You didnt read. I never said it was a bad thing. I would do the same for my older and younger sister. What the kid said was "If anyone should die, it should be me." because he INHERANTLY knew that it is his duty to put his life on the line for a girl. I wouldn't have blamed him for running for help either. It's the notion that his first thought was he was better off dying than his sister.
