This is fundamentally my problem with calling teenagers children. Socially aware enough to take advantage of this claim and in the process levying the accusations of sexual abuse against innocent people when you’re called out, also minimizing the impact of actual childhood sexual abuse against people like me who were under the double digits by a significant margin. Every time someone calls pedophilia over someone who’s post pubescent it hurts us victims who had no conscious choice in the matter.
