Alright, let's just pretend that this study is realiable and not bullshit cause I'm too lazy to check whether it actually is right now. I'd like to see the numbers on men using a combination of indirect and direct aggression, though. Or men using emotionally cruel ways of inflicting physical violence. When someone is beating you while being emotionally cruel, I think you can pretty much guess which one will be the one you focus on. So imo it's fairly likely that male indirect agression simply is…

Is this a serious reply or is it supposed to be a joke lol

How often does that kind of shit really go beyond a threat? It's not violence unless she actually gets them to do it. And even then, the man is sentient, he is likely an adult, he can very much take responsibility and NOT beat up someone cause his gf told him to. Men aren't mindless puppets catering to the every whim of some woman.

Bruising your ego is NOT comparable to murder or being beat up. Also I constantly see men claiming women are covertly emotionally violent while men are only ever physically violent and emotionally they are pure and sincere. This is not the case at all. There's actually quite a lot of men who are emotionally abusive in addition to being physically abusive. Outside and inside of a relationship. Please back up the claim that women are inherently more emotionally violent.

You are not exempt from the burdens of context and intent. Whenever you say something, even if you're talking about "material, tangible privileges" (as feminists often do), there is a REASON you're talking about it, a reason for the place you're talking about it and a reason for the way you talk about it. OP is making a pretty good point. You are not some masculinity robot that simply can't help sharing the scientific and social facts you have discovered and that has no personal or emotional rea…

So why is the entirety of this responsibility on the woman? If a man doesn't want a "spawn" he can either keep his dick in his pants or use contraception himself. As if you don't have any choices to stop a child from being born. Pathetic.

Wtf are you even talking about.. You literally think women don't see unattractive men as human beings? How can you want to date a group you consider to be such unfeeling, horrible, superficial and heartless people?

Your whole argument was "in my experience it's different!!!", which is also a cop out. This is an unproductive discussion, I don't like wasting my time. Do you?

Lol really? Huffpost and India Times? Also, none of these articles (they aren't even studies) show how the decline in happiness is related to feminism. Causation and correlation? My point about women feeling more inclined to state their real feelings still stands, and even if you dismiss all of that, it's still preferable to choose to do what you want and possibly feel sad than to have choices made for you your entire life and feel powerless. If you want, you can still choose to be a housewife t…

Where are you getting that from, that we're more depressed than ever before? Because we are allowed to talk about how we feel and what we want now and thus it isn't kept from you when we do happen to dislike a circumstance?

Not wanting to date a fat or promiscuous woman doesn't make you a misogynist. Writing a whole essay on how horrible and unreasonable women are does.

Gold diggers get judged a zillion times more than men who prefer a partner with a low n count.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/20 06:20 AM

It's kinda dumb to justify preferences with scientific data. Who you're attracted to and want to date is an instinctual and emotional thing, who the fuck chooses their partner based on scientific data telling them what is the most likely relationship to go well?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/20 06:18 AM
3

Nope, not even "non-sluts" like guys who fetishize them for that. There are a few insecure women who will try to get brownie points by pretending to like you reducing her to her n count, but generally the choice to not slut around goes hand in hand with higher standards for your partner, which often include them having some emotional depth and them not deciding your worth based on one single factor.

If she wants to stay in shape for you out of her own motivation why do you have to check her weight? Sounds like you don't really trust her desire to please you.

There's actually plenty of women who act the same way she does in a stable relationship with someone they love. You just don't know them, and thus think few of them exist, because you likely don't have the same thing to offer to those women.

I would assume both men and women think the other genders ego is astronomical. In most cases I'd say it's a wrong assumption and the only thing you're really doing by acting according to that belief is showing your own insecurity. Of course some women find it attractive when a man is desired by many girls, but the women who are going to drop you for that aren't the same ones who are gonna get their ego hurt by it. So there's not really a point. Also kind of pathetic to be staging this shit lol. …

that's the worst advice to give someone who is grieving. men don't always need to be stoic and unfeeling. you have a right to express your emotions, and it can be freeing to do so and enable you to be a better man moving forward.

Not really, the question was why women don't seem to be as angry about polygyny as men are about hypergamy, and their answer was "because there is a lot of other shit we get angry about and polygamy is too far down the list for us to care". Don't see how this is unrelated

I mean.. I don't think most people have sex because it's "special" or a rare thing. We're all aware it's quite common, people just enjoy it so they do it. Sex being ordinary lies in it's nature since its necessary for procreation, wouldn't make any sense for that to be an uncommon and rare thing cause the human race would die off pretty quickly. Edit: The things you listed aren't that uncommon either for middle class and above westerners either but I digress

That's not what I meant, finding men that can make a girl act a bit desperate isn't that hard. I just haven't met any girls that talked and acted like this girl does in general. The guy seems reasonable and normal, but something about the way the girl types is just super alien to me.

It never ceases to amaze me that you guys are able to provide examples for behavior like this. I've legit never met a single female irl who acts like this. Where the fuck do you keep digging them up from?

I didn't say they were starving for attention, just that it's the less hot girls that get hit on all the time, while the extremely hot girls are in my experience approached less. Supposedly because less people have the balls to go up to them. What you said about college only applies to wherever you live, I have had experiences that differ from yours. Let's just agree that you can't make a 100% correct statement on this topic until theres enough valid and object data on it. Right now we're just g…

Dude, you clearly aren't open to anyone's interpretation of the relationship between men and women besides your own. These are just my experiences, anecdotal evidence, so I'm not saying everything I'm claiming is gospel. But it seems odd to me that you'd rather assume I've never met a hot girl (top kek) instead of maybe accepting the fact that you could be wrong about something. What are you even rambling on about with the Oscars? Edit: I never said most guys didn't give attention to attractive …

Where do you even get the things you're claiming from? Males don't just give attention to every moderately attractive girl or even very attractive girl randomly, what the fuck kind of desperate guys do you hang out with? Maybe it's an American thing? While girls certainly do have an advantage when it comes to their potential dating pool, why the fuck would that make them not want attention? Of course too much of it is annoying, but that's not what we're talking about here. Besides, hot girls oft…

I am a girl, and I know many girls who I regularly talk to about these kinds of things. With some of them I've even talked about TRP, and in my experience people in general (not just girls) enjoy positive attention from anyone. Of course if someone crosses a boundary it stops being enjoyable, but why would hot girls post on gonewild for example? A lot of the attention they are going to get on there is going to be from average or below average men (though of course what someone is attracted to is…

Do you legitimately believe attention from men that are not in the categories you mentioned is "disgusting" to women? Where did you get that idea from? I don't know how to elaborate on the fact that what you said is simply not the truth except give examples, because it seems quite obvious to me that what you said is a vast exaggeration.

Sorry, but this statement is just plain wrong.

My motive for coming here is just an interest in the point of view that TRP has, as I don't often come in contact with that type of thinking in real life and I think it's a good thing to be at least a bit familiar with it and look at it with an open mind. Edit: I agree with you that a woman would have to be pretty moronic to fall for certain parts of TRP, but I'm not here to judge so yeah I'm just trying to not get into that.

"It's just a fact." is not valid proof, nor is the anecdotal evidence you might have collected by watching your female friends. But you're obviously allowed to have an opinion, so, you do you. Just kind of seems to me like you've had such bad experiences that you're projecting your negative feelings onto an entire group of people. I don't know you though, so I can only guess obviously.

I'm new to this sub, so I hope it's okay to ask a question: What do you base these assumptions off? You make a post stating "Women believe X, women do X because of Y", but even if you had analyzed a large enough group of women to make statistically accurate statements about their behavior, how do you come to the conclusion that you know their exact reasons for whatever they do? Have there been any studies on this? I might not be aware of them if there are, but I still think it's a bit far fetche…
