Happened in my town , kid I went to high school with went to the same party as her and saw the kids in the car but did nothing. He wasn’t the father or anything just one of the party goers but he got a much higher sentence than she did. Still fucked up he didn’t do anything for the kids and could’ve prevented their deaths but it doesn’t make sense to me that he got a bigger sentence than their own mother, the one who left them in the car in the first place.
