The birth rate debate is so over blown. In 2022, in the US there were less deaths than births. There was roughly 3.6 million births https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/vsrr/vsrr028.pdf. There were roughly 3.2 million deaths. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/vsrr/vsrr028.pdf The US birth rate has been decreasing since the 1950’s yet the population in the US is higher than it has ever been. What is slowing is the pace of population growth. Hardly something that will result in catastrophic extinction.

Woman A. I’m not particularly attracted to Asian women. And the other two have body types that aren’t my thing. So A by default

If I was a woman in Texas or Missouri-where these lawsuits are possible-I’d travel to Norway if I ever needed to terminate a pregnancy. A woman there can demand an abortion on site in the 6-12 week window with no questions asked. The records are confidential. And hospitals in Norway are banned from requiring payment before performing the procedure. One would have to pay 500-1000 euros after the fact. And good luck to someone in Missouri suing for 10,000 dollars when the legal process, fees, and …

Legally speaking he’s right. Dude clearly has a legal background. Law isn’t about what’s ethically or even morally right in the US. It’s about being constitutional.

Then the rich will just travel to Canada. Or Western Europe. Conservative can only legislate so far.

What about the women who get raped by their dad? The new laws prohibit it even in cases of rape or incest. With karyotype testing we’re able to identify chromosomal abnormalities that are inconsistent with life beyond months. Why should a woman have to go through nine months of carrying a baby to term, knowing that baby is doomed to die within months of birth. That’s just cruel and unjust.

Abortion will be illegal in half the US. In the northeast, west coast, Colorado, and Illinois it’ll remain intact. Those states will likely push to expand abortion access. People with resources in the red states will be able to travel to the blue states or even abroad for an abortion. Ultimately lower income folks will bear the brunt of this. I’m sure some women will be more wary. But most women I know with liberal views on casual sex use birth control and live in deeply blue states. So it seems…

Lol. Ok dude. I’m fit and will remain that way. I’m a med student now. Then comes residency. I’ll be 29 by the time I’m even able to be an attending. If I do a fellowship (I’m leaning towards heme-onc) I’ll be 32 before I have the time to actually dedicate to a long term relationship. Most doctors I know (female and male) don’t really start to settle down until they’re older. Especially when you’re in a large, liberal, urban city. Maybe I’d feel differently if I was living in Bismarck. I’d say o…

If by “asshole” you mean: bold, confident, has a swagger, doesn’t take any shit, and goes after what he wants… then of course women will be attracted to that. Even if you’re not relationship minded, those are sexy characteristics. If by asshole you mean: being disrespectful, violent, or excessively pushy then most women will not be into you.

When I’m 35 I’ll want to be in a long term committed relationship. We all age and having someone who has our back for life is important. Plus having a partner to raise kids too. Now…I want something on going but don’t want the drama of a relationship. Sleeping around does carry risks so multiple partners for casual sex doesn’t appeal to me. But I could care less about long term commitment at this stage of life.

Have you actually seen some of those carvings in person? They’re graphic. Of course things are in high definition now. People in the 900’s didn’t have the technology to make videos of real people fucking. We’re used to that so we view anything from antiquity through our modern eyes. The people who were alive then though were able to view sexual imagery without blaming all sexual dysfunction on it. How smooth is your brain that you think that some kind of evolutionary change in terms of sexuality…

Porn is unlikely to be the issue. Look at the carvings on the Khajuraho temple in India. The sculptings are fairly hardcore. Images of a guy having foursomes with 3 women in a total jackhammer position. People have taken pleasure from erotic imagery for millennia. The only thing that’s different is the medium in which it’s consumed. Less sex is more likely due to: -an increasingly sedentary lifestyle https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22145804/ -poor diets, particularly increased glycemic consumpti…

I’d say a quality match is a guy who is: -attractive to me -has an interesting bio -doesn’t use text speak or low effort messages like “hey” -doesn’t launch into sexual talk and instead asks questions and shows that he wants to get to know me

Agreed. Can get 2k-3k matches a month if you swiped right all the time. But after getting 20-30 quality matches I would stop too. Otherwise it’s exhausting.

The definition will be different for every person. For me: it’s physically doing something (kissing, going on a date, having sex) with someone without my consent/knowledge. What I don’t consider cheating: strip clubs, porn, flirting with other women, checking people out. Don’t care about my guy sleeping with someone else as long as I get to sleep with her too. 😉

I’m one of those women. I’m 23 and dating someone 22 years older. Though he looks like he’s in his early 30’s. And honestly is in better shape than anyone I know. Dude just did a half marathon in 1:42 at the age of 45. Most of my friends date men 4-5 years older. And women in general age better then men. They actually go to the doctor for yearly check ups . Both genders can look good as they age, assuming they put effort into it. The point being that OP doesn’t need to hide his age. He should be…

I feel like I’ve already judged him by that point. Is he a good conversationalist? Am I attracted to him? Is there a spark? If the answer is no, then whether or not he offers to pay is irrelevant. And if I like him it’s sort of irrelevant to me too…him wanting to pay or not isn’t going to usurp the entirety of the date.

I like to split the bill if there’s 0 chemistry. I personally think it’s rude to let the guy pay for it if I know I’ll never see him again. If there’s chemistry then I like to let him pay for the first date and I’ll usually offer to pay for the 2nd.

The funniest thing about FDS is their irrational hypocrisy. They all want guys who have money and who’ll pay for all the dates. But they don’t want men who have high paying jobs who can do just that. Lawyers are unethical. Doctors are covert narcissists. Engineers have no social skills. And on and on and on. 🙄

Make eye contact with the girl when talking to her. Smile when you say hi to her. Have something interesting to say. It could be a cool travel story. It could be a fun random fact. It could be asking her what kind of wine she’s drinking if there’s a glass in her hand. Just anything other than “you’re so hot”. Make sure your clothes are ironed or dry cleaned. Wear cologne. Keep your shoes shined. Stand up straight. Shoulders back. Ask follow up questions. I don’t how old you are…but if you ask a …

There’s also increasing evidence that kids born to older mothers tend to be better educated and have higher raw intelligence. And are taller. https://www.popsugar.com/family/Study-Benefits-Having-Kids-Later-Life-44898521/amp

It all boils down to what your risk tolerance is. Yes there is higher risk with advanced maternal (and paternal) age. But the absolute risk is still low. Only approaches 5% risk for major issues when the mother is 45. It’s about 2% when you’re 40. To me that’s low probability. But I can see those who are less risk tolerant may not want to even deal with those odds. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/317861#Risks-of-delaying-pregnancy-until-age-35-years-or-older

Men and women end relationships with great partners routinely. It can be because you have to move to a new city. Or that your life focuses have diverged. Sometimes people enter into a short term fling for fun knowing there’s an expiration date to it.

I don’t think a relationship that ends is time wasted. It can still be a fun and interesting experience. Some women date for fun and to have a partner for a while. The goal of dating isn’t always to find a husband. That’s especially true when you’re in high school, college, or grad school. My mom was 42 when she had me. If you’re healthy and have good genes there’s a 20 plus year window to have kids. I have no intention of marrying anyone until I’m at least 30-35 and have no intentions to birth …

I like paying for dates. Maybe not the first. But on the 2nd or 3rd I prefer to pick up the tab. It’s an insult to the autonomy of women to label us pick me’s just because we want to do something nice for someone we may be into. Dating is about reciprocations. Most of my friends do the same.

I agree! If I like a guy and think he’s hot/cool I’m happy to pay my share. I want to show the guy that I’m into him and not just using him.
