This goes beyond just attracting females. Wiping down machines, re-racking, and not monopolizing areas of the gym are basic courtesies that far too many people fall short on. Everyone appreciates stuff like that. Although I don't approach at the gym, another valuable asset is social proof. This is going to seem obnoxious, but what I'd do is stretch my arms, lean back, and let out a very audible yawn. When she (and everyone else) looks at you, look back with a coy smile and whisper "was that loud?" Then you can invite her to go get a coffee or something. Haven't investigated enough to have an informed opinion, but just looking at pictures of him, he seems like a weirdo. I'm not really into the whole "peacocking" culture or any type of eccentric dressing styles. It just seems rather idiotic and tryhard.
