No one wants to see the disappearance of the wage gap more than me, I assure you. I don't see it as a women's issue. I see it as a societal issue that has the potential to directly benefit men by making them more able to participate fully in their children's lives, to be able to count on females in their family to earn adequate amounts so they may share the burden of providing more equally, etc... This study was hugely publicized when the findings came out. It was a very stunning turn of events and thus, newsworthy.
