They can. I think the problem with alpha-widows is that they managed to get with a guy who was outside of their improvement range. A 5 can become a 6 with effort. Outside of plastic surgery, they can't become an 8.

I feel like shaming men for cheating is basically shaming men. It’s calling our innate nature, something we seriously can’t help, evil. Calling men who cheat weak is one thing but coming at his character is fucked up. Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger...

I followed the link to the study from the video. I can't access the full article because sci-hub isn't working. However here's the snip of the abstract There was no correlation between men's IQ and the perceived intelligence rankings given by female adolescent judges, nor did these judges perceive men of higher IQ as more attractive. [...] As surprising as the inability of adolescent women to correctly evaluate intelligence is, it in any case may partly explain why they did not find intelligent …

If you read the article, it actually found that both high(95% percentile) and low(~25% percentile) paternal IQ were associated with autism. Low-IQ autism is usually the worse kind and also associated with ADHD and learning disabilities.

In the video, he makes a point that studies have shown that past a certain point(120 IQ iirc) intelligence isn't strongly correlated with job success or achievement. So it's possible that there's a secondary threshold where the diminishing returns means that even high IQ women are better off prioritizing something else like social skills or creativity which better predict real-world outcomes. There's also the fact that high paternal IQ is linked with autism, and autism is linked with low reprodu…

It seems to apply to both. Copying from the article Perhaps surprisingly, the investigation failed to uncover statistically significant, positive correlations between objective intelligence and rated sexual attractiveness of a hypothetical person at the higher-end of the intelligence percentile spectrum (e.g., 90th percentile). Thus, in this investigation's sample, a person with average intelligence was just as likely to rate a person at the 90th percentile of intelligence to be very sexually at…

Not OP, but I made a TL;DR. /u/nevomintoarce TL;DR Research shows there's a minimum threshold theory for intelligence 50th percentile(IQ of 100) was desired for a single date 65th percentile(106) was desired for LTRs Intelligence becomes less attractive when a person hits the 90th percentile(120) and becomes increasingly less attractive as the person hits the 99th percentile(135) People with IQs over the 90th percentile were still more attractive than people below the 50th percentile Younger wom…

It seems to me that this could easily be fixed by starting at a low dose and then swapping out bots for more alpha ones over a woman's lifetime. Young women get the average dudes and the little old ladies get the chads. I don't think it would take long for women to realize "low and slow" works the best. Right now the problem is that girls get with alphas and can't go back to betas. This would reverse that so that women would get the alphas at the end.

I'm not sure that naturals exist either. I think what women want are the guys with the most confidence and perseverance because those are advantageous traits. The guys who are willing to put themselves out there over and over again until they "get it" without actually getting it. TRP and PUA attempt to bypass this process by understanding the why first and then working backwards. I guess you could say it's like cheat codes which makes it more difficult for women to select men.

I do understand that, but, in my opinion that sounds like a really lower case hatred, I was thinking more about genocidal type hatred. Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I don't see a good argument towards a genocidal type hatred. I just don't think that men can 'just' laissez-faire hate women, for the reasons I lay on my post. I'll accept that there are biological reasons for men not to hate women. Given that, the best argument I could give would be that these biological reasons blind men to things that they se…

I should have clarified that I meant limited free will at a minimum. Men can both hate women and have an internal belief system that requires all humans to have certain unalienable rights. Just like you can hate someone and still think they should have the right to freedom of speech or bodily autonomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/20 02:48 AM
3

I think you're imagining something like chattel slavery. I'm talking more about societies prior to 1900s where women had limited rights under the guise of protecting them. However, since we're in PPD, I would make the argument that it was to ensure monogamy and equal distribution of a resource(women) to betas.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/20 12:40 AM
5

I can play devil's advocate. Is any human being able to protect that which they hate? If they see enough utility in protecting them, then sure. A person can hate Mexicans, but also hire them and protect them if ICE comes around. Wouldn't women just be men's slaves then? If they truly were seen as resources? Women are also a source of validation when they pick a man to sleep with. That's a 'resource' that men want. Therefore, they need limited free will to be able to choose between men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/20 10:51 PM
3

I think when people say this they mean women's personalities, or more specifically feminine attributes in the case of gay men. Men's biological need to protect women as a resource can be separate from them hating them as people.

(so long as she is inferior to me) I think this explains it pretty well. If you can limit him to girls that are below you, then he will never be with a woman he wants to replace you with. If he's cheating, you can't gatekeep the women he sees so there's a possibility that he snags a woman with a higher SMV/RMV and gets emotionally attached.

Posting under here since I agree. Sometimes I think ultimately what each sex wants is a slightly modified version of themselves in a hot guy/girl body. Women are looking for men that are really just less empathetic women, and men are looking for women that are more empathetic men. It's just that, because they are choosier, women get to dictate the terms and men have to follow them. My guesses Women are more likely to seek relationship advice online. Female users are upvoted disproportionately by the mainly male lurkers which means their replies are usually near the top of the comment section. Libido problems for men are less common so women may seek out help more because their situation is atypical.

I think becoming too aware of the other sex's biological imperative is what's causing the damage to both men and women. It kills the blue pill ideal of love and connection by showing you how the sausage is made. For guys, sleeping with different women is still nice so there's at least a silver lining for them. I'm not sure of a silver lining for women.

She doesn't have to be younger. The guy can increase his SMV after he gets with his wife. Working out, social skills, etc. In those cases, he can pull more attractive women naturally. It's just that most guys rest on their BBs so they take a hit in SMV.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/19 07:18 PM

Yeah, I'm thinking something like this. I've met some older women who still act that way, and most people just see them as childish and annoying.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/19 06:39 PM
1

Not necessarily. The classic "boss screwing his hot young secretary" is a great example where the mistress is usually more attractive than the wife. I think it's more likely due to the fact that the man has already give his major asset(resources) to another woman so he has a lower SMV when he goes back to the SMP. He can lie and say those resources are about to become available to boost his SMV, but that's a lot of work over the long-term so most will opt to just fuck less attractive women.

That article doesn't say that men select for less attractive women, just that their APs tend to be less attractive. It's possible guys want more attractive women, but they have to punch down because the odds favor women so heavily. iirc sites likes Victoria Milan and Ashley Madison have a 10:1 men-to-women ratio.

There's a difference between major tenets that form the foundation of a group's belief, and minor tenets that are debatable within the group. My understanding was that hypergamy and AWALT are major tenets of TRP. How and why does TRP work if they aren't true? A career woman who lives like Sex and the City can be just as happy as a woman who achieved being a SAHM. One isn’t the counter to the other. The tradcon argument is that these two women can't exist simultaneously. Career women will ride the CC and keep high-quality guys from committing. This causes a cascade effect because high-quality women won't date down so they have to become career women themselves.

Most moms have daughters as well. She knows 100% that any kids from her daughter will carry her DNA whereas she can't know that about her son's kids. Therefore it makes sense for women on a macro level to prioritize a woman's reproductive success to the detriment to their sons because it ensures their daughter's success as well.

Endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond pelvic organs. With endometriosis, displaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally would — it thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Because this displaced tissue has …

I think you misunderstood my point. I'm saying that the women that OP is talking about are still trying to ride their own form of CC. They've just replaced AF with AB. If the dude offered a relationship, they would take it. The majority of 25 yo women have jumped off the CC and are now pursuing BB which is what is causing the boost in most men's RMV at 27-33.

I’m based in the US in CA so my vision could be skewed compared to other parts of the country and world. Yeah, I think this is it. I've lived in the South and Midwest where being a SAHM for 5+ years is still feasible for a lot of women. However expecting a woman to only spend 2-3 years out of the workforce is impossible if she's staying with the kids until they are 2. Doctors recommend at least 1.5 years between kids so 1.5 years + 10 months + 2 years = 4.5 years. And that's assuming no fertilit…

No, resources are always finite. There's always a limiting factor. Time required, labor required, etc. The universe may be infinite, but people will always have limitations that we must work within. The limiting factors can be reduced thereby increasing resources. It doesn't take 8 guys and a week to plow a field anymore. It takes 1 guy and 1 day in a tractor. Yes, that is what it boils down to. Limiting the number of men who may contribute certainly won't help. It's easier to move forward when you don't have other people holding you back. Are the men at the top going to be able to accomplish as much if they're supporting the men at the bottom? I think this depends on what incentives the top guys are getting. Part of the book is online if you want to read it. Here's the relevant excerpts In the tenth century, a similar tendency was observable in the Arab Empire, the women demanding admission to the professions hitherto monopolised by men. ‘What,’ wrote the contemporary historian, Ibn Bessam, ‘have the professions of clerk, tax-collector or preacher to do with women? It's been a while since I studied it, but my understanding was that UBI is part of a transition period where there is still a large enough tax base. Skinny is attractive, but most people don't refuse to date former fat people. If anything, we praise them for having even more self-control than a person who was always skinny. In contrast, n-count is static. It doesn't allow for any change in behavior, and therefore doesn't necessarily show a person's current character.

women aren't competing with men for other women, men are competing with men. Hypergamy doesn't take place within the male hierarchy, more like adjacent to it. men do not like women competing in their established hierarchies, and will tolerate it only so long as her place is lower. Hmm...interesting. If we accept the premise that women are hypergamous, then the man must be equal to or higher than the woman in the social hierarchy to keep her committed. It's possible that men evolved to be hypogamous because a high-ranking woman is more likely to cheat or branch-swing to someone equal to or higher than herself. Just a theory tho.

They work on top of that and focus on the societal part of things. I think this is part where TRP and feminism clash. I agree that most people are ok talking about it in vague terms - oh, some women like this or that. The controversy comes in when TRP attempts to quantify these traits so they can copy naturally successful men. i.e. If you're only this attractive, you need to be x% alpha and y% beta. It seems like the problem isn't RPW itself, but trying to apply the strategy when you are <22. Guys your age aren't interested in LTRs right now, and older guys(23+) find you good for sex but probably not for relationships. 22-24 seems to be the sweet spot for RPW. The other 22-24 women will still be riding the CC while their SMV is high which leaves you competing with older women for dudes 25-29 whose SMV hasn't peaked yet.

Can you expand a bit more? I don't understand what you're trying to say. boys to girls? girls to boys?

In general, yes. The ratio is around 105 boys for every 100 girls. However, I don't think this aberrant H-Y antigen(the thing that causes the miscarriages and possibly homosexuality) makes women have first born boys over girls. I think it would be better stated that a first born male child is more likely to have younger sisters than younger brothers.

Gestational age or maternal age? It's a meta analysis so there are several papers involved. I checked the first one listed and they did control for both.

Not that I've found. The only correlation is having a male child.

According to this article, it does. Women* who had a male child had higher rates of miscarriage and low male:female birth ratio in subsequent births. Edit: who carry this aberrant H-Y antigen allele. Not all women carry it.

I'm sure some do, but the fantasy is usually more of a temporary harem like a love triangle/square where the woman assesses which guy she likes the best and then chooses him only. The other suitors eventually leave because they can't be with her, or they find other mates and become non-sexual. In contrast, male harems tend to be more permanent. The guy may single out a woman as the wife, but the other girls continue vying for his affection even after being relegated to side piece status.

What country are you in, and how do they differ?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/19 01:52 PM

Yes, I think it would depend on the individual person. Intent vs. end result, etc.

Loving someone for their personality would be "catual love/value" by my definition but that assumes that you actually know the personality of your SO. That could happen, but there is no guarantee that you are not being deceived. Can't you also deceive someone about your looks? Botox, plastic surgery, etc.

Just to clarify, would you agree then that the only form of actual value/love would be someone loving you for just the outer shell sans makeup, clothing, etc.? Everything else is merely an approximation or deception?

a bunch of electrical patterns inside of it Don't you still need to do something to display whatever is inside your mind? If a guy wants a girl who is nice, she still needs to show off this behavior by doing something.

Women compete harder for that small share of men, and many women just accept being single. https://theconversation.com/23-of-young-black-women-now-identify-as-bisexual-116116 Seems like a lot of them are turning to other women when high quality men aren't available

Isn't money and being a provider more of a BB strategy? How would this do/be work for AFs who are naturally tall, hot, charismatic, etc.?

Can you expand a bit more on what you mean? Do you mean women in general or attractive women?

Yes, this was my thinking as well. Maybe not fully gay, but bi seems like a more optimal solution for men than being straight. It solves the issue of lack of sex because they could hook up with other dudes while still allowing them to have biological children with their female partner. Social stigma could be a problem, but it could be avoided by only dating women.

That's why it's under the 'guys I know' part and not the universal one. It's just something that I've heard repeatedly from other men. Maybe they're all secretly in the closet. Dunno.

Age doesn't' matter. Freshness and hotness does. Doesn't this usually correlate with being younger in age? Obviously there's some 30 yo who are still hot, but generally it's around the age range that I gave. For most women it's a requirement for men to have that, but its also not what attracts women. Don't disagree here. Just talking about men. It's not for girls? Maybe making outrageous comments is not normal, but girls share more intimate sex life details with their girlfriends than guys ever …

Women are most attractive to men from right after puberty to around 23 Career, hobbies, etc. don't attract men Locker room talk is normal A man would fuck most of his attractive female friends, coworkers, bosses, etc. if he could Men aren't as nice to other men or unattractive women Some ones that I've heard from guys I know, but don't know if they are more true than not. Barring religious nuts, straight dudes would jump at the chance to be bi/gay so they could get laid more Think 3rd wave femin…

I could see some libertarian-leaning ones being against it because it's tantamount to the government forcing them to hand over their DNA to have their own child. A compromise would be some sort of opt-out system.

OP would have been better off had they dropped the specific age and just said men prefer women closer to when they finished puberty. 15 is a bad choice because it's a weird age where half the girls are finished with puberty and the other half aren't.
