I mean, the opposite. I choose to not have children because humans are making too many offspring to be sustainable. But it's also absurd to think that we aren't also just another animal; just because we have higher intelligence doesn't make us not just another animal. We're just smart monkeys, dude. Creating a third category for ourselves is just arrogance. We ARE just as lowly as any other animal, don't kid yourself.

I mean, I also don't want kids myself, but it's literally our biological imperative to continue our own genes. When people ask what the meaning of life is, it's that: to reproduce and pass our genes down. That's it. That shit is imbedded in our DNA. I'm with you in not wanting to make any new children, but it's easy to understand why others want to pass their genes down: it's literally the only reason we exist.

That's completely incorrect. One or two states say that, during a home invasion, you must retreat to the furthest room before employing self defense, but that only applies at home, and in very few states.

Any sort of heart defect is an abnormality, as well. This is where circumcisions should be differentiated, IMO. Nothing wrong = no reason for surgery.

A public apology and forcing someone to continually post someone else's words aren't exactly the same. But you're right; it's a grey area legally because of the newness of the internet. Even the article post above has a quote from the lawyer saying it raises some "First Amendment issues".

She seems a bit confused about the issue. He was already convicted of his crime; no one is denying that. But he can say whatever the hell he wants on Facebook. She's mad about him violating the court order, but it's the court order itself that was illegal.

Evidence isn't needed in this case. If the father saw this in FB, that's enough intent for him to call CPS and get it investigated. Also, I'm not advocating us going after her. If I was the father, I definitely would, though.

She wouldn't be convicted of any crime, because she has broken none. Most likely (and hopefully), CPS would get involved to ensure she is taking proper care of the child. If she is, case closed. If the child is going without so that mommy can buy expensive clothes and shoes on daddy's dime, however...
