I see this advice all the time and I think it's completely wrong. What causes ED in this situation is stress, being nervous, performance anxiety, etc. Solutions that work are trying again with a girl that understands or taking a pill so that you can focus on fucking her

How do you change that? On the surface I have almost everything in order but deep down I still get negative thoughts that I embrace and try to change ... I know what needs to change, I am very aware but how do I do that ? I know there's no simple answer to this. Just curious to see what people who have gone from one side to the other have to say about this...

I'm not sure about the "embrace the negative thoughts" thing, care to add something? I do feel like I'm battling my inner self, that's a great description but at the same time I feel great trying to change myself to become a better version of me How does embracing a thought like "you're not good enough for this for her for that" helps me have more confidence in myself ? I meditate(d) a bit, I think my headspace is pretty good in terms of how I view my thoughts but I still experience that battle …

Bump, I really see myself in your description It's the classic "I have everything worked out except for girls" The self sabotage bit is so true, so annoying to read all that theory, to experience good and bad situations but you still go back to your previous rookie mistakes

I don't agree, alcohol lets you live in the moment so you might look like an idiot but you don't care which can be attractive (of course I'm not talking about someone who's pissed drunk and barely walking on the dancefloor). I think that's kind of the end goal you want to have when you're sober: go there to have fun and not give a damn about what others think ... Of course, easier said than done

And yeah, I'm a beginner fyi but I use a mix of "canned openers" (not as in I say to myself before going out "Okay, tonight I will use this one", it's just that I have noticed that I use some lines more than others naturally because it often triggers a conversation), contextual openers or just introducing myself (openers don't matter, it's not a myth) From there you listen to what she says and conversate (easier said than done)

Yeah I guess I needed a place to vent, thanks for your input! And yeah, I make it sound as if I was going out and my whole night was shitty, that's not true, I went out with some friends, got drunk and danced which are things that I thoroughly enjoy doing, I'm still frustrated at the end of the night as if I was telling myself "You know you went there with the main goal to get a girl and you did not succeed" which pisses me off because the night was fun overall

Does it work sometimes ? I don't have that much experience but I feel like you're saying that it's 50/50 for you (as in, it works 50% of the time) Similar thing to what you're saying, girl I have been attracted to for a long time, had sex with her 5 days ago, I got so anxious that I completely forgot that I had this hot naked girl in front of me, I was so spaced out it fucking sucked, couldn't get hard, she left, that was it
