I've found that Determinism can (temporarily) make believing in "freedom" impossible. Then you realise that whatever will be will be and that you're just along for the ride. Maybe I will shoot myself, or perhaps I'll have that coffee, I won't really know until a few milliseconds after the decision has been made. I have no choice, but I also have no guilt or responsibility. I think I can live with that.

At the end of the day, it's all just narratives and stories that someone else has made up. Creative souls use history, philosophy, science etc as materials to help them build reality in their image. Spengler, Yockey, Peterson, Greer, Clinton, everyone is just peddling their own brand of bullshit. Whether or not they believe in it is irrelevant. Equally irrelevant is who's "right", in terms of ethics or accuracy. All that matters is who's winning. When you're on top, your reality becomes the real…

Caesar didn't just drill his legions. He ate with them, marched with them, gambled with them, slept on the floor with them, everything. His veterans followed him into the beating heart of the Empire, and stood by him when everything looked hopeless. They invaded their own home country because he asked them to, clashing with one of the most successful Generals in the Roman Republic (who was also backed by the heads of state). As soon as they crossed the Rubicon it was all or nothing. The die trul…

I think it would be more accurate to say that the Ego's conception of the Self is an illusion. The Self for Jung was a unity of conscious and unconscious, a full realisation of the psyche. The Ego happily claims to be the Self, but the Ego's an arrogant prick that doesn't realise how small it is. This is all very serendipitous, though, as just an hour ago I was reading an article on Anima integration. What were your experiences in getting yours in check? I know that Jung referred to shadow integ…

Fuck off with the "Pain is freedom" bollocks. Pain and stress are about a third of growth. Another third is fuel (what resources do you have available), and rest (how well you recover). You wouldn't stop eating and sleeping, then go to the gym and max out on all your lifts. No matter what pep talks you give yourself, it's not going to happen. Just because you're in extreme pain doesn't mean it's all for a purpose. That's pseudo religious thinking. Equally there's no need to be afraid of pain and…

Just a word of warning about Zarathustra, it's pretty much slap bang in the middle of Nietzsche's writing, so you'll want a more general overview of his work before reading. As GLO said, the Youtubes has some good content for this. I'd pay close attention to Human, All Too Human, and The Gay Science to get the gist of his earlier work. Googling around for reviews and discussions will help big time. Something else to consider is the translation. TSZ is a bit of a bitch to read, but is an absolute…

I don't think anyone was saying that, more that women in positions of authority are generally unpleasant. Men can be cunts too, but if I had to choose between a male or female manager, I'd choose the former every time, no matter what gender I was. I wonder how many people would agree with me.

I think you've had a few bad experiences, and have lost sight of something very important. Namely - sex is fun. I'm guessing it's become something of a complex for you over the last few months, and you've got bad associations with it. That's fine, nearly everyone has some sort of sexual hang up they struggle with. But if you keep approaching sex as something to fear, then you're going to keep being disappointed in yourself. If you haven't already, go and read Sex God Method. Pay close attention …

In what ways is it more complex? How does being the only superpower affect internal politics? Your counterpoint seems to be that in other parts of the world Liberals and Conservatives ARE'NT different, which was already asserted by GLO. How do the factors listed (geography etc) affect a country's politics? Can you elaborate on your point about the Nordic bloc and Germany? The reason I'm asking all these questions is you've written a lot, but said very little. So far it's been vague statements an…

Another problem is that the same patterns of belief that lead people to slavish devotion also carry over to science. Science is their god, scientists are their priests, and research papers are their scripture. If science can't/hasn't proved it, then it doesn't exist. Perhaps I'm just trying to justify my own mystic/philosophical leanings. I don't know. But science seems to be a difficult game to play. The phenomena and material knowledge is undoubtedly out there, but it requires interpretation b…

Dafuq are you doing for ten minutes? Filing your taxes?? You'd better be setting records to justify that sort of rest time. Obviously you take a rest between sets, and a longer one between exercises. I like 1 minute in between sets, and 2 between exercises. On heavy compounds I'll rest 2 minutes between sets, then if I'm moving to another heavy compound I'll rest for 3 minutes between exercises. And the Traditional way of dealing with the shadow is through conquest and victory, correct? Because that embodies the virtues of the transcendent masculine - bringing light (order) to (chaotic) darkness. JBP talks a lot about transcendence, especially in regards to truth, he's gone deep into the symbolism of the Eye of Horus for example. Plus his talks about the shadow centre around assimilating it into your conscious being, rather than letting it rule your sub conscious. So, his message is mor…

Can you give some more examples of guys being suckered into the occult? What's the effect of Peterson's Mysticism on those lost boys? Because the way you phrased it implies something hideous. I get what you mean about masculinity. JBP settles for an, at best, Bourgeois conception of masculinity, rather than promoting an Ascetic or Warrior ideal. Sign of the times.

Frame is king - everything else is secondary. If the strength of your frame rests on being big, or looking good, then yes those things seem to be vital. But having a clearly defined reality, and the will to impose it, outclasses pure appearance any day.

So, if the woman doesn't have sex out of love, then it's done for her own pleasure presumably. When she has children, it's likely going to be done for her own enjoyment, to complete the picture she has of her "perfect" life. Therefore, she'll only truly (I use that word loosely) love her kids when they make her happy - by fitting in with whatever her ideal vision of raising kids is. A mother who has experienced a love beyond mere pleasure is going to be able to (probably) transfer that to her ki…

Hey fuck you, us pompous wankers need something to do in our spare time. I will concur that Nietzsche was an absolute cunt, and this is reflected in how he writes. It's a tantalisingly brief segment of Thus Spake Zarathustra where the birth of the Ubermensch is mentioned in relation to standard morality. From what I know about Nietzsche's vision of the Overman, my guess is that Slave Morality permeates everything surrounding him, so that the Overman is compelled to revaluate all values. Then, after he's smashed all previous valuations, the Overman is confronted with a void of meaning. Staring into this abyss sparks some soul searching, where his own tenaci…

Very well expressed, Slave Morality does stem from the ressentiment of the Master's values. Although it has some value in itself - it's raised the cunning and intelligence of humanity (centuries of scheming and mental gymnastics will do that for you) but at a huge cost to our overall being. Although, Nietzsche believed that when the Slaves become the Masters, this heralded the coming of the Ubermensch. Probably (in part) due to the amount of suffering created by Slave Morality forging a being th…

Not particularly, Master Morality is inherently elitist. It champions virtues like strength, honour, and power, values that only the powerful few can embody. Slave morality subverts these values, and vindictively champions weakness, cowardice, and inaction. Only it dresses them up as restraint, pity, and humility. If only few can be strong, then anyone can be weak. So Slave Morality has the capacity to enslave everyone, but only some can be Masters. Not that Nietzsche recommended either of them.

You've somewhat missed the point. Yes these arts developed in war, but my point is that they didn't take over the battlefield. Samurai weren't forsaking their blades because Jiujitsu was so much more effective. In the same way, Krav Maga is intertwined with the Israeli military. But they don't throw away their guns and charge at Palestinians with bare fists do they? They take the logical approach of bombing the shit out of them. Martial Artists aren't warriors They are athletes. Martial Arts have never dominated warfare at any point, because what makes them possible also makes them obsolete. The mental capacity to learn the complex motions and patterns of unarmed combat also allow us to create and use weapons. That same intelligence lets us talk, which lets us recruit allies to us, and form armies. If I want to defend myself, why should I learn BJJ when I can learn to shoot a gun? Oh I know that, human nature predates civilization by quite a while. I thought that dr_warlock was saying that if guys were to have any social input in their sexual strategy removed, then most of them still wouldn't get laid. So those that blame modern society for their lack of success should look closer at themselves. I brought up the Pareto principle because it states that 20% of causes create 80% of effects. So it could have been, before civilization, that 20% of guys got 80% of the females, …

It's the complete opposite of how you're seeing it. It's having complete authority over her, and her loving you for it. The first step in having authority is holding yourself accountable for your actions. That's how people respect you. This also comes with responsibility - you're the leader of the relationship, so the decisions (and the consequences) rest with you. You also have to reward her for being a loyal follower. I understand that most guys 'didn't sign up for this shit man!' but they're here now, so it's a bit late for complaints. The 'average man' can object to reality all he wants, it doesn't change what's happening to him. It takes power to rise above average, power that most men will never possess. I agree that being social is necessary for everyone, and that getting laid is done by being social. What I'd hoped the first paragraph made clear was that being an introvert isn't a commentary on your social skills. There's no excuse for being anti-social. If you had trouble getting laid, then that's a reflection of your social competence, not because you're an introvert. People have a conception of 'oh introverts, they're shy and withdrawn, they just need to work on their social skills'. And 'w…

I agree that we are all social creatures, I hope I made the importance of being social clear in the piece. I also don't think it's a question of skill either, it's more about a person's temperament. I agree with you, for the most part. When I say introverted, I mean it in the sense that Jung used it. It can be defined as 'inward facing'. That boils down to being more concerned with the inner world than the outer. What it doesn't mean is that all introverts are shy and anti-social. I think that everybody (regardless of temperament) should have a strong network and a good interpersonal tool box. Introversion isn't synonymous with anxiousness or incompetence. If anyone has those qualities then…

Thanks for the in depth info, lifting heavy shit makes you feel like a king, no replacing that. I need to get more healthy fats in my diet, I'm pretty on top of my hydration. Need to get back into meditating, scheduling a specific time for it would probably help! The micro success idea seems like it could be fun as well. And fuck alcohol, I seriously cannot understand how people can drink heavily on the regular.

Very important, that's why all the really low fat diets never appeal to me. I mean, it'll dampen your endocrine system, and Test burns fat! The steroids that Bodybuilders use to cut weight (with the exception of Clenbuterol) are DHT derivatives, so it's not worth it imo.

I get you. I always think that you can have as much T in your body as you like, but how effectively you use it, and the rate that it aromatises into oestrogen is largely beyond your control. You can obviously control diet and dosage, but how your body reacts to different substances/training is out of our hands (for now).

I think I get this post, think is the operative word here. Back yonder, people could act as they wished without having to worry about what the masses thought. Sure, life looked way harsher then, but at least you could take things at face value. Fast forward to now, where even powerful forces have to consider what the masses think. For their part, the herd have nailed themselves to the moral high ground, so the guys up top have to pretend to be on the same wavelength. But they still have the same…

No disrespect to Arabian_Wolf, but when I saw all the products being plugged, I got suspicious. Then when I went on the training section, and I saw the blatantly juicing models they were using, I got very suspicious. Basic marketing; convince someone that they are missing something in life. Next, show them an idealised version of someone who has that something. Then show them the "solution" (your product). Finally, laugh as their money puts your kids through college.

I truly doubt I have low T, age and a lack of symptoms can attest to that. Then again, Test levels have been free-falling with each generation. But with the retarded parameters for what counts as low T (isn't 270ng/dL considered "healthy" now?) I probably wouldn't get any help even if I needed it. I was just asking to see if I could get an edge without turning to drug use. A bit more Testosterone in the blood can't hurt! Thanks btw, I should have put a disclaimer to fend off the Nofap mob.

I'd imagine it depends on who the guy is. If you're Bitch boy Billy Beta then you can give her the validation of your stares, but you'd better not approach. If you're Chad, with his infamous Thundercock, then she wants you to be all over her.

I compare my sex drive to having a pet lion. If I don't have any big game to feed it, then it has to settle for smaller snacks spaced throughout the week. It won't be as big and powerful as it could be, but it will be healthy at least. Now, I don't want my lion to become big and powerful off of snacks. Because the bigger it gets with snacks, the more snacks it needs, until it spends all its time snacking. Then it becomes fat and sad. IF I do have big game for it, then we're sorted. A healthy amo…

You didn't have to put a link. You could have said 'I know you are but what am I?' and it would have had roughly the same effect. So we should all follow the wisdom of metallicdrama, whose advice consists of; '(Have) good hygiene, plain clothes in good condition that fit well, and a natural sense of humor with some wit.' And of course, BEING YOURSELF is the most important thing of all! Whoa, slow down there pal. I'll need some time to process this paradigm shifting information. How can I confron…

The concepts are out there for all to find and grapple with, GLO's even outlined them himself if anyone bothered to check. Most guys here don't want to wrestle with meta-physics and ontology. They just want to fulfil an appetite. Which is a bit sad. I mean, look at the most popular post on this subreddit. That's what they look for; a logically ordered list as to how to get what they want. The psychology behind their interactions, the biological imperatives that drive their desires, and the natur…

Like it, like it alot. I've been thinking along the same lines; that Game acts as a multiplier. Although I tend to prefer a military analogy, with basic SMV being infantry and Game being artillery. Sure, you can win some battles with really strong infantry, but you'll be even more formidable with some strong support. In this analogy, I guess that TRP and the Manosphere would be the Secret Service.

Say 'No' and then force the conversation away from politics. If they resist then it's probs a test, so usual rules apply there. In my (limited) experience, the F word is usually used by groups of girls to try and castrate a guy with shit tests. Hold frame and lead the conversation, they'll fall in line, because in the end, they don't really want to talk about feminism either.

I hope this post isn't suggesting that the Mods and ECs know what they're doing and that 90% of everyone else is made up of spods who need to be culled every now and again. That's just crazy talk. (I consider myself firmly placed in that 90% btw... for now. cue shiteating grin)

It sounds like you're lamenting your loss of innocence, which is fine for a few weeks or a month but now's the time to start getting real. Yes, all of your life has been spent living in an illusory world of other people's delusions. And yes, it's bloody painful to have to face the utterly inhospitable and inhuman reality of your existence. You are alone in this world, and no one can change that. However, this can (and bloody well will) be turned into something magnificent. Do you know what it me…
