It's nature and nurture, but it might as well be completely hereditary because once you're an adult you're very unlikely to be able to change it. Your brain needs to be wired the right way for it.

You're mixing up cause and effect. They retreat into escapism because they don't know how to play the "little hierarchy games". Usually because no one ever taught them, they have no example to follow or they were traumatized by their parents so they're anxious and lack confidence. Or because they simply can't win in that area (they're smaller, uglier, mentally slower, etc). The ones who actively engage in it are the ones who have more normal families or other positive influences in their lives. …

It's not just learned helplessness. Think of it in terms of performative behavior vs natural, instinctual behavior. Faking it vs actually BEING it. If you grew up being bullied and or/excluded, you physically don't have the right kind of brain for naturally behaving in a masculine way. Your natural impulse will always be passive/fearful/avoidant.

You can't change your core personality in adulthood. There is no "healing".

Would you feel attracted to a man if he wasn't physically attractive and had no power or status? Let's say he has no job, he's weak/scrawny, no friends, he's a pushover, he's boring, nobody respects him, he depends on you to make decisions, he expects you to protect him in dangerous situations, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 07:09 PM

Except that can easily happen and does happen all the time. If you're working at the same job, in the same friend/social/hobby group, etc, then there's a good chance you're going to encounter women who have heard about you. Women gossip a lot, adult life is the same as high school.

It depends on what women tell their friends about you.

It's not possible to change your personality as an adult. It's set in stone during the developmental years. The problem that these men have is that they were raised wrong (single mothers) or had the wrong genes.

Social skills need to be taught/modeled by parents or other role models when you're young and your brain is still developing. Anything past that point won't be integrated in your core personality (instincts).

If you can't write out a step-by-step plan with very detailed instructions for men that lived in total isolation with no social experience in their youth, then it's useless to tell guys that they're wrong for staying that way. Social skills aren't learned in adulthood. If you don't have the right instincts and core personality from getting the right genes, upbringing, environment, and hormonal balance as a child and teenager, then you never will.

Being able to act like an asshole and get away with it is a display of power/dominance. So yeah they often do like assholes. Bullies are more successful with women than bullying victims.

It's not a gotcha. If we're not equal, then it shouldn't be a taboo subject. We should be able to teach kids the differences in gender roles so everyone knows what's expected from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 12:42 AM

Of course, they go to clubs half naked for no reason. And they definitely never hook up with a guy they just started talking to on tinder.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 12:25 AM

Depends on who the stranger is

Scientists lie sometimes. Especially nowadays. Try being the scientist that wants to publish a study that will come to a "problematic" conclusion and continuing to stay employed. Methods can be adjusted to skew the data one way or the other. Studies that use self-reported data are especially useless. I prefer to believe my own personal experiences when available.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 12:01 AM

If your boundary is that you don't want them to act sexual then you're probably not that attracted to them and they're better off finding that out sooner rather than later.

They didn't pretend to be into the woman. In this example, they both are physically attracted to each other, they both wanted to hook up, and they both got it.

I believe childhood/puberty nutrition and exercise habits play a large role in determining male attractiveness. A guy that was sedentary and didn't eat enough during puberty is probably not going to end up developing fully masculine features as an adult.

Yes. They will be perceived as "masking better" because high functioning autistic traits are not as much of an obstacle for women. And due to the differences in gender roles, they have more opportunities for positive social interactions (and fewer traumatizing ones) during their developmental years, which will improve their mental development. It's not that they're simply doing something that autistic men choose not to do.

You're explaining why they don't actually mask better and they're just getting credit for being born female.

Gold digging involves offering sex for money, when there isn't real desire. Same principle.

Then why isn't gold digging/gold diggers illegal?

Average looking women don't look like grandmas and gay dudes though.

The whole anti-female gaming culture thing is way overblown. Most gamers are simps. Who do you think gets more easy twitch subs, women or men? Some gamers just push back against the culture of draining all entertainment of anything that appeals to men in order to cater to feminist ideology. Doesn't mean they hate women, they just want to keep enjoying their hobby and not have it turned into another soap box for political lecturing.

They're given more lenience and more opportunities to socialize during the years when their brains are developing. And the bar is lower for them in general since being quiet, anxious, or weak isn't a big deal if you're a woman. While their male counterparts are bullied or excluded, so my guess is that their brains literally end up being less developed in social areas due to inexperience/negative experience in developmental years, and their behavior stands out more since men are expected to alway…

lol, school doesn't actually teach you how to do any of these things. It's like throwing your kid in the water and telling them to swim, then saying you taught them how to swim if they managed to not drown on their own. You only figure these things out if you have good parents/relatives to learn from or naturally very high intelligence and charisma.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
