Sounds like you really are struggling, but you obviously care, don’t be so hard on yourself. You are living through the hardest part of your life in a time when the world has turned upside down. Please practice some self love and take care of yourself so you can get through this.

The fact that you are aware of (and reject that mindset) speaks highly of your ability to grow and become a person that has decent and respectful values. You may be surprised how much that is prized by other people. Unfortunately a lot of people your age aren’t aware or mature enough to appreciate that just yet. Hang in there.

Advice is only a perspective really. Everyone has their own. I found when I was in high school, that’s when I was learning about all the different perspectives and opinions and experiences that are out there. That was how I was able to examine what made sense to me, what didn’t and I learned to take bits that fit for me, that aligned with my values and leave that which didn’t. I think we forget about the constant drumming into our subconscious all the media crap since the day we were born. Get to know and learn to respect that each person you interact with is another, real person. A person who has value simply because they exist. And yes that includes people that do bad things. It doesn’t mean that what they do is right, but there is always another perspective. Theirs. Try and see it through their eyes.
