(I am in no way trying to imply that someone with PTSD will be a mass shooter). But this is the problem, isn't it? How do we know someone will become a mass shooter? Do you know how rare that is? Only 3 have happened this year. 3. Not 18, that some news outlets are reporting. A. I believe the vast majority of ISIS members have been brain washed since they were very young to be extremists, But that doesn't answer the question. They do mass shooting. Surely you and I can agree they are different t…

It sounds like off the bat you aren't interested in them explaining to you as you've already made your decision that they are wrong and you are right. Worse -- you feel you know the answer and not simply suspect it. That's scary to me because we can't actually know much right now outside of actions of what happened and even then I'm leery to trust the reliability of the news. Would you agree that there's a difference from, say, a person of ISIS than the Florida shooting, yes? One is politically …

I agree with you 100% but, sadly, I don't feel that that's the point of these posts. I feel like it's a "see, they do it and need to stop too!". Nah, I don't care if someone I deem VERY unattractive masturbates to me, flashes their titties, wears shorts way too small because I'll just think "ew" and then maybe 5 seconds later forget about it because I'm focused on my life and not being offended because my tastes are different. My gf, however, does not like any unattractive person dressing skimpy…

Here's the problem: We have progressives and we have traditionalists. It's impossible to know which is which. Progressives want you to move along. They'll likely not get married because they pass on everything that's not perfect. If they do it'll likely end up in divorce. Every progressive I've met has crash and burned well before the marriage proposal though because they don't see perfectly eye to eye and disagreeing in politics is unacceptable. No means no but sometimes secretly means yes but …

Currently the situation is that feminists are calling all the shots, doing all the attacks on male human rights and silencing their societal voice. Right but they are also strangling themselves. Their faux desire for equality is basically making them sexist against themselves. In short time the new generation will see the problem, as they already are now, that they are all but saying women are inferior and therefore need help. A new generation is starting to grow that's going "wait... I'm not su…

Police said Yovino claimed she was raped on Oct. 15, 2016 Updated 4:45 pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 Superior Court Judge Maureen Dennis tentatively scheduled the case for trial before a jury on Feb. 21 Jesus fucking christ. The amount of time it's taking to resolve this is obscene. Yovino was offered a plea bargain by prosecutors of two years in prison and later a judge’s offer of one year in exchange for a guilty plea to the charges. Wow. Just... wow. Can you imagine being those two dudes ho…

1 are relevant when the profession is about physical labor. I don't see feminists push for women to get into offshore work or construction. 3 more applies to things like war when immediate ignoring of the emotions of a situation are not needed. However women are more "intelligent" with emotions in that they can recognize them and enumerate them significantly faster than men. What takes me a few days to process and discuss can happen in minutes with my girlfriend. However she freaks out far easie…

It's easy for us to say that when we don't have someone willing to throw bags of money at us.

And, to add icing on the top, men who care about male rights are openly mocked and attacked while females who care about female rights are granted support and assistance. This is why I'll never get behind feminism in any form.

It's interesting because actual rape victims are quick to say "those two are VERY different" and get angry at those equating them as the same. People who haven't been raped but have been, shall I say, inconvenienced by rude words call it rape and literally the same thing as being forcefully penetrated. I'm starting to view it like Reddit where people have a passionate opinion about something but absolutely no experience or desire to educate themselves on it. Like, say, the police officer stuff t…

Heh, I used to call a friend an SJW / white knight because he defended women to get laid. He was friends with a lot of women and believed a lot of the rhetoric told to him. When confronted with facts or asked for citations / data he would cower back into adjectives that weren't terribly polite. Apparently I was required to believe everything without question because "I couldn't understand what women go through" but when I said "so then it's true that women can't understand what men go through" h…

I find my reaction to such things interesting. When I see that stuff on my Facebook feed, in the tone it's shown as, I always feel personally attacked. When I see other men who say they were raped too get blown off it tells me they are personally attacking men and my emotional response is justified. I'm always one to own up to my own stereotypes. Male, white, geeky, etc. What I can't stand is when no one else does the same and acts like their group is perfect angels.

I seem to recall, and I could be very wrong here, but there used to be a /r/theredpill and it was very hateful towards women. My guess is it was a lot of angry, abused, or otherwise hurt men who turned toxic out of the pain. I get it and understand it though -- men have very little recourse after that while women have a ton of resources so it's incredibly easy to turn bitter against the world.

In every single reasonable justice system. You can be guilty as sin -- but there be no evidence to prove it. Conversely -- you can be innocent and the system can convict you. If I shoot and kill your kid. You see it happen. I get tried in court but found not-guilty (ever notice how verdicts are guilty/not-guilty? There's a reason) -- that doesn't mean I didn't kill your kid but instead that they couldn't prove I did it and my defense was better than the prosecution. I'm still, effectively, a mur…

Grow up you bunch of boys Ahh, the good old "only real men" type of attitude... and you telling others to grow up with that attitude? Uh huh and, I assume, you'll be joining the along in the growing up since you need a healthy dose yourself? Or is that high horse there not going to take you where you need and, instead, take you where you want? Wow has this subreddit gone from men's rights to women bashing? Is that so? -- pretty sure they were corrected by someone else, and the votes are showing …

Was there an article in the newspaper about that? Of course not. I've been telling some IRL friends that Reddit should have a follow-up link so we can, well, follow up. Instead of the !Remindme 2 days thing -- we could just save it and see in our saved stuff. I'm very often interested if claims turn out to be true. Especially in /r/science and such.

Uh huh. No offense but you seem naive to the situations of which I think the only way you'll learn is through personal experience. However, assuming I were to believe you, it brings to question: Why are you here? You don't seem happy with MRA's and it seems contradictory to your own opinion.

This is why you need feminism Every time I ask a feminists how to handle things like prostate cancer or battered men they point to Men's Rights. Then, in their second breathe, they say MRA's are toxic and sexist. Feminists should not and can not be trusted. They are about pulling all the boons men get while ignoring all the prices we pay. But seriously -- try it yourself. Make a fake account and ask around. Then, reverse genders in another account and watch what happens. The only way for you to …

You're almost right and then you fly off the rails. Indeed, victim narrative for everyone needs to die -- but that's for those manufacturing fantasies. There really are victims in the real world. There's also "professional victims". Those are two very different groups. If I shoot you in the leg out of anger -- you're a victim. If I say "you look nice" and you get offended to the point you make a large scene from it then you're a professional victim. There's a difference between "man up" to take …

Women are expected to be attractive -- something society is fighting against now. Men are expected to provide -- something society is holding them to. There's a huge disconnect here and it's creating a lot of bitterness, justifiably.

It's important, I feel, to not become bitter though. I don't get into MRA events because I would turn into a very bitter woman hating person. I got screwed over pretty hard over a lie (and luckily came out the other side with a good lawyer and the truth came out). All we can do is encourage balance and honest discussion.

A lot of people, not just men, have no idea how biased and sexist the courts are. They remain ignorant. This is, literally, institutionalized legal sexism. I had a gamer friend who passionately anti-MRA up until he found himself dating a crazy chick who lied and found out the world believes them and is against you. And there's fuck all you can do about it. For years he said I had "PTSD" from my situation and I was like "nope, I just have a strong bearing for what to avoid and what I'm walking in…

Back when I was going through the process of finding out of a kid was mine I was, quite literally told, that if I can't afford child support I was better off dead. I'm on some very expensive meds and, at the time, didn't make much money. So I said if I can't afford meds and I die then is that really better off for the kid? Yes, according to every single mom out there -- I was better off dead. Now imagine if those medications were antipsychotics instead of immunosuppressants? Well it's worth the …

In Texas for you to be common law married you have to present yourselves as married. Meaning if I have a friend I live with for a long time -- we aren't married unless we tell people we're married, act like we're married, etc. Family law, in Texasm is very sexist against men but in this instance it's not.

Australia The world is more than Australia and the USA. I've been unable to find any record of an accusation against a good samaritan Out of curiosity -- what process was your research? Which news channels did you visit?

That's the thing, accusations make it to the news. The news ends up in Google. In a world with a courtroom of social media -- you're doomed. Look at Mr. George Takei. He's someone now accused of something he can't recall and doesn't seem to understand it yet, not too terribly long ago, played to his crowd as "this is why people don't come out" with those accusations. The reality here is quite damning and we, as a society, are at fault. We give people with wild stories too much credence before sh…

To those still reading: we aren't fuckin' around. My cardiologist put his pen down and had me repeat what he said. A dude that's usually in and out stopped in his tracks basically said: This can kill you. We can't joking or exaggerating. So, seriously, to those still reading -- do not be scared to ask the embarrassing questions. Pre-heart problems I could stay hard for about 3 hours and go full stroke. I was fit as fuck. Now? I don't have control when it's up and how long it stays that way. It f…

That's great and all but I am not risking the "he fondled me while I needed help" accusation unless I know the person personally and they know I'm not like that. Random person? Sorry, out of luck. My life isn't worth getting ruined by helping the wrong person. Sure, they'd lose in court in every way -- but that Google search is piss in a pool once an accusation is made.

The problem I have with the word "oppression" is the same I'm coming to have with "rape" and "sexual assault". It's starting to mean "I didn't get my way therefore (insert one of the above words here), and you should believe me without evidence and without question". I'm sure oppression happens. I'm sure sexism happens. Problem is I'm not sure it happens at the rate I'm told it's happening because I don't trust a.) the definition and b.) people to interpret the definition equally. have more reso…

That's not a coincidence you feel that way -- you've likely been conditioned to feel that way without even knowing it. Social manipulation is subtle and difficult to notice, in general. These aren't people conciously thinking "let's manipulate you" as much as it is them deciding what's acceptable and normal and that having a very large sway over you. This has been shown countless times in psychology and is quite fascinating.

I've, quite literally, been told to my face by a black person that's it's impossible for a black person to be racist in any way. I was I was joking. I backed out of that conversation and left that person.

That has less to do than an ideology and more to do with understanding reality. Take the same approach to the common redditor that hates the police and throws all kinds of rhetoric out there and ask them to go on a ride along. I've never not see someone change their opinion. You can argue until you're blue in the face but when they see it before their very real eyes it's a whole other world baby doll.
