Its because those guys are probably doing things they are passionate about, and don't give a shit about women who want them or don't want them. Which in turn makes women attracted to them. San Fran can be a difficult place for finding likeminded people. Have you tried Bumble or Hinge? I’ve found luck in there meeting new people, and dating. Also the gym works wonders. You’ll get mired by people who see you working out and I’m sure you can find some fun people around the gym too.
