That feels cheap from my perspective. I was just trying to get through after her affair and what she did to the kids and I. She then figured out she wasn't going to be able to support the life she wanted without my financial support so she went for the jugular once she got her lawyer. Over the course of a year, I ended up spending close to $100k between lawer, mediator, etc..

Jeez... I feel like I could have written this. Married 15 yrs, 2 children, ex was highly educated (masters & PhD) but only worked 15 hrs a week at a low key job. I feel for you. I ended up buying out her interest of the dog. 6 months more of alimony or 18k, but now I don't have to deal with that. I hope it works out better for you.
