The Crown Attorney's Office is the criminal prosecution branch of the Canadian government, analogous to the District Attorney in the US. The Crown Attorney would not be involved with any civil case (including those against the government), and would only be involved in the prosecution of government officials. I don't believe "the government" can be indicted in a criminal proceeding, only people who work for the government.

It's anti-socialism, has nothing to do with you unfortunately. If fathers of unwanted kids could walk away, there would immediately be a huge financial burden on the welfare system. Politicians would rather allow a man who has been shown to NOT be the biological father of a child continue to pay support than to dedicate more public funds to welfare and social assistance.

Churches have been pushing that agenda worldwide for thousands of years with nothing short of absolute failure. People gonna fuck. e: downvote all you want, what I'm saying is borne out by reality across the whole world, and with readily demonstrable facts in the US. Have a peek at the CDC page on the topic, loaded with citations and fully supporting sex-ed and contraception. Abstinence-only has failed. Deal with it.

So that's why reddit doesn't want people to say assault rifle. Makes sense now.

After this dude is done knocking her unconscious he casually puts her into his car and drives away. This goes further than denying a pass, he's a serious sociopath. e: I'm not guessing or editorializing, this has been reposted over and over. Dig up the whole youtube and see if you end up rooting for the guy, he's a remorseless wife beater and he's going to end up killing her.

This needs to be higher up. The rest of the video shows something pretty fucking dark.

This is kind of our thing now. Karla Homolka is living in Quebec and her two kids are attending a public school. Parents are furious that one of the famed "schoolgirl killers" is living in their midst and they weren't advised. Why weren't they advised? After a little less than 12 years behind bars Homolka had served her sentence under the most wretched Crown deal in Canadian history, and after raping, torturing and murdering three young girls including her younger sister she doesn't need to regi…

Assuming any aboriginal person is a rapist (or conversely that a rapist is aboriginal) due to stereotypes about aboriginals is. You don't need to say "all", you need to blindly assume that your stereotype is right - or probably right.

I dispute your assertion of truth. This type of predictive racism stems from the Hasty Generalization fallacy, and in particular is a type of induction fallacy - again totally dishonest in its genesis - is based solely on your application of racial stereotypes. "ignore the truth" is a cousin to the "just calling it like I see it".

This discussion is going places. Using prejudice to make predictive assumptions about people is racism. Observing a criminal activity and predicting the race of the assailant may even be statistically supportable, but it is still racist. But you know that.

Are you arguing that holding down your child to be raped is an evolutionary behaviour? You view the world through an odd lens.

According to the Anti Defamation League, you're wrong on that one. Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person's social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics. But good try nonetheless. Presupposing that a person will express the traits that are associated with stereotypes about their race, which is what /u/RhetoricWarrior was doing, is an extremely pervasive and insidious form of racism, because it com…
