It sounds like he’s sweating man. Did you read?? Do not watch those boys. Stand firm OP. No reason to create that environment for either of you, you are in the right here. You are your own person.

It’s a hassle to change and you probably have a good name. She probably still hates you. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Do not trust DCFS they are not your friends. Lean on your lawyer. The system is fucked. Are there any orders of protections/restraining orders in place?

Yup that’s real shit. So when you’re dating be straight up “I’m not interested in anything else. We can mess around. See where it goes.” That’s also manageable.

If you fish be prepared for a bad catch that’s all. Marriage is 75 percent destined to fail. Edit: (You literally knew this going in.) It doesn’t mean you don’t have any incentive to be a good person. Be you. Just kinda forget about the women as a motivator man. They’re mostly shit.

Why isn’t your lawyer serving them?

Time really. You just have to go through it. It sucks so much. Try not to drink it traps you in a loop.

I’m curious does anybody have any stories of how things turned around for them once they got an attorney? Can you tell me more OP comment? What about in my situation that would be strictly children related no marriage?

Are you in this situation now?

Well in my specific case, no. She is attempting to use an order of protection to overturn a temporary parenting plan. She just said it. But without rehab stints, DUIs, police arrests, and even CPS/DCFS neglect stuff—her saying it, really shouldn’t be a factor, however it VERY much is. Crazy allegations and rants (and patient judges) a hundred percent affect the tone. That was kinda my point.

Well, I hope so because my ex has said everything to make me look bad in court. Sure, they say it doesn’t matter but some judges definitely feed into the drama. I don’t know how the rest of the hearings are going to go but she got like 60 seconds to talk shit about me. “He’s intoxicated all the time, I want him to stop using the children against me, and stop calling me” just last week. I don’t know how many cases you’ve followed but unrepresented parties usually get to talk ALOT.

Yup, you’re in for a trip. Make sure to get ahead of that and double down on the family violence thing. CPS should have been called by the police to the house, if they didn’t (which is weird) you should have. It’s an ugly thing but even if it looks like you have the right cards to protect yourself, things can completely the other way in one hearing.

Please read the Rules of this subreddit. The confused one is you.

You claimed authority as an attorney, then responded with “LMAO,” gender stereotypes, and emotional bait. That alone makes the claim hard to take seriously.

You didn’t use “context clues,” you filled gaps with assumptions. Nothing in the OP establishes control, or the power dynamic within the relationship, or emotional safety issues. Assigning blame based on gender and speculation isn’t analysis, it’s projection. No competent attorney would rely on gender-based “context clues” to reach factual conclusions.

Hi, there’s no evidence for your baseless assumption. Please don’t lurk this subreddit to spew your nonsense. This is well within the rules of the subreddit. You “truly” think the problem is the OP?? With this little amount of information? Please.

Very good response, I actually agree with a lot of that. That said, it’s also worth noting that you can build and run local models that don’t “bond” with the user the way consumer, commercial LLMs do. You can explicitly configure them not to validate the user’s position by default and to automatically surface counterarguments. You can even require the model to produce a two-sided analysis every time: a steelman of the opposing position, a steelman of the user’s position, where each side is weake…

Tools don’t replace thinking, they amplify it. Personal AI is already becoming standard tool, and every household will have some version of it. Adapt or stay your course, but it’s futile.

It does feel like that sometimes! It’s designed to get you to keep chatting and I think that’s where that sycophantic feeling comes from. I’ve had some crazy results where I just keep telling it “I don’t know man. I need you to stop playing with me and be ruthless. Don’t tell me what I want to hear, tell me how this really plays out, don’t hype me up..” to the point where it’s basically insulting my logic and way of thinking. AI is scary.

You can go about it that way or you can just revise the prompt to be brutally honest with you and not say things that you want to hear. As long as you keep reminding it here and there. It will stay objective.

We can agree to disagree and just call it here. I’m not trying to be rude on purpose but absolutely none of your comment is a matter of fact. There is nothing wrong with this guys post, this is raw expression in its purest form. It just sounds like you’re parroting feel-good gym bro advice and trying to pass it off as moral philosophy.

It’s more so the holier-than-thou vibes that make your comments extremely off-putting.

Things will get better. But they won’t feel like it now. Use that hate and frustration, channel it and mold it into motivation to make your life better. You will come out of this happier and stronger. I know the mere idea of that seems so unreachable right now, and it’s never going to stop hurting. You will just learn to live with the pain. And in the end it will make you better.

That’s good let the bitch be grateful. He is processing. He’s part of the brotherhood now. He is venting and it’s okay to hate her. You’re not some expert bro, I fucked a girl the same weekend I separated. I still felt empty and was wishing that her ass (my ex) would die in a car accident. Gym doesn’t fix this. Time does. We’re all different brother.

Yeah not everyone is you bro. And there’s nothing wrong with grieving differently.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
