| 1 | The Reality Cracker's guide to bulliesMuay Boran doesn't exist anymore because Muay Thai was more useful. And btw I was a competitive taekwondo fighter for 4 years who competed in multiple US opens. Now I'm an amateur Muay Thai fighter and training in both I can objectively say that Muay Thai is far superior. How about you pick up Muay Thai, instead of bashing me for my opinion and decide what you think is best? | /r/TheRedPill | 27/11/16 06:35 PM |
| 1 | The Reality Cracker's guide to bulliesI'm aware, but the difference is that all TMAs have been softened for a western appeal, whereas Muay Thai hasn't. Take for example taekwondo; it's descended from taekkyon and was an effective military martial art that has turned into a greedy corporate industry. The same can be said for karate. The difference between these and Muay Thai is that Muay Thai hasn't been commercialized by the west and probably won't be because of how entertaining it is to see the sheer brutality and skill between fig… | /r/TheRedPill | 27/11/16 06:24 PM |
| -2 | The Reality Cracker's guide to bulliesModern fighting styles actually comepletly rely on precicison and indifference to emotion, as anger slows reflexes and impares judgement. You'll find that all modern fighting is more so disassociated from emotion because of how competitve it is. The only limits in fighting are actually the ones that traditional martial arts arbitrarily have, that keep the experience from being authentic. So really traditional martial arts are the actual ones that hold people down. | /r/TheRedPill | 27/11/16 05:52 PM |
| -1 | The Reality Cracker's guide to bulliesTry Muay Thai, I garuntee in 6 months you'll feel more confident with that toolset, than you ever will with karate. | /r/TheRedPill | 27/11/16 04:04 PM |
| 0 | The Reality Cracker's guide to bulliesTraditional martial arts give nothing but a false sense of security. They don't make you safe on the street, and will do nothing in an actual fight apart from hindering you. Pick up something actually useful like Muay Thai if you want actual confidence in a fight. | /r/TheRedPill | 27/11/16 03:14 PM |
| -3 | What 6 Months Of Lifting Will DoNot to bring you down or anything, but as an amateur boxer I can tell you that lifting weights is only good for asthetics and will not make you a better boxer at all. My advice, start boxing 2 hours a day 6 days a week and stop lifting. It will make you look way better and incredibly confident knowing that you can drop any guy who even gives you an off look. Lifting IMO is a waste of time better just to get better at fighting and you'll have a much stronger internal frame. | /r/TheRedPill | 26/06/16 10:35 PM |
