Seems to me like you're starting to allow the whole 'pick up' thing to turn you into a bit of a douchebag. Who cares if your friends arnt into reading articles about picking up girls? I go out with my friends because they're my friends and i have fun with them. If i decide that i want to hit on girls while i'm clubbing, i go for a walk on my own around the club until i see someone to approach. Dont let pick up make you LESS sociable - thats almost the opposite of what you should be trying to ach…

Do you ever try to get them home on the first meet/date? Also, when you say you leave early, how early is that? like how long would an average first date last? and when you say you have to head home what reason do you give? EDIT: Oh and ofcourse: thank you very much for sharing - i lost my virginity at 20 too, i wonder if i'll do as well as you in the next 7 years haha.

Hmm, as much as a love you guys here at seddit, i dont think it's a good idea to be encouraging a 16 year old to be going out and doing cold approaches. At 16 you;'re still in school, you still have opportunities to form relationships through social circles - work on that rather than having to cold approach randoms.

Yeah, unfortunately i learned this the hard way - as im sure many do. Hopefully this article will prevent it from happening to others. Well written sir.

Biggest moment was the first time I went up to a girl and approached her direct at a club. It felt great AND it worked. Made me realise the importance of making REAL approaches instead of just hoping for something situational to come up (it rarely would) Before this, I had pulled plenty of girls in clubs but I was far more hit and miss due to relying largely on luck to get me into conversations with girls.

Yeah, it was a big club with 2 large rooms, each with 2 bars so I was basically just bouncing around from dancefloor to bar to other bar etc. The place was big enough that I doubt anyone except maybe the bar staff realised I was alone. When i wss on the dancefloor i was dancing. I wouldnt necessarily recommend it to anyone but i go clubbing with my friends a lot and as such am very comfortable dancing. If I was just stood on the dance floor I'd draw more attention and also feel super awkward. So…

To an extent, yes. You can't exactly have a full on deep conversation there but you can still tease them and build a little 'raport'.

If I had had more success with any of the individual girls I would have stayed with them. The girl I mentioned who text me was my first approach of that night and I stayed with her for over an hour before we went our seperate ways - a far more successful night than this one, I agree. But what would you have done if you approach a girl, kiss her them get cockblocked? Go home to prevent yourself from being a slut? Seems silly when the next approach could be something more meaningful. I know this n…

I see your point but I like it because it does a lot: -Its a shocking/funny way to involve/disarm the friends -prevents the friends from thinking 'who the fuck is this stranger hitting on my friend' -it gets your intentions out there - I often find that if girls work out that you're hitting on them you're creepy, but if you TELL them you're hitting on them you're just a confident guy . -It let's the girl know that her friends arnt judging her for taking to a stranger. The last one is probably on…

A smiley :) is always creepy. But i use the ;) and =P (or :P) at times. Often when im talking to someone i'll say something rude, but with a cheeky smile on my face - in real life that's obviously a joke but by text theres always the risk of misinterpretation, so putting a '=P' face and risking looking 'less masculine' is worth it to me.

Ah that's awesome, i wish i had a lesbian friend :( I like the idea of taking a photos when you get someones number, thats the 2nd time i've heard of people doing that on here -will definitely do that next time i number close someone.

As an ex-super-skinny guy who bulked up and got some extra muscle - I can tell you that an improvement in your physique will boost your confidence HUGELY. I find it far easier to believe that i'm attractive now - and one you believe that, approaching becomes 10x easier. (In the mean time though, look around you and you'll see loads of HOT girls with overweight or not particularly good looking guys and you'll realise how many other factors are at play)

Awesome, i found this guys youtube channel earlier today actually and was very impressed by him. My question: I noticed you're chilled/mellow when picking up girls. Was that something you learned/developed over time have you always been like that in general interactions?

Yeah, i dislike a lot of the 'PUA' garbage that's out there. The revenge seeking nerds who sit on the forums all day discussing what they think would work. I'd say for every guy who is going out and making legit progress by approaching girl there are about 5 nerds fantasizing about which opener would be most likely to work if they ever left their basement long enough.

Congrats on your kiss, and also for having the balls to go out and pull - but i agree that the magic trick thing is fucking lame. (also, reading neil strauss is lame too) The Game and all that 'mystery method' and 'negging' and 'hey guys lets get attraction, then comfort, then seduction blah blah blah' stuff is all pretty out dated and nerdy. I honestly think the best learning resources out there come from RSD and simplepickup. (simplepickups good stuff is subscription, but you can still learn a…

Can you learn to get over the pain of flakiness like you can learn to get over the pain of rejection? Im pretty new to this and the flakes/stop replys after a great interaction always hurt for a a while.

Ah, in that case all i can really say is that there's a lot more to communication than what you say - it's never been awkward when i've said it but i can see how you'd read it and think 'that sounds awful'. I do think in pickup in general alcohol is a crutch though. (my opinion)

What, because i don't drink? I know a lot of people who are way more awkward than me who drink. They can't converse with people for sh*t so they turn to alcohol and get smashed instead. Alcohol is a crutch.

Thanks. I was definitely a pussy for a good sized portion of friday but thanfully i managed to force my way out of it and even ended up with a bit of success :)

I cant help you with being the life of the party but as a non drinker (i had pancreatitis) i always get the 'what are you drinking? oh, why not?' question. If people react negatively and want to to drink my response is usually a jokey "Yeah, i'm allowed like 1 sip of beer an hour and i just had it im afraid" or something like that.

To me, there are 2 key things you need to do to get women: 1) Be attractive (=/= good looking) 2) Approach Once you're confident that you're an average, attractive person - ie you're not horrifically deformed looks wise and your personality is attractive, all you need to do is talk to girls so that you can convey that attractiveness to them. Equally, if you're approaching girls but you're a shitty person, it's not going to work. Need both 1) and 2). Just remember that by attractive i dont mean g…

Most of the tips you read about seduction in general are based around the club and bar scene bro, unless stated otherwise. If youre going out with the intention to mack on girls, dont get smashed. It may help you feel more confident but it'll hold you back an 1) you wont learn to approach sober and 2) you'll be less in control. I dont actually drink at all due to health problems, but its fine to drink, as long as you dont get too drunk.

Ermmm... SORT OF. A lot of people use the 'direct' approach, ie going up to a girl and basically telling her upfront that you think she's hot. BUT, jumping from 'i think you're hot' straight to 'will you go out with me' is a bad move. Think about it from her POV, she's knows nothing about you, you havnt even spoken to her except for when you were asking her out. Instead, the usual more successful method is more along the lines of "You look amazing, i had to come and meet you, whats your name?" H…

Thanks mate. To be honest, i'm not particularly good at dancing WITH people as i dont get much practice. I always dance my ass off when im in the club with my friends but dancing with a girl always just kind of feels awkward so the way in which i USE dancing with girls might not be quite what you expect. Basically, i will only ask her to dance if i believe she's into me and would be down to make out. Once i've decided that she's attracted to me - after a bit of flirting and IOIs from her - i'll …

Given that this is stupidly long and most people probably cba reading it, i'll make some cliff notes: Thursday: -Decided midway through the night to make a solid approach -Ditch my friends and head to other room in club -See girl who looks at me a couple of times -Approach her with "You are amazing, what is your name?" -Very positive response to opener and flirting -Make out -With her for about 45 mins but she wont come home with me because she doesnt want to ditch the friends. Friday -Following…

Your question itself is flawed. "Does it really work?" It's been written on the internet, possibly by people who have used it and who have at some point had success with it. So by that logic, yes, it does work. Sometimes. What you want to be asking is "Does it work regularly?" or even "Does it work BETTER than the more socially acceptable normal ways of hitting on girls like i dont know, talking to her, flirting, then asking her out?" To those questions, i'd say probably not. You've had no chanc…
