ProfessionalAssh0le summed it up pretty well. just be yourself and don't care about what people think of you. If you can truly do this, you will become comfortable and natural, you will do things because you want to do them, not with somebody else in mind. When you achieve this your personality is on full display, your sense of humor included.

Yes, well put together post. I find that whenever I try and emulate somebody I lose confidence in myself and get caught in my head thinking of what to do. The only way is to be yourself, if you keep trying to be perfect you become so insecure that your personality is hidden and you are just bland.

go in guns blazing. Be loud and confident right away, introduce yourself to the very first people you see then move on and work the room. Be happy to see people. Eventually you will have gone from "hey you stranger" to "hey rotoreuter48!" It's important to start the very moment you walk in, sets the tone for the rest of the party I find. If you work the whole room and continue to move around it displays a good level of confidence, additionally don't forget to use body language and contact to ass…

who says you have to go to the top? your problem is that you are at the bottom of the food chain, girls want to be seen with somebody with a higher social status.

status is everything, you can't fake it in high school you have to earn it. When you get a higher social status more girls will show interest.

this is caused by your insecurities, only time and more exposure will help you get rid of them

all I have to say is that race is probably not a factor, just an excuse. I'm not a PUA by any means, but I know that to have any form of success you must first be comfortable with yourself, if you aren't you lack confidence and get AA.

you know when you're alone in your room and you bust out your moves? Just do that, but tone it down a little bit.
