When I was thinking about leaving early on in the marriage I happened to be listening to a family therapist on a show say "if you lay with a man and have his babies you're in for the long run. Unless there's the three AAA's Addiction, Adultery, Abuse". So I played my part in the marriage until the last one graduated high school. I have no regrets. My kids are thriving and I am still friends with my ex-husband. 🫶

It breaks my heart to know that you are not treated well or appreciated. If you want to feel better start working on yourself i.e. join a gym, eat health, take care of your appearance, go for walks/hiking/biking. You will feel better mentally. It's time to put your wellbeing as a priority. As a parent we tend to neglect ourselves. Remember you have to find meaning in your life. You may not be able to change your circumstances right now but you can change yourself. 💜

I recommend seeking a family law attorney not only for child custody, and alimony but to help navigate retirement assets. I'm a mother of 3 adult sons. My eldest son went through a nasty divorce 3 yrs ago. I came across "divorce men"" and suggested he post or at least read your comments but he was so angry and hurt I couldn't convince him (she cheated 2x). I also witnessed how the divorce impacted my grandkids 😭. I moved in with my son to help with the kids, they are now 17, 11, 7 (his choice). …

I'm a woman that follows this forum too. I came upon it while searching for information to share with my son. STBEX cheated (again). Son and children were devastated. From this forum I have shared helpful advice, and stories about other men whom are in similar situations.

Wait a minute...a bad woman has nothing to do with being a single mom Imo. From what I read OP didn't have much experience with women. And fell in love so quickly. I would advise to date within in your own age range, no kids and date for a year before jumping into marriage.

She didn't leave you. God took her out of your life because she wasn't a good woman. You deserve so much better! Go have the best life ever...best revenge!!

I know a dozen or so women that would give their right arm for a man like you. From my experience good men seem to end up with bitchy women!! Get out while you're still young. You're sanity is more important than whatever is keeping you from divorcing her.

Make an effort to stop saying I'm not that kind of guy. You said she understood but I say she was never okay with it. She just tried not to let it bother her. Are your jokes about her? Therapy would definitely help.

Just so you know there are many woman out there that feel the same way...not interested in a relationship but are looking for a friend to hook up for benefits. If you need a quicky check out a massage parlor. You'd be happyly surprised. Many have extra services.

Great advice!! OP listen to your online brothers theyve been there. As you're moving on don't look back, don't stare down keep your head on a swivel otherwise you'll miss opportunities to meet new people and experience awesome adventures. You got this!

I didn't hire a lawyer but my ex did. He spent thousands of dollars. Me nothing..had a free consultation with a female divorce attorney. She made a list of everything to ask for. Nothing excessive. I was fair but firm. The court sent us to mediation. Which help us work out child custody. He bought me out of the house and I walked away never looking back.

Congratulations!! Glad you were able to work it out and keep the family intacted. Unfortunately very few couples are willing to try to fix the issues. I applaud you and your wife.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
