel this way about their female friends. Well you take issue with a lot of human behaviour then Correct. The current state of the world is because of too few social Progressives speaking up. Of course if you're trying to insult someone, hitting a sore spot is usually the way to get the desired result. And is emotionally immature behaviour in general. The fact that it’s normalised, is part of the exact issue. Comparing incels to oppressed minorities is ridiculously extreme. While it’s an analogy, Inkcel males are far more likely to be e…

I know. The virgin part isn't considered and only hurts because thats what the man is insecure about, not because the woman actually cares. I can assure you of this. And personally find it to be problematic to specifically insult people based on something they are insecure about. When women call someone an incel they're almost never referring to their inability to get laid but their misogynistic attitudes. That’s part of the problem. Younger generations of men are going to associate being an Inkcel with meaning they must be doing something wrong/being a misogynist by default even when they’re actually not. Plenty of them already are. It would be more accurate to allow Inkcel and virgin to remain neutral terms, and call men who are being misogynistic a more accurate term …

And with depression rates increasing across the board, along with singleness rates (although not all single people are unhappy about it) clearly the current model isn’t working for enough people. When there is a systemic problem, adapting to it like OP suggests (rather than advocating for change) simply also leads to miserable relationships (50% divorce and 50% infidelity rates). “It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick (both general and dating culture) society.”
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 06:10 PM

Good. For too long, most of humanity built romantic partnerships based on consciously and unconsciously intentionally and unintentionally deceiving, misleading, and exploiting each other. Now that we are much freer as a species, if the absolute truth caused zero humans to want to reproduce, then that’d simply be natural selection and us failing to socio-culturally adapt to what instincts we can alter (research indicates that neuro-plasticity remains high in age for healthy brains).
