Mine filed an ex parte motion based on lies but it had been par for the course leading up to that. We settled shortly after that but the lies seemed to be the only way my ex could feel like she was “winning”. It didn’t work and I didn’t stoop to the same level.

Mine took about little over a year. The weight that was lifted once we finally settled was significant. The nightmares increased but mine was very traumatic leading up to the divorce and during so I may be a little different. I focused on myself, my kid and rebuilding my life. Throughout the divorce life seemed very dark, it’s better now and I look forward to my new life. Hang in there.

I am a female so take what I say with a grain of salt but I was where you were. I wasn’t the birth mom and in a same sex marriage. My ex took our child when he was a newborn under the guise of a vacation to her parents and never came back. She had me move to “save our marriage” and then divorced me when I got there. She then withheld our child for almost a year in the divorce hoping I’d give up. I almost did but she was too greedy to accept the offer and I am so thankful she did not. I wanted to…
