How do we, as LWMA's, respond to such misinformed people? The comic is so incredibly vague that it could be interpreted in a number of different ways. How do we, as LWMA's, respond to such misinformed people? Like all rhetoric it's nonsense. It's such a ridiculous simplification that it becomes entirely meaningless. Life is not a 10-metre hurdle race or whatever this is supposed to be. In real life many different kinds of people face their own unique problems. Some things are worse for men, and some things are worse for women. This isn't even going into race, or age, or anything else. 35	Question for my fellow LWMA's, how do we respond to statements such as this one? This is rhetoric. Trying to respond to it with reason doesn't work well on its own. We should turn to preponderance of evidence to back our own position but meet rhetoric with our own rhetoric. I'm not great at coming up with my own rhetoric, but something like "a female victim is a tragedy but a male victim is a statistic." Some evidence is itself already very persuasive. There are websites that automatically record posts in case of deletion like this.
