I've been reading your posts and I can relate. I'm 28f with my husband 36m. The kid/parent relationship sort of comes into play but I've reframed it as "I keep him fun" and "he keeps me responsible". This is is just one of many ways our opposites complement each other <3

Totally agree... it'll be 30 max! Luckily we are both pretty frugal and don't care about all the bells and whistles.

Self-improvement is a life long journey and you're already well on your way. It might help to make a list of thi bbc s you want ro improve, then set goals as well as a timeline for how you will achieve them. It can be as simple as picking up a new cookbook and setting aside some time to plan meals (side note, I get all my groceries delivered now and that helps so much).

What's the red pill movie?

I just want to say that it's clear that you're already making progress. Keep being self-reflective, but don't be too hard on yourself. Make small changes and before you know it you will become the person you want to be. One more thing... it's natural to want to go out and replace the love that you lost, but don't constantly compare the next guy to your previous boyfriend. It's good to know what you're looking for, but give the guy a chance to be himself!

I'm really on the fence about this now. A year ago I would have said you absolutely have to live with your SO before considering marriage. But now I'm waiting for my boyfriend to propose and the longer I wait, the more I wonder if I should move out. Like we could try again when he shows he's serious. But that means I'd be pulling away from what I want, which is to be with him!

You turned him down for a reason. Trust your judgement.

I'm slowly starting to set up an Etsy site to sell some crochet items, so while it's not for him per se, it still shows I'm making an effort and he admires that. I'm open to suggestions!

One time he started skyping with a friend mid date. Wow. It's totally up to you what you're willing to put up with, but I would feel pretty disrespected in your position. Have you spoken to his friends (or have they said anything to you) about maybe it's a bit odd that they're always together?

If I am understanding you correctly, your main goal is to finish your studies, marry, have kids, and work part-time or not at all, to put your kids first. You are worried this is not possible because of the cost of living, and the pressure others put on you to be a career woman, even men you might date. You are in your early 20s and think you are doomed. Let me just say... this is a very normal and respectable thing to want. I'm 26, I have 2 degrees but I was raised by a stay-at-home-mom and wou…
