Nope. Do not leave. She's manipulating you to gain the upper hand.

I only have her admission in text. That's all the evidence I have. I can't confirm exactly who the guy is but I'm able to deduce it to a couple of people.

Very good points. Thank you. I'm joining a gym this weekend. I will also sober up.

I want to find real love again. I haven't felt loved in years.

I don't know to be honest. I'm all over the place with my emotions. Last night she sort of pretended that everything was fine which threw me off. And I woke up today feeling disdain for her. Our normal morning routine when I leave for work is an "I love you, have a good day" along with a hug. Today, I grabbed my stuff and just left. I expected more remorse and it's not happening. My pain is slowly turning into disgust. I found a lawyer that came highly recommended. I'm contemplating reaching out…

What about drinking socially? Is it best to just be sober for a while?

I have been trying today. I'm somehow the one in the wrong and she's now distancing herself from me. She won't clarify what she even wants. I will give it a couple of more days to see if she will communicate. If not, my choice will be made.

I am more hurt than angry. I'm still grasping at a chance to mend but I know I look like a dumbass for thinking that.

I might take you up on that. Shit sucks.

Holy shit. I only have one piece of evidence unfortunately and her admission via text. I don't know who he is and she is not telling me. I could probably find out if I look hard enough.

She definitely still found a way to try to blame me for it. What hurts the most is that I have been trying to initiate sex with her for the last couple of weeks and she said, she needs some space for now. All while she's giving another man affection. I appreciate your advice. It's good and I will read it multiple times.

Over the summer my wife and I were essentially separated. I had a woman from my past ask to date while going through the process of filing for divorce. When it came time to file, I couldn't do it and asked my wife if we could try again. I feel horrible because I hurt my friend. Take that for what you will.

Wow... This is spot on in my situation.

Why do you think that is? It's like the word compromise is replaced with controlling in my wife's eyes. She simply will not budge on anything. It leaves me feeling like she's against our family rather than in it.

This will sound horrible but it made me feel better while I'm considering divorce. I slept with her for twenty years from 24-45. I had all her "good years." Whoever she's with next will never have that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
