3	How false accusations destroy lives Well, we can't possibly know how many false rape accusations are made, which is a problem. But I wouldn't call it a feminist lie that false reports are rare, since 2-8% is pretty rare, ~1 in 20 cases. Calling them liars makes the assumption that they know the numbers are greater, which they don't. We also know that reported rapes are just a drop in the bucket compared to rapes that have occurred, which is another problem. 1	How false accusations destroy lives I don't think that really dispels anything, because we don't know how many of the other 88-93% are false accusations rather than lack of evidence. It took me years to come to terms with what happened to me, and when I finally gathered the courage to seek justice, it was denied because there was no physical evidence. That limited me to a civil case, where I could basically only prove that my rapist and I were in the same place at the same time.
