I got a somewhat balanced reply. That’s a strong statement — and I get where it might be coming from. A lot of systemic issues, historically and even now, have roots in patriarchal structures, power imbalances, and toxic masculinity. But it’s also important to remember that problems in society are often about systems and cultures rather than one entire group of people. Not all men contribute to harm, and many actively fight against injustice too.

And apparently Accenture has not taken any action against her. Imagine a man in the same situation. He would have been fired the day the news would have broke.

Just one small correction: He has named the judge overseeing his case, not lawyer. And no judge is allowing the arrest of another judge anywhere in the world.

Not a problem. Yeah, I can understand. While I am not a programmer by profession, I know some things about it. I didn’t go all in because IMO coding is fun as long as you are enjoying it, which simply isn’t possible in the corporate environment. It drains you out. Have you tried meditating? Calm or Headspace have some good, helpful stuff.

I went through similar shit. I am 40, divorced with only a married sister as family. Was working as a journalist for a local newspaper for pennies and got laid off with just a month’s pay in 2020. Despite experience, constantly had to face off against halfwit HR people who think that you’re automatically useless once you are past 35. But got a very well-paying job after struggling for six months. It does get better. As for the loneliness, develop hobbies. I game, learn new languages and skills, …

Definitely don’t try India. I feel immense pain while saying this, but Indian laws and judges are as bad as, if not worse than, the judiciary in US & Europe. Things will just get worse with a Harvard-trained chief justice adhering to US-style progressivism.

This trend is now global. An advertisement’s main object, per classical marketing, is giving the brand recall value. Adding an identity/message is secondary. Now, message (haphazardly crammed and frightfully woke in most instances) has taken precedence over brand recall.

If you see the video, one of the girls tried to go back to the car because she had left her phone inside, while the victim lay dying just a few feet away from her. Criminal and sociopathic. Can we feel safe with such people around us?

My bad then. Asian Muslim, as the victim was Pakistani American. Still problematic as he was a person of color.

I was curious how they played this, as the victim was a Muslim and the perpetrators African-American. Both minorities and featuring quite high on the oppression pyramid. In the end, the victim’s gender went against him. Wonder how they try to spin this.

Same with me. Believed in equality and looked at my ex as an equal partner in everything. Parents also believed in the same and were perhaps even more accommodating as my grandmother was a monster in law and my parents were firm on ensuring that their daughter in law did not suffer even a fraction of what they faced and went out of their way multiple times to ensure it. The result: mother’s Parkinson’s accelerated into dementia and father simply lost the will to live after getting the notice for…

Nah, trust me. We ARE catching up in both terms. The laws are now administered much more strictly and unscrupulous women have already started to take undue advantage of them.
/r/MensRights28/02/21 01:42 AM

No. It’s not black and white. Yes, women are mistreated in some areas of the country, but doesn’t that hold true for most of the world, including the US? But the laws formed in the 80s to protect women from violence need to be updated. Here are some figures about the notorious 498 a. This documentary lists some of the cases of misuse.
/r/MensRights27/02/21 03:52 AM
19

Women considered shit? Know about 498 a and how it is fueling suicides here? Please don’t generalise. Politicians of all parties have done nothing to alleviate the situation and to make the laws gender-neutral, so I fully agree on the ‘moron’ part though.
