Peace in the house for the kids sake was the right short term decision. Sleep well and get back to them tomorrow.

Of course my daughter sees it’s a mess. But she also sees I am there for her everyday, through a storm. Not walking out on her last year at home.

Right there with you. I’m in the waiting stage. It we both know it’s over. Waiting for my child to get a little closer to college. ~1 more year.

I’m about two years behind you. 55 yrs old. Youngest child is junior in high school. I’m waiting it out till she graduates. But there is nothing left between my wife and I. We do nothing together.

Same situation. House is worth 400k and we owe 200k. I am solely on mortgage. Would be easiest if I keep it but I would owe her 100k (since we have 200k in value 400k-200k)

So sorry for you. Is this cleaning fetish related to covid fears?

Another thing driving it is once you are 20 years in (for the lower income person), there is no downside. Split the assets and get alimony for a long time. They are set. Don’t give a shit anymore.

I’m sorry man. Women that will spend and spend and never save and call you cheap while not earning much money are the worst.

It is a long story but the 25 yr old is a “friend of a friend”. My 17 daughter has nothing to do with him. My wife is obsessed with him. Either as “lost son” or “partner” or “best friend “.

So sorry. Sounds like the situation I am headed into. Really worried my only child 17F will be completely brainwashed and I lose connection.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
