Correct. It can also be related to privacy settings (number of mutual friends). So if they really value it that highly - move on.

One thing to consider is the potential for group work (in some classes) in the future. Be careful with short term flings if they're interested in more. You do not want to burn too many bridges prior to potentially desiring their assistance. Other than that, its a great room full of opportunities.

1) posts that start off with [FR] are now styled in green on in the sub. 2) posts that start off with [VFR] are now styled in a different color as well on in the sub. These are great additions. Thank you!

True. Post was meant in an encouraging manner. Rough attempt to get him in the right state of mind.

I'm an AFC No. You're not. Wrong attitude. *You are awesome. ** I don't know you, but you sound like fun. There should be no doubt in your mind. Be positive . . . or else. . . do I make myself clear? ;)

Great comment. If you keep going after the oneitis woman, you are going to lose even more money. On the other hand, cutting your loses now lets you move forward and gain real benefits Except that I personally love putting money into my old car. Its more temperamental than any woman, but it also moves a lot faster than any woman. :P

Men are used to emotional intimacy being saved for a special person, women are not. Women find emotional stability in poor romantic relationships, while men do not. The woman doesn't need to get her emotional support from her romantic relationship. In regard to how the nice guy is viewed, the woman sees his actions as those of just another friend, since that's how she would act toward her friends -- freely intimate, physically affectionate. For the woman, its nothing special to be emotionally in…

Interesting read. Here's what I got out of it: For females: Bad relationship > no relationship For males: Being an emotional confidant won't get you anywhere. Sounds like a repeat of many discussions here (albeit summarized).

you don't try to open up a beer with the knife part (at least i hope not)...... If you lack a bottle-opener at a future time, you can do this easily enough. Grab neck of bottle so that the top of your fist is just below the bottle cab. Place the back edge of the knife against the bottle right below the cap, and then twist the knife down and away, levering the bottle cap up and off. Its easy to learn with a butcher's knife, and then you can progress to pocket knives. The more you know . . . .

Lol. Absolutely. pohatu is right on the spot. Do this. The action of doing it is good for you body and will help settle your nerves (some). Other than that, time will help if she really mattered. EDIT: From looking at your (redditor3000) comment history, try to get out and off the computer some too. Reddit's fun, but you'll need first person interaction.

Start with the sidebar. ;) One example (directly from sidebar): http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/fpd8s/refresher_on_passing_shit_tests_agree_and_amplify/ That is the most common way of handling them. Sometimes I think it helps to pretend to take them absolutely seriously, and by doing so make it a ridiculous question.

A girl approaches me and invites me for a drink, I say "sure", we go to the bar, her friends follow, she orders 4 shots and 2 redbulls, racking up $64 and is like "are you going to buy the first round?" - I leave, she gets so pissed haha. Nicely done. :) and $64 for 4 shots? Wow. I get annoyed when shots break the $6 mark.

This. If you "confess" you're going to fuck it up. You have nothing to "confess" - remember that. Confessing' implies its something to be ashamed of.

1) Improve yourself/your life 2) Enjoy your life 3) Add value to social interactions (with both sexes) 4) Look at females. It will help if you can get a few good male friends and have a good time with them. Then you have someone watching your back. If you're trying too hard for females its not going to work - you'll come off as fake. That's why you need to improve yourself first. Confidence is key.

1 hour? Should probably plan ahead a little better. If you neglect to do so in the future though, maybe simply the library? You do have to study after all. . . . and its a non-threatening environment. Talk, slight kino, then move elsewhere

Act confident, mature, etc. Don't mention your age, but if it comes up don't shy away from it.

As usual Throwaway has a very solid description. If you can manage to ramp up the sexual tension than you'll have a much better shot. From your posting history I'd like to mention two things - 1) You look fine. Be confident and you'll come off your absolute best. 2) If you're not looking for sex, don't feel pressured to have it.* *Some others here will probably have slightly varying opinions as to this.

I promise to try not to puke on your shoes! I can verify that this would be a good idea. RaptorButt's put up some good links. The sidebar is also a good. The tl;dr version: You need to start talking and interacting with people, even if it sucks at first

AH well, he deleted the account and from that we can pretty much be guaranteed that my prediction came true. I kind of regretted doing that, I thought he might come back and freak out and delete the post or account, which is why I posted that second msg taunting him to prove me wrong. But it didn't work. Perhaps it was bad of me to comment so early, it incited a pile-on of negativity. But then, many of us know how this "profess your love" thing works because we've been there. Personally I think …

While I would love to be the one to maybe approach a guy, that's going to take a bit of time lol. As of right now, I'm definitely way too shy and I am trying to work on that. Please do. Worst case scenario - they're not interested in talking then (and in that case they're probably not worth talking to anyway). more intimidated when there is a larger group of women True for me. Much easier to introduce yourself to a small/midsized group. And don't get too drunk. That would be counterproductive.

she was keeping me around on the back burner while feeding me lines May I ask why you would want a girl who attempts to do this? Though if she was indeed trying to play you, then a simple apology might work wonders. I'd guess?

I have a hard time "assuming attraction" with girls I already know Why? Have you ever noticed them watching you out of the corner of their eyes? How about a flirty smile when you arrive? Looking for interaction with you? It doesn't matter if it feels "wierd", you need to push through it. How are you going to succeed if you never try? We'll be cheering for you Nycprowl. You've got this, just act confident and go for it.

Perhaps one could differentiate between "the friend zone" and "comfortable association". Upon meeting a girl you could immediately move romantically, or you could build up comfortable association/friendship and then progress romantically. Need to be careful with comfortable association though, as you might miss your chance. Your thoughts? I think the OP is more in the "comfortable association" category than full-blown friendzoned.

It has been about an hour since she replied... I think this is the root of your problem. You really need to stop worrying about how long it takes her to reply. Go about your life, have fun, and check out other ladies. Keep yourself happy and occupied. That way when her text arrives you will just be pleasantly surprised to get it. And remember - there's no need to reply to her immediately. You don't need her, she needs you.

Cliff Notes for PUA - I love it! I think the footnotes after important points are some of the most important pieces in there. They let you move into more detail on a subject quite easily.

I think that this was some solid text-game here, but I might've been too needy on the kids part. What do you guys think? Text-game is something I need to work on a lot myself (though since I hardly ever use text messages that's hard to do). However, I think her response to the kids part was spot on - it would reflect very poorly on her to bring some (effectively) random guy along to babysit kids.

I think this is accurate. If your working in a relatively transient environment (like a restaurant, etc) than it is easier to deal with any potentially negative fallout. In a more permanent job setting though, it could hang around for a long time.
