Yep. AI is coming for white collar work first, it pays the most and is the most lucrative to eliminate. It started with lower pay careers like basic office work. Talk to any software dev who works on automation tech. The first things going now that basic office work is going is whatever IT jobs can be automated. It's going to trickle out from there. Ironically the more the you use your hands and body for work, the harder it is to automate. Plumbers, electricians, etc are good for a long while. T…

They also gave us germ theory and antibiotics. Please get your boomer tier anti science shit out of here.

It's almost like academia encompasses many different departments and they aren't all the same. Let me guess, you've never read an actual academic research paper and thought about why it might be right or wrong on your own. Instead you listen to youtube videos and read "studies" done by manosphere grifters who couldn't tell you the purpose of a P-value if you held a gun to their heads.

I think my language was overall harsh. Evo psych could be useful once it undergoes an upgrade in it's rigor. As it is right now, it has very little use because it's studies are badly constructed. That gets even worse when you take the replication crisis into account. Most major medical studies are having to be reevaluated because of it. That's medicine, with a much more rigorous bar to clear than any psych publication, especially something as murky as evo psych. It would be one thing if evo psyc…

Most evo psych is incredibly poorly done, it has the same problems psych as a whole has; in that it's not an actual science. There is a reason biologists laugh at it. I get how evo psych could hypothetically be useful in explaining why certain evolutionary traits are valuable or developed, it just doesn't to a satisfactory level. A considerable amount of evo psych is "Just so" stories when they are boiled down, it sounds plausible. But just because something sounds plausible doesn't make it true…

TRPs attraction theory is also trash lol. Evo psycho is a total joke in academia by and large. It's the red headed step child in sociology.

Evo psych is trash. You could easily make the argument that women who have slept around a lot have a high competition for reproduction; and elicit a lizard brain response in men to go for women who haven't fucked the entire tribe. It's trash and I don't buy it, but you could make the argument.

Not even the 21st. Starting a cult of personality is a tale as old as time. It's just much easier to do in a post-internet world. He also couples that that with an MLM, another timeless scam.

I'm not a stats person at all, I suck ass at it actually. I just remember them talking about the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replication_crisis and it's effect on a vast majority of studies. But it's obviously especially applicable to data sets based on self report.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/22 04:17 PM

Yeah totally. One of those big studies was actually by an institute at the college I attended. I'm in software, but I remember all the stats nerds laughing when I asked them about it.

I think the CDC data on body count is very inaccurate. It relies on self reported data, that is never good for an accurate data set. It's why political polling has gone to shit since 2015. It's notoriously hard to weight for respondents just straight up lying.

Most women on apps don't need to give below average guys a chance, or want to. So it's moot. Even if every uggo wanted to commit, women don't want those guys.

Ask them then, why are you asking me lmao. edit: I don't even see where that's stated, are you even in the right chain?

Did you reply to the wrong person? I have no idea why you think that's a gotcha lmao. They don't have to vanish, they just are matching with the same subset of men.

OLD isn't just pictures lol. You can absolutely get a sense of what someone is like based off how they type and what they say on their profile. Also if they have a lot of pictures of them doing active cool shit, you can extrapolate they are confident and adventurous. Two things women love, you just also happened to have to look good too for it to matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/22 05:58 PM

People invent personalities based on pictures. Halo effect is a thing even knowing nothing about another person. People become infatuated with an idea of someone all the time. Also the sample size is not small on OLD, even though the total % of women is smaller. We're still talking about millions of women. You can make an argument for sample bias, but I don't even think that holds merit given the diverse set of people who use apps today.

What you're saying is statistically true. But then you state it's flawed to use the data to understand "desire". Two different things there. What you said about the statistical reality of the app can true. It can also be true that putting a buffet of men in front of a small amount of women results in them only wanting a small % of the men. If the notion women primarily cared about personality or anything other arcane and highly subjective traits, you wouldn't be able to predict a mans success ba…

Man I haven't seen Ioannidis's work on this cited in years. I remember when I first read/listened to him talk about this in like 2012. It really did change my entire perspective on academia in general.

It's not "men" who can't accept this. It's people who NEED to believe and convince themselves meritocracy is an actual thing, and that if you put in effort and work hard you will find a women/man regardless of how ugly you are. Most people go through life with a nasty, harmful just world fallacy. How many times do you hear people cope with karma whenever some billionaire does some awful shit "they'll eventually get what's coming to them" Yeah, they will, more power and money lmao. The world does…

No, you're just the typical RPD poster who comes here to assume the most bad faith reading of any posters opinion, then act like they are so much more enlightened about insights into people, then project your own negative bad faith arguing into discussions. I'm just going to block you because I can tell it's pointless talking to you.

I gotta say, you are the worst type of poster on this sub. No obviously I don't speak for all men lmao. But I am speaking as a man. Don't act like women on this sub don't give broad descriptions of women's behaviors as well. People are not so special they can't be generalized.

It would be easy enough to say average men, but then you'd have RP people debating genuine attraction vs settling. It really depends how obsessive you want to get into the breakdown of who is and isn't dating and why. Someone linked a good thread of an article showing there are more single men ages 18-50 looking for an LTR than women of the same age. I personally don't think that's all down to women's unrealistic beauty standards they place on men. There are a significant amount of men in that s…

I think some of it is insecurity. I mean look, if are you going to sit here and tell me if a man or woman saw their partners exes, and they all looked radically different and more beautiful than they are, the thought that they are being settled for isn't going to cross their mind at all? And it's not going to have any veracity depending on other circumstances in the context of their relationship? Also, I think you're mixing up the small subset of men on this site/ within the manosphere who think…

I think people like you and really this sub in general needs to understand is that redpill as it originally existed in 2014-15 is dead. It's been replaced with blackpill and incel ideology. Beta bux was originally men who were safe with some level of resources women would settle down to have kids with after they had their fun with men they found truly attractive, nothing more, nothing less. If you don't believe me you can go to that sub and search threads from that era. You can take issues with …

I think that's a little unfair to their position. I think it would be more accurate to say they are afraid their partner is with them not out raw desire, but because they need someone safe and stable. They don't like that because often times, not always, but often women don't get as turned on by those guys. Those men make them feel different. I've thought about this a lot, after I realized I never wanted kids and planned my vasectomy these fears, to the extent I had them all melted away. Any chi…

I think that's largely true, especially the older and more experienced people get with people and relationship dynamics. I think it's less true for people under the age of 30, I still think physical attraction is largely king there. But I would agree even there, in extreme cases of manchildness it won't matter what a guy looks like, at least for any long term prospect.

I never said anything about that? I just said large segment of women are okay being alone if they can't date someone they are attracted to. I don't disagree dating "coaches" are all grifters or hocking an MLM scheme. Edit: I didn't see that in OP comment, yeah i'd disagree with that largely.

I think their point does kind of stand that at least some of those women would rather be, or at least are okay with being alone rather than date their equal. There is no shortage of anecdotes from women on this sub and social media in general saying so. Women don't need men anymore, so most of this makes sense.

I know 10 women in my grad class obsessed with BTS, they are all 26 or older. Momoa is well above average, that's not the point I was making. It doesn't really matter for what is perceived by as average by women. Make an account on any OLD app and look at men on there. There isn't a shortage of men who are comparable to him. Esp in a major metro like NYC or LA.

They are youngish, I'm 29 so I dodged the tiktok/instagram era. But I have nieces. What I'm about to say can also apply at least somewhat to men. Social media has melted their minds. Just look at the infatuation with Korean boy bands and fitness influencers. And they are seeing them all day everyday. My generation also had that to an extent with Nsync and such, but nowhere near to this extent. The thing is, these girls/women aren't growing out of it because they don't have to. Online dating tota…

I've heard from a lot of women irl that they "like" the dad bod because it makes them feel safe. They know their guy isn't going to be getting hit on, so she doesn't have to be as on point as she would be with a very fit guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/22 09:07 PM

Big enough to be a subset lol. Women who are terminally online can get a skewed idea of what an average guy looks like. Same if they are around really fit men all the time, it warps perspective. Not big enough to say it's majority of women, there are plenty of well adjusted realistic women.

I have seen quite a few women point to Momoas "dad bod" as the type of body they want their guy to have. Dude was just off cycle but with a shit ton of muscle with like 16% body fat. A subset of women really are delusional about what average is.

I don't think you're wrong. I also think it's unavoidable for a vast majority of men. Scarcity mentality isn't something you can just not have if your formative years were defined by scarcity. Look at a lot of people who grew up during the depression. They hoard and penny pinch even today. It's no different with romance and relationships, if it's something you've rarely had it's going to effect how you view them.

It just gets old, esp as a guy on the smaller side to be repeatedly told "x length is enough" when there is almost always a hidden caveat of the "small" dick being well above average girth. That makes it a big dick, so I just wish women would stop trying to be nice and just say they like big dicks.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/22 04:11 PM

I normally like your posts, but this is borderline incoherent. Do you know what 3 inches looks like? That is medically a micro penis. You aren't penetrating with that effectively. 10 inch dicks don't exist, there is a reason John Falcon won't let anyone verify his claims. Finally, girth IS SIZE. Dick size is a measure of volume. Just say you like big dicks and stop dancing around this shit.

I have never cared about what other people thought of my SO appearance. I view this the same as I do peer pressure. You're going to be less popular if you don't give in and conform to people expectations. I've lost friends over it. It is what it is. I just know I'm too fucking stubborn to let other people demand how I should act or what I should care about.
