its pretty impossible to get rid of sexism towards women without getting rid of the gender roles that hurt men. So it helps everyone! Women are at the disadvantage socially and politically overall, but a lot of the issues MRAs complain about would be solved if these gender roles were gone. Women getting custody unfairly, mens suicide rates, the list goes on. I don't think it's silly at all, sexism hurts everyone, women just get the brunt of it. It's not men's fault, and it's not women's either. It's a byproduct of sexism. If we stop expecting men to not feel any emotions whatsoever and stop painting women as irrational and hormonal this would not happen.

Men having higher rates of suicide and low rates of women in office are both symptoms of the same sexist gender role. Men are seen as unemotional and logical, and women are seen as emotional and irrational. This damaging belief hurts both genders, and it's the very thing that feminism seeks to undo. Women aren't doing this to men, sexism is.
