Ive always heard that insanity is defined as doing something the same way over and over and expecting different results. I agree with what you are saying, I meant moreso in the context of how we (I) view the outside world. For example, I hated my job and routinely said "this place makes me pissed off, mad, etc." Eventually I realized that my place of work wasn't imposing negativity onto me, that I was instead assigning it a negative connotation. That's more of what I meant by nothing imposes emotion onto us. I completely agree that PEOPLE damn sure impose themselves on others in unhealthy ways lol.

Thanks for this! Gonna check it out too! One of the biggest turning points in my life was realizing nothing imposes emotion on us, we assign all emotion, whether it be good or bad, to our circumstances. Taking responsibility of my own emotions was one of the best lessons I've ever learned.
