So you're going full Harrison Bergeron then. You never go full Harrison Bergeron.

Right, in the US, Canada, the U.K., Australia, women's rights are equal to men's. In some countries, like the ones subject to Trump's ""Muslim Ban"" they can be treated like slaves or cattle.

True! I can't wait for them as a group to stop shaming people for "acting white" so they can start achieving like white people do. It's a cultural shift that has to take place. Many blacks figure it out and succeed in spite of the culture, and I hope they are at the forefront of helping MAGA.

I'm not a citizen of any of those countries. Nor do I advocate for bringing people who wish to bring that culture to my country.

No, those are reasons that people can have equality without having equity.

Source what? Women have at least equality under the law, in some places they have superior rights over men.

Yes. And I don't know how you could call something that happens every day hypothetical, or something that entirely explains the homelessness gap as moot.

It's so far from a moot hypothetical, it makes me wonder if you've ever been made aware of any of human history from any country in the world, ever.

Because it's obviously true, that's why. Women's shelters are a GOOD thing. But an average woman usually has a pretty good idea of at least one man in her social circle who would be more than willing to let her spend the night indefinitely.

Women die in half of all successful abortions. Men are told from a young age, if you don't want a kid, don't have sex. Women are told, don't worry, you can't be held responsible for having as much sex as you want! It's the law! Twelve rights somen have that men dont

No, there is no argument. If we decide to have sex, even once, we are required to produce enough income to support a child, whether or not it is ours, for the better part of two decades. Our genitals can be mutilated at birth. If we are an inconvenience to our mothers, they can have us killed as long as we haven't been born yet. They can choose at any time to no longer care for us. The government can conscript us to die for them at any time. You have equal rights. Any more progress is looking fo…

Aside from there being plenty of women's shelters, nearly every woman has the option to move in with someone in exchange for sex. They may have to lower their standards a bit, but the offer is pretty much always there. And when a better offer comes along, they can leave with no repercussions.

Because natural selection means that if I'm bigger and faster than you, at any time I want, I can come and kill you and take your accumulated possessions, and your woman. We don't want nature, red in tooth and claw. We want civilization, with peace and art and modern conveniences like air conditioning. Unfortunately, it's not up to us. TRP deals with what is, not what you or I would like.

Or the man is doing more difficult work, like carrying a bunch of heavy boxes on his back, while the woman has to walk it without the heavy load.
/r/MensRights12/12/16 12:32 AM

Wrong. If you tell a bunch of men that they have to cut that check every month, or else you could have your work license suspended and be thrown in jail, those men are going to work longer and harder, and be willing to accept worse working conditions and higher risk in exchange for more earnings.

I've been lifting for seven months. Getting in there, moving the weight, feeling stronger, and feeling the confidence has been worth every second. I still struggle with form on some lifts, but holy shit, there's nothing like going from 60 lb deadlifts to 225. Results will make you come back, and as you improve, you start to care enough to really work on your form. I wish someone had told me in high school that I could change my body.

Pour your dry oatmeal into a Tupperware, add milk instead of water. Put a little honey on the top, and/or yogurt/peanut butter/fresh fruit. Let it sit overnight in the fridge. Eat in the morning. It's called overnight oats, and the process (don't forget toppings!) neutralizes the sadness.

True. If he had a lot, he could've paid cash. If you make a lot, it's easier to qualify for a loan. And the loan payments would probably have been less than $730/mo.

Fuck you, fuck your whore of a mother, and fuck the father you never knew because he wouldn't pay. I grew up dirt poor in a leaky mobile home with no insulation and aluminum wiring, with no father, ten miles from a grocery store, in the middle of nowhere. Hand-me down clothes from strangers and church, food pantries, and being excited over Chinese soda pop from the grocery outlet.

Either he is the father or not. If he is the father, then there should be some balance of support and custody/visitation. If he is not, then he should have neither support nor custody/visitation. That's how rights and responsibilities work. You're saying he should have the responsibilities without the rights. That's immoral.

How is it that in a world of almost infinite technology and abundance, we still don't have time to eat breakfast before going to work in the morning? So true. Part of it is how much of our time and resources we sink into our technology. $200 a month for smartphones for the family, cable, Netflix, current TVs and computers and/or laptops. Yes, they are all nice things, but how many hours a month are we working so we can waste time on our tech? That'd give us time, energy and money for some decent…

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice; in practice, there is. I think that fourth wave feminism is going to acknowledge that most of women-as-women's problems have been cut down to size, and that maybe women should be concerned most with how good rich white women have it, and helping other women have a better time of things. If that's what you think intersectionality is all about, then you've got a branding problem, and I hope you get some better PR and a bunch of wins.
/r/MensRights06/08/16 07:06 PM
1

Well clearly I don't have any critical thinking skills, I'm on Reddit! So your ad hominem is well placed but unhelpful. But when I put my minuscule cis white male brain to the task, third wave feminism looks to me like a river, in reverse. You'd think feminists would band together, as half the population, a strong rushing river of feminine power. But from what I've seen of intersectionality, first you break off straight vs LGBT, then cis vs trans, then white vs black vs OtherNonWhitePeopleOfColo…
/r/MensRights06/08/16 01:54 PM
1

Of course it's fractured! The whole point of intersectionality is slicing and dicing people into smaller and smaller groups of oppressed people.

Well then, you'd better man the fuck up, Fritz. Go find some heavy things, and pick them up, and put them down again - over and over until you're strong. Then you can protect yourself from more physical threats. Look at your financial situation, and figure out what you can do to improve it. Assume all government programs will get stolen, and don't be surprised if you see people in your country using wheelbarrows for grocery money. Figure it out, or get plans to bail. You live in interesting time…

Attraction and sexuality are how you feel about something. Feelings, wants, needs, desires can all be fluid. Sex is a tangible reality. Either you've got a "y" chromosome that came with a penis at birth, or you don't. No matter how many body modifications you get, if you were born a man, you will never be a cat, or a woman. Biology doesn't give a shit about how we feel. If you are a man, and want to pretend you are a woman, that is your choice. It's a free country, and I'm not in favor of lockin…

The effect of different hormones is definitely interesting, and relevant to TRP. Your equating homosexuality to body dysmorphia and self-mutilation is ridiculous. It's not a matter of sexuality not working towards reproduction. You don't have to be crazy to like anal, or mastubation, or any number of kinks that don't lead to babies. There is a huge difference between liking something that feels good, and believing you are a female when you have a penis, testicles, and a naturally abundant supply…

When you think you're a hamplanet at 98 pounds, you're crazy. When you think you're a cat, but you're a person, you're crazy. When you think you're a woman, but you've got a penis, you're crazy. Cutting off your penis doesn't make you any less male, just like an anorexic cutting themselves doesn't make them weigh less. In summary, crazy.

So, before Einstein everything revolved around a center and then after Einstein not anymore. WRONG! The universe behaved as it always did, both before and after Einstein. Our understanding of it changed, but the truth did not. We get closer or further from understanding, but the underlying reality is no different.

I realized today that based on my current income: if I didn't have any debt or child support payments, I would be pretty well off. The fact that I feel poor as shit sometimes is 100% my fault due to poor choices I've made in the past. I can't change those choices that I have made: I can only make better choices in the future.
