You realise that the point of being a politician is TO win votes in issues you think people want resolved right? And sure companies need to be the ones to solve it, but governments can definitely help. Imposing a 5 pence charge to disposable plastic bags has cut down on its use in the UK by like 85%. That's incredible. The US should try something like that. Many policies like that really work and only a government can implement it.
