this is a copy paste of an older comment of mine I’ve gotten out of hard friend zones enough times now to have some knowledge. There’s no need to tell them how you feel, they already know and is why they friendzone. They are basically saying: I know you are interested in me, but I do not want to go with you (as you are NOW). She invites you over because she knows you’ll come over next time, don’t. She has picked up on your obsession and is taking advantage of it (so fuck them and don’t go). This…

This is true, issue is we will sometimes never know. Better to keep a lot of options and just ignore trying to figure this shit out. Some people are just EXTREMELY flakey in general. Sure they will commit to things but sometimes they just can’t commit as much to anything in life.

Can you elaborate on what you are asking? Edit: are you asking how to get out the friendzone?

It’s a soft no. Best is to wait until she asks go hang out directly.

I always go with “so that’s a yes?” Not too cocky, still gives them the option to decide, not needy. Works all the time 60% of the time.

You interpret by taking emotions out. Ok so they reply to your social media shit (this at least means some low interest). Then ramp up to texting which is a tiny bit more personal, but they flake every time (not dedicated) hence that is as interested as they are. They are clearly not that interested, sorry :/ Only thing you can do is this: stop texting all of them and see which one reaches out to YOU first. This shows some medium level of interest. But if you want to keep that interest going you…

Ehh I’m not sure here. I’ve managed to get with a couple girls that I was both friendzoned by and “fell for”. It’s a lot of work for sure but it’s doable and I enjoy the amount of work the chase takes. Call me super selective or crazy.

Thanks for the advice. I have a decent amount of friends in two cities but I just moved into a very different one. So it’s a bit of a change. Also I’m not sure about the bit about using friends. I’d rather they know me enough to usually help me out without much force. (Which is how most of my core group works).

Your right, I still do it with a tinge of nervousness with attractive women I have no intention with getting at. Cheers

This is an interesting concept. I’ve gotten out of actual friendzones enough times to know that most girls only keep guys they still have some attraction to around as “friends”. Interesting!

Read my long reply up there. Friendzone is more them wanting to keep you around for comfort and security. Real friends don’t bother directly telling you that you are bestie. Real friends are there for you and help you, not ask for rides and shit.

This is true I’m pretty flirtatious with everyone. I should stop... lol

Let me rephrase it correctly. Being friends and being friendzoned are two very very different things. With all my real female friends we don’t even talk about us being friends, we just chill and help each other - we are homies. Being friendzoned is the direct act of them believing you want them but wanting you around for comfort. So they throw down a very roundabout phrase “I’m so glad we are besties!”. Yet they mainly hit you up when they are bored, hungry, lonely, whatever. Yet they aren’t the…

This is a good point, thinking about it, it’s insecurity because of: me wondering what I’m doing to allow them to think I can be taken advantage of. So knowing that it’s their shit it doesn’t matter tbh. Thx

Thx, I’ll just find other peeps. Don’t feel like bothering with talking about this to them.

I’m complaining about some of them assuming I wanted more. Feels narcissistic. Or should I not give a fuck

This is a clear indication she wants to keep your around as a friend but has ZEROOO intention of anything more.

I agree but there’s better advice for people with anxiety approaching and or will be traumatized by the turn downs. Start casually talking to any gender that is working. So extremely normal conversations with cashiers/waitresses etc. Move up to light teasing with females you have established connections with Start teasing with strangers that you meet Start flirting with strangers you meet (with no intention of anything beyond that). Start approaching random females you find attractive to just ta…

Either she doesn’t have one or doesn’t want to share it with you. Don’t try to figure this out buddy it isn’t healthy. You are setting a theme of trying to peer into her life when she clearly put some boundary up OR you are trying to sneakily figure out if she lies. Either way you lose. You are lusting after her and not trying to get to know her for her. So fuck the Snapchat, fuck trying to look at her shit and if you want just try to get to know her for her. Ask about her hobbies ask how the cr…

They can sense your lack of confidence (aka drunk and you not being fully okay with your condition). They find you creepy because you are drunk and aren’t aware your actions are influenced by the condition so you just come off like a drunk weirdo. What I would do is start approaching sober and just right off the bat telling them about your condition. They will love the fact you are approaching in your situation and you also will feel more at ease immediately. If they turn you down then know they…

Couple things to think about, would the potential fallout of the group dynamics matter more to you? Is she worth it? Are you potentially ready to lose her as a friend? If so then move forward, nothing weird about that. Don’t come on too strong as there is history and can seem like it’s coming out of nowhere (unless you two aren’t really even friends anymore). Ps. Your title sucks

You want to feel out the vibe of the entire group, you want to make the entire group laugh and feel comfortable, don’t try to see them as individuals right off the bat. I wouldn’t put as much emphasis on flirting at the beginning (since you are building rapport with an entire group and not one person). Essentially you are doing the same rapport building with one person as with the group, you just need to find the groups unified wavelength and then work off that. Make the entire group laugh, inte…

Yup, she’s in sober living and my house manager got tired of chicks being over. Glad you logged on then!

Big issue is we both have a shit ton of housemates (literally zero privacy, both of us have multiple roommates, our rooms are literally never empty, lazy ass roommates). We aren’t living in our original hometowns so are kind of both crashing at people’s places. Once again, thanks for the input, helps put things into perspective.

I guess it was what she was saying through the door. But tbh your right, doesn’t matter really. Thanks for the input.

I can totally understand where you are coming from. I study architecture so I know how caught up we can get in our minds, I couldn’t socialize for shit until I was in college. I’m still learning. First know that teasing and flirting are not the same but the ONLY difference is that flirting is just teasing with sexual energy. There is NO need to try to warp teasing into flirting by trying to talk about sex or whatever; I know because I’ve failed trying. Once you tease with someone where there is …

This is what you obsess on? Trying to figure out if I’m contradicting myself or a troll won’t help ur cause. But, in other words: see it as her wanting to potentially fuck you, instead of obsessing over fucking her. In short, tune into the fact that BOTH of you want this to happen - that’s where sexual tension comes from. When you are too focused on just wanting to fuck her and forget to see that she wants the same, they pick up on this naturally and it can’t happen.

Confidence goes a long long way. But some actual advice: You’ll always do better when you speak through feeling, not thinking. Example would be that if you are trying to be funny, don’t try to, don’t want to be funny, just get into that state of mind where you do find the world a joke, then speak through that frame of mind. Don’t want the girl, you shouldn’t even want to sleep with her to fuck, you want to provide her what she wants - to fuck. So get into the frame of mind where you know she’s h…

I’ve been in therapy for 5 years? But recently stopped. I’ll make sure to find one again so thx for the reminder! I go to small meditation sessions and practice in the morning, but an actual class sounds really beneficial...

Omg bahaha, how have I never thought of this. I always knew that “anxiety” was a great part of attraction, but I never thought of it as literally what it felt like. Thx!

Thank you for the great write up, I meditate daily and am usually able to observe them, give them less power, etc. I agree they are just feelings that we don’t need to attach to, but, why not just try something different for fun?

Is it possible you have some anxiety condition? Or depression? Therapy? Possible things to think about.
