With far more than tens of thousands Im pretty sure you'd get a sample size equivalent to the actual population. If not skewed further considering a good percentage of the forces are the officer corps which I presume would inflate the IQ average even higher than the general population.

Depends on the job. There's specialities where I'm sure you would find an overrepresentation of high IQ fellas and vice versa. Not to mention some of the sharpest, most intelligent men I've ever met to this day were soldiers.

I love the part about seeing them as soldiers. I think more of our friends need to be doing just that.
