I only have 1 credit card with 3k on it. And 2 others not in regular use. In florida it's pretty evenly split half and half. With the sale of our house both our newish cars will be paid off and can start over dobt free with about 20k left over each.

Same boat here but with kids. She always complains when my friend[1 friend] calls we hang out. Been 3 months since we've done it. Filing for divorce next month. I still love her and always will but the lack of emotional availability and connection physical or not isn't how I want to spend the rest of my life. Been married 15 years now.

That's because texas takes a cut from child support that is why they push so hard for it. Really scummy

If you lived in a shared house don't move out. She will be able to claim residency and might be used to show you abandoned the children.

I thought as much. I'd be fighting her, not the law. That would mean forcing a sale on the home because she would not be able to refi and pull out equity to pay me off. That's why I want to dangle the carot for her to go for.

Don't move out. Unless the place is rented and yall have no kids. If it's an owned home do not move out. She will claim the house as hers and you will not be able to return.

I would look into spousal alienation and abandonment. Could be something there. Her income should be calculated at what her income can be where it was prior to her leaving. Yes get a better lawyer if you can afford it. Or let it go to court mediation if with of you can't come to an agreement.

My lawyer told me to never leave the house after I file for divorce. I work from home gonna be real easy. I'm not moving out until a signed custody agreement is made. And ratified by the courts and she refused the house out if my name so I can buy another one.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
