Would move the clothing part to a meta positon. Add in daily exercise. Then add- Talk to everyone, be friendly and sociable. Approach often, it's a numbers game. Always show high value. Escalate.

Came in to say that joining a fraternity was one of the best parts of my college life. The other was studying abroad. Consider both.

Not sure it matters? Probably no harm in waiting for Friday so you don't re-text after she didn't reply and seem needy. Unless you have something specific you want to tell her? The chapter and verse is that you don't build attraction through text or email.

I think the answer to these two things go together: pull away a little and see if she follows.

Seems more important to keep it exciting. Do cool stuff together, active stuff, non-routine stuff. Less important are the doting sweet syrupy expressions. They can get very routine too, and can seem like begging to keep interest.

Another excellent post from you Leo. I'm 10 years behind you, agree with every word.

Good question. Part of the answer, for me, I think is to follow the "golden ratio". If you are giving emotional validation, make damn sure you are not doing more than she is. Somewhere between 1:1 and 1:3 depending on circumstances. It can be difficult as some women seem not to initiate emotional validation as readily. I don't have enough insight to figure this out for certain, but I suspect it has to do with the seduction having passed too quickly or skipped through a phase, and I suspect that …

Relevant: Can you maintain frame? It can be difficult when you see someone daily at work to keep displaying high value. Depends on your job function and hers. How awkward will it be when you lose interest? What about when she does and is now banging your coworker? That being said, many of us spend most of our waking hours at work, gym and/or classes.

"this girl I have been talking with online" There's the problem. Don't build relationships online, convert to live ASAP. When she flaked, the proper response was dead air. She lost interest, you got even more beta, and now she's gone. You can do better, and you're moving the right way. It's not popular here, but I think putting in some time reading to learn the relevant concepts can help immensely.

If you don't want to risk alienating her, move on. If you want to evolve the relationship, I would start doing exciting things together. Since you already seem to have a lot of comfort, you need to now focus on building attraction (you will need to figure out what that means). At some point, you need to start touching her and making your conversations sexual. At first there can be some plausible deniability, but eventually you will reach a point of no return.

Problem with /r/relationships is the perspective. It's not informed by a realistic world view. There is some great relationship stuff on /r/seduction sometimes though.

Great reply, but depending on your occupation, it isn't always easy to be alpha at work. Inability to maintain this persona is one thing that can kill attraction in the workplace.

There is a lot of that sort of recommendation of "basics" in the sidebar. No doubt those items can look hot, but 98% of the time they look frumpy.

Fit seems to be most important. Why the asterisk on "really" caring about accessories? I'm specifically wondering if wearing a Rolex or Omega would be noticed by women. Versus say, a nice Sinn or a watch most women wouldn't recognize. I don't think I'll ever get into jewelry beyond a watch, isn't me.

Nice. I like khaki chinos but I am finding them difficult to pull off without looking frumpy.
/r/seduction25/09/12 09:03 AM

It's a start. I think fit is important. Not always easy to find things that actually fit well. One of the most stressful parts of clothes shopping. Not everything can be realistically tailored.

Probably true, need to move on when this happens. And work on my own issues.

Maybe so, but it's not like I'm a wet noodle. In situations where I have higher status than the woman, I still find I am having to share with men who are even more alpha. I'm saying that some women fail to recognize a good thing, and persist in, for example, enjoying a married alpha, when they could have a deeper relationship with a fairly high status male. Basically, not having to be discreet about slut behavior.

I read a lot about NLP a number of years ago. The basic framework (getting rapport etc.) makes a lot of sense. The idea that people are suggestible is appealing, but as you say, I think the idea that it would work so easily and with so many people is naive.

Try to find some of Albert Ellis' books at the library or used book store. A New Guide To Rational Living comes to mind, but most of them cover the same ground. This is personal psychology 101 and every man should know the basic concepts of REBT/CBT.

Sounds like you are getting into friendzone already since you have been hanging out without escalation. Stop non-sexual hanging out and steer your conversations into sexual territory and attempt to get her into your frame. Nothing wrong with a female friend if that is what you want, but don't be her orbiter.

Disagree. If I had my hands on this stuff at that age, I would have studied the hell out of it. Would have made HS a little better, but college, which was awesome, would have been a dream. I think there are a lot lessons in our literature that can be applied to having a successful life in general.

How to Win Friends and Influence People is a classic. I think everyone should read it. But it's all commonsensical now: firm handshake, look 'em in the eye and remember their name. You won't get a big boost in skill from it.

Some thoughts. Physical appearance helps game a lot but it is not the only thing. Agree with Roosh that it is getting much more important. Clearly the most important thing is to not be fat or overweight. Nice clothing is not designed for overweight people, and really it isn't made for huge bodybuilder types. Since your genetics are the primary determinant of what you look like, it really doesn't matter if you "prefer" to be jacked or toned. If you work out and keep reasonably lean, you will expr…

Generally, lighter protein based meals (rather than pasta or starch based meals). Steaks, sometimes chicken or fish, with vegetables on the side. Burgers sometimes. Maybe a few roasted fingerling potatoes. Have wine or beer if it's burgers.

I feel the same way sometimes. I'm still beta deep down, despite trying to work on the inner game. Sometimes I wish I could just be myself and have it all work out. I think those younger guys who have their eyes opened by this early enough will have much better lives.
/r/seduction31/08/12 08:57 AM
1

Sure. I mean, I don't really care about protein bars. I wouldn't use some tricky opener, but I would use the context. "Oh, I can never figure out which ones to get. Some of them taste awful, blah blah..." The opening is easy, the tough part is transitioning to a number close in 2-3 minutes...
/r/seduction31/08/12 08:44 AM

Opportunities to open abound. I am kicking myself today after having gone to the supermarket and having seen a fit looking young lady, alone in an isle, being indecisive about which type of protein bar to purchase. I wasn't in the right frame, but these chances come up multiple times per day.

Good questions. I think the standard PUA relationship advice something along the lines of: maintain frame (more-or-less), put some effort into some of your dates, have amazing sex and the emotional part will take care of it self.

Be careful; I have heard far more complaints about strong cologne scents than I have compliments. I don't wear it myself. I rather smell clean, maybe with a little lingering shampoo/deodorant scent.

Yes, if you are approaching girls, it is progress. I'm fairly new to the game concepts myself, and I found that reading Magic Bullets brought me up to speed on the basic ideas. An adequate, older version in pdf is available online if you use The Google.

Perhaps I started with too many dinner type dates, which seems like what relationship minded people do. Maybe I can steer it back to just hanging out and having sex. You're right about jealousy, of course I wouldn't bring it up. It is more like a "maybe he's got a better deal than me" feeling I think.

You must chill. It's normal. Happend to me when younger, I'm sure it has to many people. You might have hung out and watched the movie and gone for it again in a while. /r/nofap has some merit, but maybe you could go for moderation instead of abstinence (i.e. once or twice weekly instead of 5x/day).

Couple of thoughts if she is young, has a nice face, but a chubby (not morbidly obese) body, she probably gets approached quite a bit those approaches probably have ended in pump-and-dump more times than not you plan to do that as well, or set up something NSA where you can bang occasionally but not have to go out with her usual pickup applies: you need to show her that you are higher status/value, build comfort, escalate It would be too easy to pretend you are looking for more just to get the b…

I think that reading some PUA lit and following /r/seduction could benefit many women. The tl;dr would probably go something like: stay trim and fit, dress feminine and well, act interesting but feminine, and then go out, meet men and let it go from there. Also, conversation skills can benefit both sexes.

Old enough to know not to sarge amongst the coworkers. Tail end of my 30's. I suppose what other professionals do is take cool vacations...
/r/seduction09/08/12 09:31 AM

As an older guy, who is "successful" my life revolves around ~65 hours of work per week, and the rest of my time asleep, exercising, daily maintenance (apartment cleaning, cooking, shopping, whatever), or socializing. I don't really do "cool shit" that would interest a woman. This is an impediment to game. Any realistic suggestions? I suppose I have a few weekend/vacations hours to take up an interesting hobby.

I agree. I mean it was good when I read it as a kid, full of "look 'em in the eye and remember their name" type advice. If you need the very basics, go for it. Otherwise, it's simple and dated.
