Bench speed is in no way indicative of punching power. Punching power is generated from the rotational force of the hips. Same thing with kicks, the only kicks that may improve from heavy speed squats is a teep or spinning back kick. Leg kicks, body kicks, and head kicks will not be improved by squatting. Strong abs and hips will do more for kicking power than a squat ever will and even then they come second to regular pad and bag work and just being heavy.

That's not true, especially in unorganized street crews no one is permanently established.
