I know plenty of people who did that and are now married. As annoying as it is for some, this is the realistic way to get some sort of advantage to be seen when the argorithm doesn't help you. Men akready have low chances on dating apps, if they had no choice in the matter, most men would never see a recomandation for years...or never. As for hooking up, I 100% support any trick to make you visible, who cares about compatibility?

Men are natural, biological protectors. But the trait of wanting to protect ISN'T UNCONDITIONAL. Yes, obviously a man who has nothing to protect is not willing to make any sacrifices, unless it comes with actual physical or legal obligation. Values can be true and still be conditional. This "selfless protector" bs is a fantasy, nobody in their right mind makes any sacrifices without a trade-off. I do agree that some men need to learn how to stand up for the people in their lives, but it's unfair…

They've been together since middle school. After I was born, she started cheating on my dad with a wealthy ex-drug dealer. The dude eventually left her, and my mom begged my dad to stay with her, but things got worse from there. My dad also naturally became more obsessed with making more money, with aking on stoic role models, treating all women like gold diggers. As for my own personal experiences, I have never met a woman irl willing to date below 5'10 - 6'.

Only me, but I am talking about expectations. He keeps insisting that no woman is even gonna look my way if I don't have enough money.

I live in the real world. What I saw online doesn't compare to how bad things really are. Every insecurity of mine comes from how my dad got treated by those around him, how my dad treats me, and how every woman I ever met or tried to date told me.

If I was I woman, I would want someone kind, sweet, romantic...high-libido...with a mix of traditional and modern roles. I care about common values, but hobbies may differ. I would may or may not work out, but I would preffer a chubby man. The more of a nerd he would be the better. And as a man, I am open to anything, but mostly to my female counterpart.

I don't think this is misandry; it's just stupidity. TikTok is for kids and middle-aged women, most of them are going to see things like the gym as actions with no sort of reward or "lesson" (especially if they have no idea about the benefits of working out)

Men do not understand that womem don't put so much energy on dating. Women do not understand that romantic relationships are existentially validating for men, and friendships do not give you the emotional and physical needs that aren't met. Now add the fact that you're an adult who's never had a relationship or hasn't dated and you get ten times more issues of self-worth and romantic identity. Women also don't like the idea of men befriending them for the purpose of dating. Now imagine someone b…

Plenty of fat women have romantic or sexual partners; body positivity or BBW in dating affects mostly women. Having a child is a gigantic responsibility; it doesn't take a genius to realize why not many men would want that, along with that child not being yours and feeling like you have to ease your way from "stranger" to "acceptable" into a family that isn't even yours. STILL, even single mothers have sexual partners. Women are literally the ones who invented "leagues" to keep nerds and ugly gu…

Jesus, lady, calm down... I am not saying that men need to lead, not even men like that much constant responsibility or expectation. But when it comes to big decisions, men are usually the ones to take the lead (and their partners expect that from them). What qualifies him? Gender norms and over 2000 years of men doing just that, and making relationships and familial structure work (more or less) until today. Also, I gave examples of what exactly submission means for most guys(which is not actua…

Men, in general, do not care about submission. It's more about women having a mindset of simplicity and gratitude, and having the ability of letting their partner to lead in complex situations. The only men who care about submission to a deeper extent are the very religious ones, or the ones who want stable gender-conforming duties because that is the norm in their lives. There are also people who have a lot to offer and a lot to lose (wealth, good genes) who get married and have kids simply for…

And choose to be the one to paycand buy gifts too. The more a guys sees that there is financial equity AND expenses on him from a woman, the more open and grateful he would be to spoil YOU more. It's not about calculation, it's about making a realistic choice in the "playing field" and not making it harder or impossible for everyone else. What if every single person you choose doesn't choose you back, because everybody wants what's "above" you?

You're right, I have never had a bad relationship...or any relationship at all. I am not talking about being with someone you find genuinely unattractive or annoying. I am talking about going for only what is the most popular, handsome, etc etc choice, dismissing people who are at your own level and may be good matches. As someone who's taking "actionable steps" for 16 years and led to nothing. Having to put that much effort just to be seen is depressing and damaging, while others don't. The pro…

All you're doing is being ignorant and making me repeat myself over and over again. If you need so much theory to understand that the way you're thinking is not only wrong, but completely insane for the fact that you only focus on what you can gain from it and not the damage it causes overall - then you simply lack common sense.

I said it before: It's shallow and awful to want to be genuinely loved, while also striving for the top of your choices, while also not caring about how your lack of realistic choice affect most people who would be a good match for you, but are below the "perfection" of what you and other people who think like you might go for. It may not actively work like that, but it's still a bad midset to have and should not be encouraged. If I had a girlfriend, I would not, in a hundred years, feel humilia…

On the other side, every guy below "gold" is going to have a harder time finding anyone. I reapeat, and I am sorry if you don't like hearing it, but you are not unique when it comes to your preferences. Most people, especially women(at least from my own environment) think the way you do. Why should you care? I don't know, probably because only a psycho would want real love and freedom, in a way that damages everyone else. To explain big picture and choice awareness: Men, in general, do not look at dating from a personal perspective, they look at it from a general male perspective. "Would this woman love men like me?", "What does she think about men who do that?". Most importantly, men judge their own preferences and choices. "This woman is hot but she's pretty selfish, this woma…

What you're describing is all kinds of backwards and I disagree completely with it. Firstly, you're thinking about it from a limiting and unfair access to preference standpoint, but not about how your thinking actually affects others. If people feel entitled or allowed to whatever they desire, then people will strive for what's the best/on top. THAT'S what makes everyone else obsess over their value and having an ego, because then, everyone else is at risk of not being a choice at all. No offens…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 11:45 AM

Then start a "short kings are sexy" campaign.😅
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 11:41 AM

I agree. The thing is, if one guy feels insecure about being a "short king" because women make comments on his height or can't get a single date, then the opinions of other men isn't gonna help with anything. What would really help is actually getting positive reactions from women or having dates that prove he's attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 11:20 AM

Men don't really care about how women portray themselves, but how humble and realistic you are to social situations. An overweight woman calling herself hot isn't something that would cause an issue or a "need to comment". However, it still is somewhat of an issue, considering that a man in that situation wouldn't get the same affirmation from others - that's where the negative feedback comes from. In my own experience and the experience of other guys I know, issues tied to body image or self-es…

You're missing the point of what I am saying. It's not about not putting effort, it's about putting a dangerous ammount of effort in order to be good enough for someone who has never had to go through this. Also, just because someone is hot enough to jack off to, that doesn't make them relationship material. All the things you said "hypothetically" are things that I would want in a partner. To be themselves, messy, and imperfectly beautiful.

Men are not inherently "assholes". 😅 Abundance makes anyone become greedy/selfish/uninterested, whether it's dating, money, or something else. Another important fact is the personality of the guy: a f-boy will obviously take advantage of his options; while decent guys with options do put more effort and interest, but if things go south they don't really have to worry about when or if they will meet someone else. I don't think any guy presents himself like that, and if he does, then why are you e…

Firstly, I never said I hate women as a general statement. Let me rephrase that: I would hate/be unable to feel love towards a woman that was attracted to the result of the things I felt like I had to go through, in other words, to the changes I represent, not the real me. There is a very big difference between being loved for who you are and being loved for the results of a job/hobby, like working out, while at the same time, that person wouldn't even look your way if you didn't didn't go throu…

I think the red pill ideology is more about "the woman being the prize". It's not about you being better, it's about them feeling worthless because they cannot measure with you FOR you. It's not jealousy born from feeling challenged, it's fear born from an attack to someone's worth. These conditions usually come from personal experiences. It's more sad than annoying, because you are told (and you see with your own eyes) that nobody wants a man that is socio-economically beneath them. So, a woman…

Common dating is very harsh to non socially-attractive people (I am not just talking about looks). However, there are plenty of spaces meant for women to find people who want them(bbw dating, interracial dating, dating based on disabilities, etc), but it doesn't work the same way when it comes to men. CHILDREN ARE A NON-NEGOCIABLE. Being a parent is a gigantic responsability that not everyone is ready for yet, especially when it comes to someone else's children. You cannot expect people to bear …

There is a gigantic difference between opening your way into a woman's heart (or panties) and competing with someone else. Sure, paying for dates, buying flowers, planning things, it's alright. But the moment you have to do more than someone else in order to win a woman over, it's a matter of self-respect and self-worth. Plus, the problem with dating isn't just competing, it's also not even being a "candidate" at all if nobody actually wants to date you. No ammount of willingness is gonna do any…

Novelty and sexual variety is caused by boredom - in some men(either with their sex life or other non-related issues); or too much sexual novelty and variety BEFORE settling down - in women. The attraction to younger women is probably some fetish tied to virility, inexperience, sexual freedom, and their youth - that some old guys have. Also, what kind of men you talk to that only prefer 18-22 women? Most guys want a girl the same age, or 3-5 years up or below. I personally like 19 to 35 or more.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 01:18 PM

I kinda get what you're saying, but this is not what most virgin men need. Unless your goal is purely the physical act of losing your virginity, de-stressing, or kink exploration, the reason why virginity is shameful in the first place it's because it feels like a sign of being unlovable/undesirable. Despite all the headaches, heartbreak, and hoops, when you do score with a girl, even casually, it's validating to your sexual (and maybe general) identity as a man. The girl wants you because she e…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/26 11:59 PM

Because you're not making clear sense. You started talking about the "how can a guy know if a girl likes him" common question in regard to guys not enjoying a woman's company (??) then start spouting something about sex work and friendships that, again, make no sense. Then you start talking about a sub that I never heard of and bring up sex in married relationships and their sexual issues. You jump from one subject to another, nobody has any idea what your issue is.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 10:19 PM

Ok, I don't really get it. Wanting sex in your relationship/marriage is bad?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 08:23 PM

And...why not both? Also, realistically, being married to one person can get very boring no matter how in love you think you are. It's a process of love, boring habit, spark of love, habit again, etc. People do need validation of love, and for many people it's sex (+romantic gestures).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 08:15 PM

Ok...and how does real love look like to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 07:55 PM

People can have a good time with other people no matter their inner feelings. Which is why having someone you get along with doesn't really show whether that's purely platonic or not. Relationships, especially marriages, come with a lot of sacrifices and mistakes. So yes, if someone offers you the thing that matters to you the most in order to feel loved, obviously you're gonna be more acceptable or blind to some issues. For men, it's most often sex. For women, it's most often money, their partn…

I understand your frustration, buuuuut... You keep throwing "patriarchy" around even if your problem has nothing to do with that. Being bad in bed, as a man, can kill desire. Also, you kinda already gave yourself an answer as to why some men care about sexual imorovement, because that's all they have when love and desire doesn't come naturally. Yes, sex should not be a round of mental gymnastics and it may even be clumsy. But it doesn't come without its own issues and shortcomings. Realistically, I don't think there is an actual way to escape these feelings. As your first relationship(especially it being in your adulthood), it comes with a lot of fear and confusion, especially knowing that other guys may have been you are right now, and have "failed". That can make you feel so me anticipatory resentment in case you get hurt. It's both terrifying and astonishing how many women cannot grasp the fact that men can go through decades of their lives, if not most of it, not being chosen by anybody of any kind. I have seen your comment about you being a virgin until you met your first husband and you stayed even though he was a bad match. It's not that women are not attracted to men, it's that they are attracted to the wrong types of men for the wrong reasons. The difference in attraction is not because of the way each gender perceives attraction. It's because women act simply on their desires without any self-assessment. Men actively judge their own preferences, how that can affect their general chances with women or a single woman, and also if giving up certain preferences are going to make them happier long-term with a woman t…

Women don't self-reflect on their wants and preferences and how they are perceived. No woman(maybe very few) actually think about how to make it easy for others to approach them. That is a big problem, but that's not the point right now. The thing is: she is a door, you are a key. If the key fits, then it fits; if it doesn't, then they move on. That is also how you should be approaching women. Approach in the way that feels more familiar and comfortable to you, and do it confidently. If you wann…

HOWEVER...I am bored: Firstly, as a non-American, I can tell you confidently that this is a Male Loneliness Pandemic. Since the effect is global, across multiple cultures and social norms, the problem is WAY bigger than people can fathom. Men's struggles have ALWAYS been internalized. I will proceed to disagree with you and also disagree with people who blame it on the economy or technology. This is my take as a non-American on the Male Loneliness Pandemic: Firstly, there is no "one source" of loneliness, some lack friends, some lack a partner, some lack both. Which brings me to my second point; loneliness in most men has nothing to do with inherently lacking social networks, it has to do with lacking what you want. True, they are both tied to biology, but you cannot expect the same treatment if what you do is inherently harder/almost impossible to navigate than the other, from a third-person perspective. The main goal is dating, so both situations affect both parties at the same time. Men being difficult for women makes dating difficult for everybody. So women making dating almost impossible...does it for everybody. Another important point that I forgot to mention is that - women base their desire fully on…

Whether you find desperstion unattractive or not, that's not going to change anything. People who starve will always beg for food, morally wrong or not. The other two, I completely agree, but I am not talking about dating from the perspective of someone who acts like that. I am talking about the average guy who struggles with dating and barely has any dates. And also about how OP's advice is "if you don't want women to do so or think so, look for someone who fits you", which is not realistic.

I used to agree with women that trying to be friends first, only to date someone is unfair, since you make her deal with something she didn't sign up for. But if you really think about it, it's a bit childish to believe so. Women may find it annoying or feel betrayed when a guy has feelings for her when she doesn't. But if the roles are reversed, a woman will rarely confess that, and just crush on the guy until HE makes a move. Like...how the hell do you expect guys to be genuine friends with yo…

I disagree with this Whoooole thing to unsurmountable lengths. Hi, I am also a man with plenty of women in my close circles that I care about and would do anything to protect. However, society favors women, no matter what anyone has to say. I have seen it destroy many men, including my dad, and have seen dating drain and kill my best friend. Firstly, women having high standards has always been this way, because they used to be "the prize" while the men were taught to chase and impress. That, how…

I hate how both men and women seem to not realize that being so stupidly stubborn and thinking like this has nothing to do with agency, self-respect, etc. Yes, your unrealistic preferences do undervalue the people around you. Men are not different from each other, neither are women. A loud and relatable feeling or statement can become a pattern, which can become the unspoken norm. Same is for men. If you encourage a shallow behaviour for the sake of agecy, you are creating a toxic stereotype. Wh…

Yep. I also know and have seen all types of girls have boyfriends and hookups, even junkies. But part of that issue is still the men's fault. We are the ones who go after any available girl no matter her circumstance and give them plenty of romantic(and especially sexual) possibilities, without them feeling like they have to reciprocate. On the other hand, the general advice average women give is unhelpful and unfair in comparison. Buut...considering the types of women you described, they are pr…

That's a veeery big stretch. 😅 Being abused or assaulted as a woman isn't a common thing where I am from. I only know two women who have been through that, and one of them is my mom. However, if you're reffering to the paying for sex part, I am pretty confident in what I am saying. I have a varied group of friends and peers, from marrird guys to incels. I watch or participate in debates themed on different sensitive subjects, like "Should assisted suicide be legalized and supported?", "Pro-choic…

I don't doubt that you feel that way, or that even the men who engage with you feel that way. As a guy, I have my own experiences and knowledge and the experiences of those that I know, while you have yours. Let's just say that paying is fulfilling to some more than the rest.

I am not talking about fetishes or people who have nothing else to offer BUT money. I have never met a guy who would happily pay for sex, unless he is a virgin who is genuinely curious about the act of it, or an old guy who is dealing with a sexless marriage. Men want to be loved and desired, if they can't have both, at least to be desired. If a guy feels desired BECAUSE he is paying for sex to a random escort or so...that's a fetish. Also...no offense.

True...but there is also a difference between relationship sex, hookup/fwb sex, and paid sex. In relationships you have intimacy and desire, in hookups you at least feel desired, paid sex means nothing. No matter how detached some men talk about sex, it's still important for them to feel at least desired.

Sexlessness or not, it's still an issue. As a guy, I don't care about brirthrates, true, but I do care about wanting to be a good parent if I ever get the chance. I think that there are many dads who contribute very little or leave, but there are even more who care. It's just that men rarely care or want to have children unless it's an important thing for their partner. That's where those who can handle it and those who can't are spread apart.

Judge, all I have are my words. I no longer talk to those people nor do I work with them(and they probably deleted those accounts).

Umm...hi This is an experiment that I tried with some co-workers(2 guys, 1 woman) a few years ago, and did some of what you also suggested: vulnerable, loves writing, 5' 7, working in a translations office. No fish or car pics, only at the beach, parks, or from some vacation spots + 1 group photo. We coppied the same thing across Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge. We gave up keeping watch and swiping on all the accounts after a year of 0 matches and a couple of messages that led nowhere. Plus, I have my…

From what I've seen, the problem starts with: People don't know what "standards" are. Standards are personality traits(like respect, loyalty, patience) or life goals(to be religious, family-oriented, fitness or sports oriented). Preferences(dark-haired, tall, etc.) are the real issue, because often times women ask for things that are very improbable to have or should not feel entitled to. It's completely fine and healthy to have standards(traits, goals), but preferences are very shallow, no matt…

It's not drugs. I made an allusion to weed, but we were smoking hookah, which is a very common activity for young people in Eastern Europe. It's like vaping.

YES! 💯💯 I have a diverse group of friends, some lonely and miserable, some lonely but happy, and a couple into relationships. We kinda avoid the subject of relationships because things tend to get heated between those who drown and those who are dying of thirst. However, we kinda sat down one evening(while high🍀) to figure things out and why everybody feels so different. None of us are alpha chads and none of us are basement goblins, so what's wrong? Besides different expectations, lucky encount…

I am sure that you have your own experiences and point of view, but I, for example, share none of them. When it comes to your quote, speaking strictly from a romance perspective, it doesn't really make sense. I have never met a guy who eas proudly considering himself impersonable, selfish, etc. unless it was strictly to attract someone that's into thst behaviour, or dismiss the need for a woman in his life(the same way women do too). If you’re trying to associate the love and effort put into a c…

I actually just made a post somewhere based on this subject...kinda - https://np.reddit.com/r/Healthygamergg/s/SgwID9NHTR A bit more context besides this. I am 24, in college, with a flexible job. I completely disagree with this, we shouldn't make things harder for ourselves just to work more, this should never be the goal as long as you make enough to keep a roof over your head. And if not, our first action should be to demand better conditions before drowning in work.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 07:09 AM

Ok...so much to unpack, but here we go before my train of thought leaves me: Men need less to live day by day. As in, they only need a place to sleep and some entertainment, which is why they don't put too much effort unless there is a goal or a reward. In this case, the reward would be love and intimacy. Despite sex and relationships being something meaningful for both genders; for men it's a sign of social normalcy or status, emotional and psychological maturity, and personal measurement of ca…

I don't know how much I agree with the whole message, but yes, men shouldn't take all their dating advice from women. Moreover, you should NEVER take a woman's advice(or if you do and it doesn't work, don't feel bad) on how to deal with being single/loneliness. Women have more emotional self-sufficiency, different expectations, and different experiences that you will not be sble to relate to or integrate as a man. Also, yes, when it comes to dating, women give "inconclusive" advice because all t…

I had this debate lots of times with friends - men and women - and we all agreed that is true. For men, cheating is more traumatic rather than just broken trust. And yes, as a man you lose a whole lot more emotionally, psychologically and socially, which is why cheating causes more suicide attempts in men(my dad was one of them). At the end of the day, cheating affects everyone differently, but men have far more to lose. Probably because for the average guy, every breakup might mean the possibil…

Firstly, nothing "good" in life is free. Even good people are good for a reason, whether it's to be rewarded physically or by karma/God. Also, there are two reasons why good people hate assholes: 1.They try their best to do the right thing in order to get something, yet don't get it while the assholes get it easily. If you do get what you want, you have to do it through lots of services, dedication and sacrifices, whike sone asshole can get the same/more than what you're getting with little to n…
