Competitive victimhood and the MRMThe whole point of the MRM is that men are being victimized by the government and legal system in a malicious and systemic manner, and it is feminism, not tradtional gender roles, which is to blame. I don't agree. I think the point of the MRM is to raise awareness about mens issues. If feminism is to blame for some of those issues then it is ok to be critical of feminism but blaming all mens issues on feminism does nothing to help anyone. | /r/MensRights | 27/06/14 02:07 PM
There is no internet 'outrage machine' - just those outrageous rape apologists: Mainstream feminist Jessica Valenti's thoughts on George Will's comments about campus sexual assault, victimhood as a 'privilege', and our burgeoning victimization society, that drew heavy fire from feminists.I find it funny that the author talks about hearing story after story of the abuse women have endured and treats it like it is somehow the norm for women and that everyone should be listening. I wonder if she would spend a few weeks reading the stories men tell here on /r/MensRights and come to the same conclusion. | /r/MensRights | 26/06/14 12:20 PM

I am a married woman who had a discussion about an aspect of feminism relating to productivity and mentruation. ALL, and I mean EVERY ONE of the feminism/woman community subs REFUSE to let my question be posted. So I'm posting it here.I think we already technically pay women less because of this. I remember reading some statistics (which I can't be bothered to find right now) about how women take more sick days than men. If those sick days are not paid, technically, they are making less. I don't think women should be penalized for taking those days off though. | /r/MensRights | 13/06/14 04:23 PM
Is this what they mean by "Male Privilege"I think it was more to say that not all men are privileged. Yes, you are correct that it was men who decided that only men would be in combat roles for a long time but that doesn't mean that the men who died were somehow privileged. Especially if the men were drafted into the war. Some might even argue that the women were privileged for not having to die in a war even though they had no choice in the matter. | /r/MensRights | 12/06/14 05:28 PM
My current views on what Feminism, MR Activism, and Egalitarianism are.I think all of your views are reasonable and well articulated. You are a much better writer than I am. I am glad to have had this conversation. I think your "125 people raped" example would be excellent and I really hope we go in that direction in the future. Now, if you could make this argument to a feminist and have her/him agree with you I would be impressed. :) | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 11:07 PM
My current views on what Feminism, MR Activism, and Egalitarianism are.I just want to say one more thing. You said this in one of your other comments: She accepted it, and went on to discuss with me about how on a daily basis, she had to deal with various instances of being insulted. (Cat-called, hit on inappropriately, had people follow her; there was even an instance of someone randomly flipping her off for no apparent reason.) I agree this is a horrible thing and we need to raise awareness about it. Catcalling is dumb and men need to wake up and stop doing it. B… | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 10:13 PM
My current views on what Feminism, MR Activism, and Egalitarianism are. Then I fail to see your point of bringing up this in a mensrights forum. The problem I have with your argument is that you are basically telling MRAs to shut up and listen. The point of the MRM is to raise awareness about inequalities faced by men in our society. How is that to be done if we are told to shut up and listen? In order for a dialogue to happen both parties need to shut up and listen. Feminism is taught in schools. MensRights is not. Feminism has 100s of organizations that speak for … | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 09:41 PM
My current views on what Feminism, MR Activism, and Egalitarianism are.Again I agree with you. You mention trying to understand THEM but the problem is they will never actually try to understand US even though we try and understand THEM. I was raised with feminism. You can take Women Studies courses in university to understand them. Most mainstream media will advocate for THEM. You can't go two steps without hearing about feminism. I have started many conversations with feminists and I have asked them a whole bunch of questions. They never continue the conversation… | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 09:23 PM
My current views on what Feminism, MR Activism, and Egalitarianism are.I agree with pretty much everything you say. I have been reading mensrights and feminist stuff for months now because it is interesting to me. One thing I realized very quickly is that feminists DO NOT under any circumstance want to talk about issues that affect men. I ask you to try and start this conversation on the feminism subreddit and find out for yourself how they react to people asking them to work with you/us. | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 07:50 PM
My current views on what Feminism, MR Activism, and Egalitarianism are.I'm curious, have you posted this opinion in r feminism? What do they say? | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 07:28 PM
5 Uncomfortable Truths Behind the Men's Rights Movement -Cracked.comI have read about mammals that have gone extinct purely due to the fact that one sex (usually female) has died off due to some reason or another. There are lots of males and hardly any females. I don't have those papers available to me though. I see what you are saying but nothing you have said really disproves the theory either. | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 01:38 PM

5 Uncomfortable Truths Behind the Men's Rights Movement -Cracked.comI'm probably being annoying now but, do you not see that mathematically her arguments make sense? Try to imagine a village sending most of their women to defend against raiders who are starving and need food. The raiders kill all the able bodied women. Only old and frail women are left behind with lots of men. How does the village bounce back? I am not trying to be sexist but if the men didn't say NO don't go fight stay home and live here while we go fight then the village would be wiped out. Th… | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 12:36 PM

MensRights Reddit Twitter Bot: #Feminism is #HATE - Is it really required? Not even a tiny message that says "No affiliation to the twitter account: @mensrightsrdt" This would at least allow people here a way to let others know that hating people is not what this subreddit is about. You don't need to shut the bot down but allow us to prove to people we point to the #mensrights twitter tag that we are not about hate. | /r/MensRights | 02/06/14 07:53 PM

Patriarchy Theory and Biology: The Unjust Vilification of Men in Todays Society - Just some personal thoughts. But maybe that danger is not as prevalent as most feminists claim it to be. I've seen the stats. It sucks that it happens at all. But I wish more people would realize that girls are abused by women way more than women are abused by men. http://thefederalist.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/outlier.png http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/ipv9310.pdf | /r/MensRights | 02/06/14 02:12 PM
Patriarchy Theory and Biology: The Unjust Vilification of Men in Todays Society - Just some personal thoughts. The danger to women isn't from tigers. It's from men who want to fuck and own us. | 4 | Because fuck having a real discussion. (From /r/feminisms)I believe reddit doesn't count those votes since it would make it very simple to downvote a users entire post history from the one page encouraging brigading. | /r/MensRights | 13/05/14 02:23 PM
"The other woman". Three men gang up to take vicious revenge on an unfaithful slut, feeding her hormones, causing spine injury, ruining her financially. A hilarious comedy. (Reversing genders on a movie in theaters near you.)I still fail to see your point. Does poison if used by a woman have less potency than if used by a man? Also, I find it hard to understand when people use womens bodies as a defense for a crime (she is too weak, she is weaker than a man) but then turn around and say that women are just as capable as a man to be a CEO. If women are just as capable as men, they are just as capable of harming men. Physical strength has nothing to do with it. | /r/MensRights | 12/05/14 07:26 PM

Don't get shadowbanned!Because they're not nearly as influential as the MRM thinks they are? Most of the feminists I meet, you wouldn't even know they're feminists This is probably correct, but I think the 2nd wave feminists are derailing this very badly. For example, if you listen to some talks with Dr. Janice Fiamengo (I'm sure you despise her) she talks about her past and how she witnessed her fellow feminists choosing female candidates over males purely for the fact that they were women. I personally work on softw… | /r/MensRights | 05/05/14 04:24 PM
Don't get shadowbanned! If yes then why do most feminists here and on most place I have read on the internet (admittedly not all that much) not shut down 2nd wave radical feminism like they try and shut down mens rights organizations? If anything they are doing more harm to traditional feminism (if that is a correct term) than mens right groups are. Why is it that when someone has a critical thought about feminism it is usually shut down and banned without even a discussion? It really seems to me that 2nd wave feminism… | /r/MensRights | 05/05/14 01:58 PM
Don't get shadowbanned!Ok, but can you guarantee that feminism and it's goals in general are completely harmless to men? Why is it when people get together to discuss feminism and how it affects men in general they are shamed and people do everything they can to silence them? I am 100% sure you are correct that there are people here that will try and silence you but you seem to be trying to do the same thing to everyone here. I think that you helping men is fantastic but that is not what I have determined this sub-red… | /r/MensRights | 05/05/14 01:27 PM
Don't get shadowbanned! It's true. We mock the truthers who can't tell the difference between toxic forms of radical feminism and the kind millions of people belong to, because they're too busy circle-jerking each other in the men's rights version of AMR. Your statement to me is hypocritical since you can't seem to tell the difference between toxic and nontoxic people who support MR... You know, I've been reading MR and Feminism subreddits for months. | -8 | "Men sue university claiming women were paid more"I guess that makes sense. But I don't know if I would go as far as calling this sexist. IMO it is a university trying to save money by ripping people off. | /r/MensRights | 22/04/14 05:22 PM
"Men sue university claiming women were paid more"This was posted before so I am going to say the same thing some of the other comments did. These men do not do the same "job" as the women do. They are in the same "class" or "rank" as the women but do not do the same thing. A lot of people here claim that women get paid less and that's OK because they don't do the same types of jobs as men do. We cannot just say that this is unfair to the men in the article and then turn around and say it's OK for women to get paid differently because they are … | /r/MensRights | 22/04/14 04:26 PM
Great anti-circumcision image from Intact Houston, via Just SmithThat still does not explain why men cannot make that choice when they are older. Also, STDs might be slightly lower but do you factor in complications or death due to infection of the child? | /r/MensRights | 09/04/14 04:27 PM
